Hey has anyone heard on the next DVD release? I know that Joe played Montreal last year and that show was taped for his next DVD, but when? I heard it was a fantastic show. Can't wait to see the concert in DVD. I saw the show the day before in Toronto and it was excellent.

Thanks

From Kenny Wayne Shepherd (on Facebook):

My dear friend and adopted father, Hubert Sumlin has passed away. I love that man and miss him tremendously. Words cannot describe. Rest in Peace my friend. The world is a better place because of you Hubert.

People here may have seen Hubert play on the 2010 Experience Hendrix tour.

So I got the JS1000 and its not sounding right. I'm gonna take it in and get a tune up, it came with ernieball strings which I have never liked, and since I already bought the pups I am gonna try switching them out. It didn't come with the right whammy bar, doesn't fit right and its a bit too long. But since it was clearance I can't return it so I am really hoping it starts sounding better, maybe I'm just still getting used to it.

This guitar was right off the wall, no case, no manual no toolkit. It was clearance so they just wanted to get rid of it and I was the first one to ask.

I played it in the store, plugged into an expensive Marshall, not in my own little setup. So I didnt know how it would sound at home.

My other Ibanez is a floyd rose trem and it does lock at the head, I dunno about double locking trem...

It sounds good, but not as good as I think its supposed to, at this point I think the 100 sounded better, but that was right out of the box, brand new, never played. this one has been on the wall for at least 5 years being played by random people. Its got the chip in the side to prove it.

When I get a day off I'm gonna go take it to the guitar tech and have it modified to my taste. I would do it myself but at $1100 I can't afford to mess up.

Guitarman- hey i paid $1100.00 for my js1000bp with case brand new and all case candy from a guitar center and got my js1200ca with case and candy a week before for $1150.00 that was almost 7-8yrs ago but ya they sounded like crap when i had a garbage amp but on a better amp they will sound 100% better! In my opinion. Good luck with your guitar man you will like it!! Oh and here in canada ive seen the js1200ca for $2300.00 which i think is crazy!! And the 2400 is $2114.00 is the lowest i could talk em down!!

Hi Joe, my first post :) saw you last year here in my hometown and I was blown away :) I wish I could be in Australia or New Zealand in 2012 but I am a little bit too far away on the other side of the globe :) I am curious about the setlist and hope that there will be a DVD. cheers, Sylvia (Vienna, Austria) P.S. I was afraid someone was going to say that, after spending so much money whats another thousand for a good amp?

there is a satriani 212 combo amp new for $900 and a used for $1300? why would the used cost more?

Someone name a good tube combo amp for under $500, if there is such thing. I want a mini colossal to toy around with. I can only find used ones.

at least my audio interface and recording software got here today, now I can start recording again.

Dear Satch, you have to come back to Edmonton, Alberta Canada for another tour and show! I missed you when you last came. I was sad to not be there to enjoy the show as well as the experience. I know that you are probably on a very busy schedule. However, if it is in your best interest please, come back to Canada again! Thanks for your time.

Best regards,

Adam

What are your thoughts about the MG series. I am reading the reviews and some are saying its a great amp and others say its a waste of money.

I have my eye on a Marshall MG4 Series MG102FX 100W 2x12 Guitar Combo Amp for $399.

any comments on it?
