What if the flag got burned from a vicious, callous and dispassionately elusive lightning bolt that cause to flag to be inflamed faster than the Hindenburg disaster

Where do we stand

As far away from the lightning bolt as possible.

Edit - Note that I resisted the urge to suggest you should stand on a metal bucket with the flag in your hand. LOL

Actually, the proper way of disposing of an American Flag is by burning. Flags are donated to VFW members and they have a day once every year to dispose of the flags in a dignified manner. They properly fold the flags and then burn them ceremonially.

But about the flag being burned disrespectfully, yes, it should be a hate crime. The flag represents the people, our freedom, our unity as 50 different states, but as one nation, etc. The flag is more to us than just an icon. It's a reflection upon us. It's a sign of hope and will and fellowship. It's more than "just" a flag.

buying the satchurator soon, with my tip money. Sadly, they don't have the TimeMachine, Big Bad Wah, or the Ice9 pedals

Does anyone know how to do a pinch harmonic? Iv been trying and following videos online, and still it doesn't work. Im using a Fender Squier, a Fender Frontman 15G amp, and a First act distortion pedal I bought secondhand cheaply

Precisely my point. It's the thought that counts.

If an action is legal if done with reverence, it should not be a crime if done with disrespect. To make it so contradicts the concepts of liberty upon which this nation was founded.

I am not defending flag burning, as some of you seem to think, but defending the principles for which the flag stands for me. Liberty and Justice for all; not just for those who happen to agree with me, or the government, or those who think such irreverence justifies violence, whether by an individual or the state.

Some of you might remember the 1776 in the old handle; it was not there for looks, and the sentiment remains.

I would agree that, if you feel strongly enough against the country to burn the flag, you should strongly consider leaving; I'll even help you pack and drive you to the airport.

My disagreement is with the introduction of force into the equation. When something is made illegal, it necessarily entails force at some level. This is not acceptable if we are to maintain a semblance of liberty.

Hello Joe! OK, www.billeggleston.com I met you after the show on my birthday, Dec 19th Chicago Theater. I missed the original M&G and I am so happy that I was able to meet you after the show. After talking to one of the sound engineers (I was the one that gave you the Korg Monotron stocking stuffer for Christmas). The pictures never came out. The camera (even though it talked) had a major malfunction. I am attending your concert this Thursday. I am in the VIP Section A. Is there a chance we can meet up and get another photo? I also have requested a photo pass from the venue as I did have a photo pass a couple of months ago for the UFO/Mindflow concert at the HOB. I can give you my website number which is (708) 365-9067

Anybody have a comment on the Chickenfoot teaser???

Too short for a start. And the heavier feel is great, hope the whole CD is similar.

Break a leg tomorrow Joe, and happy birthday in advance for Friday.
Its our turn for a tour Joe!!

Skippygirl - I love the new teaser. It isn't much to go on, but I like it more than the Down The Drain teaser we got in 2009 if that means anything. I like this riff more than most of the riffs on the first album, but I'll have to wait and hear what the whole song is like...and the whole album for that matter.

What about everyone else?

Listening to: Dredg - Chuckles And Mr. Squeezy (current song: The Ornament)

Hey, Joe! What's going down? :)

First of all, I need to say that you are one of the absolute best! If not THE best guitarist in the world. When I play, some people say after the show "I hear you've listened a lot to Joe Satriani, right?", and I think like "heh, I'll be damned. I can play a little bit like him! I must be a demiGod or something". Well, it's only a coupple of riffs, but I guess it's something, when it's from you ! :D

But I have a question for you, Joe.

How can I become a better guitarist? I practice a lot, I play with soul (the devil has not got all of it yet... hehe), but my right wrist has been chrished once, so it's not as it was.

Do you have any advices? :)

Again, Joe, you're the best!

Bw, Audun

I am SO there cheese! Signed up (& donated) earlier in the week... these are some of my favorite musicians of all time. Joe & Steve obviously, but Tony MacAlpine will be amazing to see (just got my signed CD & tee in the mail last week!) plus, Brendon Small? I'm a HUGE fan of his... and then Dweezil to top it all off? I've seen ZPZ 5 times, they never disappoint.

The big question for me is how many bands will Mike Keneally sit in with? He could sit in with Joe (on keys!) and Steve (on stunt guitar) or Brendon, again as rhythm and/or Dweezil on pretty much any of the FZ stuff. There aren't many people who could do what MK does, pun intended: that dude wears a LOT of hats!

This webcast is going to kick some serious ass!!!

See y'all there!!!

smooches,
» Phy³ . . .

p.s. - does anyone know the start time? I couldn't find any mention of when it will start on any of the pages.

I hope lots of people are able to tune in. I doubt anyone needs a reminder, but the first Cliff Show was amazing. :-)

Look for me in my SWTA 20th anniversary shirt!

And I still have that extra ticket...does anyone want to buy it off me?

DTS - "Dweezil's keys/sax player" = Scheila Gonzalez. She is absolutely amazing, plus a WICKED sense of humor!

Read all about her!

Al - I'll be doing my best to capture it, if everything works out I won't mind sharing with those less fortunate!

Phydeaux_3, the info says the show starts at 8...my son, the genius, has figured out how to hook up the computer to my tv so we can watch it on a much larger screen than the computer monitor....we're EXCITED!!! And don't forget that Orianthi is also playing, we saw her play live as an opener for one of the Steve Vai tours and she was freakin' amazing! The whole show is gonna ROCK!!

Chris was also trying to figure out how to save, capture, record or something as a video, but that hasn't worked out so far. I really think they should be filming this to sell as a way to make even more monies for Cliff AND help out the fans who aren't able to attend or tune in. Even though we get to watch it streaming live, I'd buy a dvd of it in a heartbeat!

As to the auctions, Joe's guitar is up to $4,550 in the auction with just over 5 days to go, and Steve's guitar is at $12,600. And lets not forget Paul Gilbert's guitar at $1,825! Some nice money right there!! Bid if you can!! I'd love to go for Joe's guitar, it's truly a one-of-a-kind and worth bunches, but the ole' pocketbook just can't accomodate right now....sigh. Hope someone who truly loves Joe ends up with it!

Austin, have a great time! What am I saying, I KNOW YOU WILL! I'da bought yer ticket so fast both our heads would spin, if I had a way to be in LA :) Hope you find a buyer, and please report back when it's over to give us the run-down of your impressions, k?

Alan, I hope you gave yer bus driver last night a big hug and kiss fer getting you home safely, lol! Is it good or bad that yer such a frequent (passed out) passenger that he knows where yer stop is? :D

HAVE FUN TONIGHT JOE!! WE LOVE YA!
