New member here on the site has a question or two. :D

The primary question I have is thus: How do I go about improving outside of what I know if I'm stuck in my comfort zone?

This has been going on for the past year and it's driving me nuts. I know full well I can learn your stuff, or some of your songs at least, as I learned Love Thing through and through.

Is there any sort of method that you used to move past what you were comfortable playing?

The style I have is that of generic rock/metal. I was influenced by Zakk Wylde, namely his solo from No More Tears, and try to mimic the sound you produce. I've been playing for about six years too. I'll try to get up a video of me playing to get a better idea of where I'm at.

But if you or anyone else can give me some kind of advice of what to do here, it would be greatly appreciated. ^_^

Talking about chords, I played my first ever two power chords last week. My old carroty slightly arthritic fingers are not taking to learning the guitar very easily. I'll keep trying for a while though.

Hi JOE, even if i know U don't need, i just wanna tell U i created a concept which i BlueDream to see on one of Ur Tshirts Collection or just on one of Ur Guitars with a sticker even the smallest in the World) representative of this very same concept.

I'm not an opportunist: if i chose U, it's just 'cause Hendrix&Zappa don't answer anymore & 'cause Ur Sounds have been in my mind since about 20 years now.

I'm from France. So it might be impossible to realize this utopist project. Anywave, i have to believe!!!!!!!

Here's the link towards my concept (go straight on the "BLOG" page & visit the "archives". The problem is that it's mostly French written. Sorry about that)

www.philippejacquet.com

Please don't misunderstand me: i'm not a professionnal & the Tshirts & stickers i made are not the quality i'd like them to be)

Respectfully

Phil XXI

what's the JS1000 like? or the JS100? 'cause it's unlikely that i'm going to be able to save enough money for a JS1200 in a year's time.

Thanks people

Hi! I'm stopping by to inquire about using some of Joe's music for a soundtrack. I have a novel in progress and would like to use Time Machine on a teaser vid I'll be putting together as part of my promo efforts. This would be a free to view vid, so no $ involved. Is Joe okay with fans doing this sort of thing?
