Hey Joe,

No Hendrix pun intended. Just new to your site. I'll have to admit that I'm a little behind the times on your latest material, but that's sort of on purpose as I am recording my first instrumental cd and am trying not to listen to anyone at this point (kind of wierd but it seems that subconsiouly stuff sort of bleeds in, and I am NOT trying to record anyone but me). Have been a fan since '88 when I first heard Satch Boogie (that song STILL hits my like a runaway bus), and once I am finished w/ the disc, will catch up on your material, along with a host of others.

Keep Shreddin,

Al

British police say singer Amy Winehouse has been found dead at her home in London on Saturday, July 23, 2011. The singer was 27 years old.

Matt Dunham / ASSOCIATED PRESS

Wow, that sucks.

Dead at 27 - Robert Johnson, Brian Jones, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Kurt Cobain, Pat Tillman, Joseph Merrick, Andrés Escobar Saldarriaga, and on and on, and on...

Slan, I know you respected Amy. Sorry man.

Cadel Evans becomes the first Australian who win the Tour de france. Bravo! He's a great champion. The British sprinter Mark Cavendish won the last step on the Champs élysées.

PRAYERS: please for my Brother Bob who is suffering kidney failure. I fly down Monday to say goodbye......soon maybe. Only thing that could help is a DIRECT donation. Not to likely. Sad times for the wife and the rest of the family as well. If they would only let a diabetic donate....it would have not gotten to this. Will try to be strong. Talk soon. Thanks everyone!!
