Having just been to Gary Hoey's HO HO Hoey concert: I have a North American G3 idea... Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Gary Hoey.

Also Joe, have you ever thought about a Christmas, or Christmas oriented album? I think your spin on Chirstmas songs would be fascinating.

$800 +$50 tax + $150 for new pickups, so about $1000.

I was at guitar center and bought a new audio interface and recording software. yay!

and I saw that the JS1000 that I play everytime I go in there went from $1800 to $1100.

The Marshall amp I mentioned earlier was a valvestate, and the Vox was a valvetronix.

Haven't been here in a while, but I figured some people may like this video lesson I did for www.jetcitymusic.com.

It's a Sweep picked Cmaj13#11 arpeggio. I never get tired of Lydian!

Here

I did several licks at the same time when this was filmed, a new lesson will be posted each week. It was an honor to be asked, it's a pretty cool company.

Hey has anyone heard on the next DVD release? I know that Joe played Montreal last year and that show was taped for his next DVD, but when? I heard it was a fantastic show. Can't wait to see the concert in DVD. I saw the show the day before in Toronto and it was excellent.

Thanks

So I got the JS1000 and its not sounding right. I'm gonna take it in and get a tune up, it came with ernieball strings which I have never liked, and since I already bought the pups I am gonna try switching them out. It didn't come with the right whammy bar, doesn't fit right and its a bit too long. But since it was clearance I can't return it so I am really hoping it starts sounding better, maybe I'm just still getting used to it.

This guitar was right off the wall, no case, no manual no toolkit. It was clearance so they just wanted to get rid of it and I was the first one to ask.

I played it in the store, plugged into an expensive Marshall, not in my own little setup. So I didnt know how it would sound at home.

My other Ibanez is a floyd rose trem and it does lock at the head, I dunno about double locking trem...

It sounds good, but not as good as I think its supposed to, at this point I think the 100 sounded better, but that was right out of the box, brand new, never played. this one has been on the wall for at least 5 years being played by random people. Its got the chip in the side to prove it.

When I get a day off I'm gonna go take it to the guitar tech and have it modified to my taste. I would do it myself but at $1100 I can't afford to mess up.

Guitarman- hey i paid $1100.00 for my js1000bp with case brand new and all case candy from a guitar center and got my js1200ca with case and candy a week before for $1150.00 that was almost 7-8yrs ago but ya they sounded like crap when i had a garbage amp but on a better amp they will sound 100% better! In my opinion. Good luck with your guitar man you will like it!! Oh and here in canada ive seen the js1200ca for $2300.00 which i think is crazy!! And the 2400 is $2114.00 is the lowest i could talk em down!!
