Joe, really enjoyed Satchurated. Great selection of songs, and the Montreal fans know how to rock. Galen has an awesome guitar collection. Teaming up with Allen and Mike was one of the best moves you've ever made, they looked like they were having the time of their lives. And Jeff was great of course.

Hey all,

Haven't been on TTJ for years, but thought I'd pop in a see what's up. ;-)

@fignewton1, I saw your long post to Joe and felt compelled to write something. It takes a lot of courage to spill your guts online and share some of the best and worst things that have happened in your life. Kudos for that.

Going into a full-time career in music is something like jumping off a cliff into a cloud. You have no idea if you're going to fly, float, or drop like a rock. The unfortunate truth is that the overwhelming majority do the latter. Only a handful of heroes ever become really successful. About 5% to 10% will make a decent living for a while. The rest will struggle or starve. This is the harsh reality of the entertainment industry.

If you do happen to be one of those who fall, you might not know how far you'll fall or what waits for you at the bottom. You can do something about this, though. Make sure you have a solid foundation to fall back on - a career you can ease back into in case your music career never takes off. Nothing wrong with chasing your dreams. Nothing worse than watching your life train wreck if you don't catch that dream.

Best of luck!

Hello everybody. It's been a long time since my last post I wanted to share this video of a great guitar player that many of you probably know and like: Buckethead.

I really love what he does for the same reasons I love Joe's music : Because it's not only a guitar song with some technical diffulcties it's a song full of emotions

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BxpOdMRUcRc

Edit: I don't know why the link doesn't work... Whatever the song is called "NOTTHINGHAM LACE"

Does anyone here own the Rush Time Machine Live in Cleveland 2011 DVD or Blu Ray??

If so, what are your thoughts? The tracklist mostly isn't straight up my alley, but I do like me some Rush; just wondering if the production, etc.. was done well.

Ian

EDIT- If you all haven't noticed, the Satchurated Blu-Ray is available for pre-order from Amazon.com for the same price as the DVD. I don't know if it is the Theater mix or the entire concert, or if it is 3D or 2D, there is absolutely no description about any of the Satchurated products there.

Also, someone asked about the track list for the Satchurated film and soundtrack:

Joe Satriani ‘Satchurated: Live In Montreal’ track list:

Disc One
1. Ice 9
2. Hordes Of Locusts
3. Flying In A Blue Dream
4. Light Years Away
5. Memories
6. War
7. Premonition
8. Satch Boogie
9. Revelation
10. Pyrrhic Victoria
11. Crystal Planet
12. The Mystical Potato Head Groove Thing
13. Dream Song

Disc Two
1. God Is Crying
2. Andalusia
3. Solitude
4. Littleworth Lane
5. Why
6. Wind In The Trees
7. Always With Me, Always With You
8. Big Bad Moon
9. Crowd Chant
10. Summer Song

Bonus Tracks
11. Two Sides To Every Story
12. The Golden Room

Whew, that was a lot of line breaks. In retrospect, should have just posted the link to the page. I read somewhere that the two bonus tracks are from rehearsal before a gig (not sure which one, maybe Montreal?).

Ok, I can't remember who it was that told me to replace the washers on my JS1000's tremolo arm, but whoever it was, thank you! I did it, and it worked like a dream. It now stays where i want it to, and doesn't wobble at all inside the bridge. Thanks!! :-)

Threw together a cheesy slideshow for Light Years Away from Satchurated in case anyone is interested in hearing it again... and again... and again!

Took me like three hours to figure it out as this was my first Youtube video; probably won't do it again for a while either.

Enjoy!

How are you? I'm from Mexico, I would like to know if I can bring your film to my country to exhibit it We are big fans here in Mexico, we love your music and this would be for us, as everything you do, just stunning

The basic idea is bring the film in major cities of the country: Mexico City, Monterrey, Guadalajara, Cancun, Queretaro, etc. we have the necessary logistics to enable the distribution and marketing, plus the thrill for the chance to work on something related to Joe.

Thank you very much.
