Cheese- That's awesome!! Such nice people, they are! I'm flying solo this trip, so I'm definitely up for something before the show. I'll leave it up to you locals to provide the recommendation!
Also, any idea on a good, cheap hotel near the venue? I'll give hotels.com a check, but thought maybe you had something in mind. I don't even know how close to Portland you live...

Ian...I had clicked on 4 row B seats where you bought yours and lost em. I was using the IT guys computer at work (cuz I knew his was the best)...it was operator error lol

I could barely hear Joe on the Phone that's why i accidentally cut him off when i asked how are ya buddy and just jumped straight to my question LMAO 40 minutes on my mobile phone for 10 second question the things we do for a minute with Joe :) :) :)

Nah not free from Australia Skippy says at start of call u will be charged normal international rates LOL :) :) all good might have to sleep in a tent in Adelaide now instead of a Hotel :) :) :)

Thanks peeps! My mom was pretty wore out when I talked to her last night. It's going to take her a while to adjust. Taking it day by day and hoping for the best.
Hopefully there will be a Rockline Replay soon.
E.J. - C. O. D. This tune gives me goosebumps every time. I remember the first time I saw EJ. It was in the round at Valley Forge Music Center (near Philly) and he was with G3.I remember the stage going slowly around and thinking they must be getting dizzy by now. lol! What I remember about each band - Eric played like an angel, but kept his head down and stood in one spot the entire time. For Vai's band I remember Mike Mangini's long hair and thinking how amazing it was that I could watch him drum from all angles. When Joe's band played I just kept thinking oh my God I'm so close to JOE SATRIANI and I was so blown away by his playing.
Another thing I remember - the audience was 95% guys, and there was NO line for the ladies room! I actually came out and had to wait for my husband! lol! My how times have changed!
