Ive been playing guitar for about 14 years and the reason i started to play was you and steve vai when i first heard surfing with the alien, flying in a blue dream, not of this earth and the extremist along with passion and warefare i knew that i wanted to play guitar ive done an instrumental song called sunrise it is influenced by you and it would be great if you could hear it and for you to give me some feedback on it,i also do ambient music on my computer and i have uploaded some songs on www.soundcloud.com/htw. Skippy...noooo, no CF tix for the San Fran road show. I've spent sooo much money these past few years taking myself and Chris to see Joe, G3, and CF and now must pretend to be responsible and pay off credit cards before any more shows. RESPONSIBILITY SUCKS MONKEY BALLS!!!
Meanwhile, I already had a good pout-face the day tix went on sale, knowing I wasn't going to buy this time. On Nov 1st, day of the actual show...well let me just say...
It's gonna be a terrible, horrible, no-good, very BAD DAY!!! I'll prolly break an arm or a leg tripping over my fat boo-boo lip, LOL!!
I know...wahhh wahhh wahhh....could be so much worse :) I'll get over it...sooner or later, lol! But DAMN I'm gonna miss seeing Joe!!

Hey Joe and everyone at Satriani.com,
I just took some pictures for my band's website. I play a silver Carvin DC135C and in one of the pictures it looks sort of like Joe's "Chrome Boy". That was one of the first things that came into my mind when I saw the picture. Check it out here. Thanks

Nice find Oxley!
Joe, just stoppin in to tell you how much im Enjoying Chickenfoot III.
it took a while, but Im loving it..it really is showcasing the best of all 4 of you...and for the first time in a while, its inspired me to play my guitar as only you and a rare few can do. The vocal harmonies, kick ass Drumming, solid bass lines, great lyrics...and of course, the spin and surprise you decorate the music with is in a league of its own. Thank You! See ya in NY!

& Joe?
Hooker at the grounding.
Chopin at the vertex.
What does this mean? This means keeping all the aspect of scales virtuosity inside the melodical line, & keeping the melodical line in contact with riff. The Joe Substance, marvelous in his last cd.

Mr. Satriani, a project I have to do for my Jazz Ensemble III class is to perform a song that shows your techniques, but the question is, what is your style of playing? On one of my previous posts, I left a URL of my classmates playing at shows. One of the Jazz IV videos, one guitarist actually got a scholarship to Berkley.

Not sure how many here play guitar... and of those who use or own a Whammy pedal... but the latest Whammy DT is a must have. It tracks and sounds better than the latest Version 4, and it offers Drop-tune and Shift-Up options. No more flapping strings as you down-tune to a low C, etc., and the tone remains spot on. Two thumbs up!
