I just bought this cd/dvd the other day and I'm finally getting around to watching the dvd part of it. Still haven't heard the cd yet. It's fanfriggintastic! Here's a clip - KENNY WAYNE SHEPHERD ~ 10 DAYS OUT ~ BLUES FROM THE BACKROADS It's soooo good!!!
Hey Joe, have you seen this yet? It's been out since '06, but this is the first I've seen it. Most of the blues players Kenny plays with are in their 90's, and they still kick ass!! Four of the gentlemen he played with passed away in 2005, but by the grace of God, Kenny & his crew got to document their brilliance one more time.
Woot!

Joe....Satch...I know you've heard it all before many times, but I am seriously your #1 FAN, and have been since the 80's (I have almost every album/CD). You will never know how much. "Always" is on my cell, and "Rubina" is my most favorite love song of all time. You are so very lucky to have each other. PLEASE come back to "House of Blues" in Boston (12/10 was sooo f'g awesome). Also, good luck with Sammy, Michael & Chickenfoot. The BEST ever! You've got it all!! Soooo miss Cabo (& Wabo), but can't afford it, since my divorce (miss "Mar De Cortez" hotel). So appreciate YOU and your musical genious, Joe.....forever...and ever. Thank you for it ALL. Your music MOVES me like NO other can (cry). You have made my life "complete." Then wouldnt it be a great idea for people like you to contribute something positive so those less fortunate souls who irritate people by asking for prayers for their sick/dying/dead relatives dont suck the air out of the room with their misfortune.
Lets turn those frowns upsidedown!

Brand of Freak (Springfield,MO.) is a solicited unsigned band who has a NEW, full length LP, produced by Jim Wirt, known for his work with Incubus, Snot, Fiona Apple, & Sevendust, NOW AVAILABLE on iTunes, Amazon, Last.fm & emusic. I am taking the next 6-8 months to really try to sell this album to a record label. Do you have any suggestions on what would be the best way of doing that? I saw you were following us on twitter....and I know you probably did not even now that, but none the less, check us out at reverbnation.com. or you can contact me trough this site, or at brandoffreak@hotmail.com. Thanks for your input and I am looking forward to your response. Thanks,
Nate White

I doubt Joe will play a concert in WI. Unless he plays at Summerfest in Milwaukee. Summersong at Summerfest, sounds good to me.
Only time I saw him in WI was at Cascio Interstate Music in New Berlin for an in-store appearance.
All the concerts I see him at are in Chicago. Its a 2-3 hour drive from Madison but its always worth it!

what? nothing positive to say? I didn't think so. maybe the prayers & good vibes should be for the compassionless people who instead of saying something nice to someone when they're down would rather balk at people who do.
sad really.

Hey Joe, just curious but why don't you do G3 tours any more? Those things were amazing... And the G3 jams were some of the best things to ever be caught on tape...

no1joefan, Joe still does the G3 thang. Since he recently released Black Swans and Wormhole Wizards, and has been working on Chickenfoot III, he hasn't had time for any G3's. Maybe next year or the year after, but I know he'll be doing more of them as soon as time allows.
Chickenfoot III Germany release. Wonder if the t-shirt says CHICKENHEAD
:-o
LOL!
One of my lovely friends gave me Sammy's book for my birthday. I'll get around to it some day. I really need to start reading more/faster/more. Sooo many books! Love it! Reading Nikki Sixx: This Is Gonna Hurt right now. Anybody else reading any music bios?

Mahavishnu - Thanks for posting that link...I'm really looking forward to that album. And I still need to pick up Cheap Trick's version of that album as well, from a few years ago...I've heard it's great.
michelle - You'll enjoy Sammy's book. He's been through A LOT...it's amazing to see how much success he's had, considering how poor his family was when he was young.
I'm finishing up Steven Tyler's Does The Noise In My Head Bother You? right now. I think the band's autobiography from 1997 (Walk This Way) is better, but I'm a picky fan.
ST's book has been out for a few months, but I stopped reading it after a few chapters and got into Rick Wakeman's two books (Grumpy Old Rock Star and Further Adventures Of A Grumpy Old Rock Star). It's a collection of his funniest road stories mixed in with biographical stuff...very easy to read, and entertaining. Rick's a great storyteller.
What is everyone else reading?
...Austin...
