All-Star MUSE Benefit Concert Supporting Disaster Relief In Japan And Non-Nuclear Groups This Weekend

On Sunday August 7, an all-star line-up will perform a benefit concert for Musicians United for Safe Energy at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, CA; showtime is 3PM. The event supports disaster relief efforts in Japan and organizations worldwide working to promote clean, safe energy and appropriate technologies toward a non-nuclear future. The presenting sponsor, VantagePoint Capital Partners, is the leading global investor in energy innovation and efficiency.

The line-up includes Crosby, Stills & Nash, Jackson Browne, Bonnie Raitt, Jason Mraz, The Doobie Brothers, Tom Morello, John Hall, Kitaro, Jonathan Wilson, Sweet Honey in the Rock?plus special guests. The artists will perform together throughout the show, with Browne and Raitt anchoring the first set, and Crosby, Stills & Nash closing the show. would anyone advise against a used Mini Colossal for $180 (110 pounds) plus a $20 1 year warranty from Guitar Center?

I want to so bad. A little over a year ago, I got 2 grand from graduation, I had enough to get either a JS1200 or a really nice amp. But I spent it on my first semester at college.

go figure I spent the money I earned from finishing school on more school.

It'll pay off in the long run, so for now I'm looking for the best sound for the lowest cost. These little improvements like a new pickup are still doing wonders so I cant wait until I have the means to get JS guitars and JVMs.

And I wonder if Joe gets all his equipment for free or does he have to pay anything?

and if he signs a contract he probably gets free equipment and then gets paid to use it. I gotta write some songs and sign with someone :P

Toosh, I love the way Campitelli drums. IMO his playing has improved leaps & bounds since the first time I saw Joe '96 or whenever it was. He's not flashy or a show-off like some of my other choices, but he always looks like he's having such a great time and really loves what he's doing. Between that and the dimples, he makes my list :-)

Toosh, ok, let's see yer list! lol! Stu crossed my mind, as well as Joe's other bass players. I have cd's from Stu & Matt Bissonette, and I like them, but they're not my favs. Top 20 for sure though, but not top 5. Allan Whitman played the balls off the Wormhole gig too. Fantastic player. I could have put Billy Cobham in instead of Jeff, but it wasn't all about technical players - just players we really dig listening to.
