Big B, as soon as you said boy band song, I started singing All the...small things... LOL! That's not a song I want stuck in my head! That's the reason I dig the guys - they're hilarious! Travis is always the straight guy, but the other two are nuts. Mark's latest tweet that just came over my phone 30 secs ago -

markhoppus ~ Where's catering?! Tour ended yesterday and now there's no one to make me food. Where's the dressing room?! TURN THOSE MACHINES BACK ON!!

Chickenfoot III dvd? This is the only thing I see./ I already have the first cd x2, and the Get Yer Buzz On dvd, and the CF III cd. Is the dvd that comes with CF III only 1 new song and 2 old ones for a 3 song total?

I think AL would be very interested in buying the German CF package. He loves having to buy doubles & triples of everything when some little nugget of new Foot is released, don'tcha Al?

Ex-Weezer Bass Player Found Dead at Age 40. To young!

Excellent! So... so far (being 2 weeks) there is the normal release, a fan pack, a deluxe pack and 40/100 dollaredoos a year for annual membership to get vip presale shizzle a shirt (that's probably too big) and the cd that you probably already have!

madness!

I'll hold off for the re-release in a few months :)

Happy Monday :D

Captain Video Albany

Looking for 1984 "Joe Satriani" Album with Black and white cover with your name only on it, given to me by you or your student. Dear Joe, I worked at Captain Video Albany 1984-1985. My roommate was one of your students named Ned S. (rymes with ELL ) I don't want to use his real name. Ned was 17 and lived with me and one other in a one bedroom apt. Point is he had no money. You were so cool because you took free video rentals as payment for his guitar lessons.

Funny thing was whenever Ned would come back from one of your lessons, he would go on and on about what a amazing talent you were. We would always say "if he is so talented why is he not famous"! Ned quit taking lessons even though he was very talented and decided he just had to be a bass player. I remember I was the one who told you this. Your reaction was deep thought then "that is really interesting".

Now my question back then your true first album as I understood it was just old time record with just your name on it in black and white block letters. It had a very stripped down sound because I think you used your guitar to make most of the sounds. WELL I was given THAT 33 RECORD AND LOVED IT. I even asked you how you came up with the last song called "Saying Goodbye". You told me you kept thinking of seeing your wife pulling away on a train (right before you fell asleep) and then you dreamt the song and wrote it in the morning.

Since then I still can not find the album even on ebay etc. I wonder do you know of any place I can purchase this piece of musical perfection. All the songs are stuck in my head because it was the soundtrack of my twenty's.

If you can help point me in the proper direction, any help would be very much appreciated.

If not I totally understand you must be crazy busy.

Just to be clear it is not listed on your website as one of your albums.

BTW Ned was a friend of mine, and thanks for being such a great teacher towards him. You were always such a stand up guy. If your having trouble remembering Ned St ( he road a 550 GPZ motorcycle bought on credit, was pasty white, maybe 6'3, great laugh, took himself seriously)

Here is my email in El Cerrito if I can answer any questions. Sincerely, Mark M markmc27@yahoo.com

Nice long interview wtih Joe

Probably one of the most interesting interviews of Joe's I've seen (other than the one by the famous Austin Lewis).

Ooooh Joe and SRV together I had seen the I Believe clip but never knew SRV was on the same show. Nice.

lol jees louise... The thing is... I begin with "A" So I'm always up the top, easy peasy ^

Think what he meant was that doesn't matter what you use to get your sound... Once you're happy, we're allllllllllllllll happy... Which I agree with. Sound is subjective and in this day an age, we don't need old valve amps cranked to 11 to get the classic tones... Yeah you can't beat air and a mic, but it's all good

That's funny. I'm becoming more and more of a Joe fan. He's doing more interviews, and taking us all along on his life's adventure. He's funny, friendly, down to earth, caring, compassionate, humble, super optimistic, genius, and can fucking rock like no other! Yeah, I guess i should dislike him too. Such awful characteristics in a man. I'm outraged!

Watch out for that speed bump.

aww yeah!

Let's dance!

@skippygirl-After watching that interview about the Nascar game I did some research. One guy on Youtube has a bunch of the soundtracks from the game. It's really good "taking a cruise" music. It's like a mini batch of Satch. In my opinion he should take some of the riffs anyway, because Steve Vai did the same with Crossroads and Bad Horsie.

Here's a list for some of the songs: Let's Roll First half closely resembles If I Could Fly

Enter The Zone This one I like. Would be either an opener for an album or a bonus track.

Speed Natives I would have loved the keyboards in one of his songs

Tailgate TimeFeel-good blues at it's finest. Served Satch Style.

Attitude What ever mode he's using, all I have to say, is that this one is freakin' awesome.

Smokin' Joe Combine his '95 album with the Super Colossal album and this is what you get.

Bot Metallic Rez Is There Love In Space? era-ish. Similar to Dog With Crown And Earring, Gnaahh, Up In Flames, kinda mixed together. All good stuff.
