After "live in Paris", I'm totally stoked for "Satchurated". It looks extremely well shot, the mix is way better, plus I have a 3D tv to get inside the screen. It's a fun gimmick

Hey Joe!

My name is Ryan and I am from Perth, Australia. Unfortunately for the magnificent city of Perth you guys won't be coming here - So I will be coming to you and flying to Adelaide, South Australia to catch your show at Festival Theatre... I am super excited and have been a fan for many years. I purchased the VIP Platinum ticket and look forward to meeting you for the Q and A!

I remember when I first got introduced to your ultra technical brand of awesome rock music... My best friend Dave was teaching me about guitars and he played two tracks for me and I was hooked ever since!

"The Audience is Listening' by Steve Vai "Surfing with The Alien"

At first I was like this is just ridiculous (in a good way!)... how can a mere human play a guitar like this!?

Over the years as I have listened to your many recordings I have come to the realization that you are not simply just playing a guitar like no one else can - the guitar itself is like a window through to your soul as a vehicle of expression and I think that a lot of people miss the point with guys like yourself and Vai - you guys don't just play guitars fast and shred amazing solos - your an artist and your music is pure emotion!

I am a Private Chef here in Perth and only about 4-5 months ago a bride at a wedding I catered walked down the aisle to 'Always with Me Always with You' and people were like 'What song was that!" and reaching for the Shazam on the Iphone...and so began at least a few more Satch fans like myself...

Anyway Joe, I am sure you have hundreds of these messages to read so I will keep it brief and close by saying:

I REALLY REALLY REALLY hope you play 'Made of Tears'

I would fly all the way from Perth to Adelaide just to hear you play this song even if that was the only song you played in a 10 minute concert - I might even be persuaded to cook for you and your band some time!

See you on April 3rd Joe, I can't wait!

Ryan John

Anybody else think that Joe's drawings would make cool shirts? If his guitar straps sell, his t-shirt drawings would blow off the shelves! Full front designs, pocket designs, sleeve designs - all sorts of weirdy Satch drawing designs! Anybody agree?. Dude could make nice change selling this stuff!

Peace, sorry your dad is having a hard time. That stinks. Best wishes to him. My mom had a hearing test and has moderate to severe hearing loss. Probably the high doses of IV Lasix. She hates not being able to hear! They're trying to get her stronger so she can come home by the end of Feb. All sorts of other crazy stuff going on here.

Cube, that's it? Fess up man!! What? What happens at NAMM stays at NAMM? Spill it!

oxley, love that random Satch song! Thx!

Anybody see this? Does it get more stupid?

Peacey - thanks for the link to the interview. I noted this paragraph:

"That's right. We're looking at doing a full month of domestic touring starting in May. After that, we'll return to Europe to do festivals. I know that they're working on that right this second."

I hope Australia is right after Europe!! We need some FOOT down here.

Let's see, 60 days to G3 yayyyyyy..

Hey Joe. This is Vladimir, 32 y.o. concert pianist from Belgrade, (Serbia). Even though I am in classical music, I was always amazed with you guitar and composing skill. Recently I started to be interested in composing myself, (for piano), not to perform only the music of great composers from the past, as you said once "to try to keep my own individuality". So your music and its freshness, sort of melodic simplicity, (which is good and hard to accomplish), rhythmic variety and varieties of sound and constant research for new sounds, all of this is great inspiration. Truly! I remember once sitting with a jazz trombone player, we were listening "Into the light" and he said: "I loooove music made of two cords and still it sounds so great". Listen, I just saw how many posts you have, so I think I'm gonna stop writing and continue researching. All the best. We expect to see you again in Belgrade.

Gman, I think I posted that vid a while back. Love it! Have you seen Korn's Get Up?

Yes, quality shirts. lol!

Anybody wanna list some of their favorite drum solos? I'm gonna start with the wayback machine and list what hooked me as a wee one.

Iron Butterfly - In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida

Peter Rivera - Rare Earth - Get Ready (uncut version)

Michael Shrieve - Santana - Soul Sacrifice

John Bonham - Led Zeppelin - Bonzo's Montreaux & Moby Dick (pretty much everything from JHB)

Mike Portnoy - are there other instruments actually playing when he drums?

Shannon Larkin/Sully Erna - Godsmack - Drum duel

ahhh, it's late & I can't think...Neil Peart, Mike Wengren, Lars, Billy Cobham, Vinnie Paul, Chad Smith, Peter Chriss...

Happy February!

I forgot I had this - Rodrigo Y Gabriela perform "Stairway to Heaven"
