The March 2012 Guitar World issue has an interview with Joe, and they confirm that the DVD will be in 3-D on the blue ray version, and 2-D on the regular version. So there u go....oh, and 3-D in the theaters.

Joe also won the readers poll for best shredder, Joe and Sammy 2nd place for best rock guitarists, and Chickenfoot came in third for best rock album. Noice!!

It's a stormy day here today. My mum is coming over for our Sunday afternoon scary movie fest...meanwhile, one of my friends from work, her momma just passed away Friday night. Her children took care of her to the end and went above and beyond to keep her at home till she passed. It's a strange day, a mixture of sadness and pride for my friend, and being greatful I still have my folks for however much longer. I know there are several here in the same boat, with aging parents and health issues. God bless em all!

Love ya Joe, am so happy we have a CF show to look forward to in June :) See ya in Portland!

Now I just need to muster up enough money for a 3D TV and Blu-Ray player - or find someone that has one who is willing to let me come over and use it frequently...

For some odd reason we are only getting $400 back in taxes this year, as opposed to $8,000 last year. Not sure where all that money went, but at least we don't have to pay I guess. I was looking forward to paying off some debt.

Cheese - Thanks for the info. I have the new GW here, but unless I see Joe's name on the cover I never read them. EVH has been on there so many times. He's like Pamela Anderson with Playboy! Enough Already!! And I'll see YOU in Portland. Very much looking forward to the show...

I was just looking at the track list for the Satchurated CD and I noticed that there were quite a few more songs on there than there was shown in the cinema showing of the concert. Does anyone know if the DVD/Blu-ray will feature the entire concert or only the songs that they showed for the cinema cut?

Thanks :)

Hello my dear Teacher. First of all i'd like to thank you for being in this world and for the chance to learn with your music. I'm listening and trying to play your compositions as well. I work in the pop-orchestra and have made a few arrangements of your compositions for my band. Sorry for not asking for your permission but i have set this recording in YOUTUBE. Should i erase that and never do it again or you let me to continue? Thanks anyway. Your student Maxim Momot.

Hi Joe,

I just want to tell you how disappointed I was to miss your show in Ottawa last summer, I drove 9 hours to go see you, darn Cheap Trick stage had to blow off in the wind, crazy weather that day. I heard that you were watching the band on that stage when it happened, were you?... if so I am very happy that you escaped without harm !! Anyhow...I have an unsigned promo photo of you in my studio/music room an beside it I have like 5 signed photos of Steve Vai... is there any chance that I could get that photo signed ???...it would be the highlight of my room. Thanks for the inspiration ! Roger.

Hi Joe, I'm been into your music for long. I want to see you live sometime in relaxing atmosphere with table and chair to sit and not like rock concert. Black Swan was very good album very soothing. I listen to it maybe 100 times in months. I also got marry and my wife like "Cryin" and "Love Thing" She want to learn piano but we have little money now to buy a piano so maybe I'll casio for starting. Keep on guitaring.

Here is some techie info about Satchurated for those interested. It does also confirm that the Blu-Ray will be in 3D with 7.1 Surround.

Also, managed to take a second look at my wife's take on our tax return and bumped it up an extra $8,400. That's pretty dang good considering she only paid $9,000 in the first place and my income is tax-free! Maybe that 3D TV isn't so far fetched after all.....

Aaaaand, while I'm on the topic of buying things, I was thinking about buying one of those handheld digital audio recorders (like the Tascam DR-07 MKII or the Zoom H2n) for recording live gigs that I go to. Anyone have any experience with this, and if so which would you recommend? (Doesn't have to be one of those two) Or is there a different piece of equipment I should be looking at? I read that mini disc recorders were the standard, but I think the key word there is "were". Any input is appreciated!

Thanks Roo- The comments on the H2n looked more positive, and it is $50 more, so I figure you get what you pay for. Dang thing has 5 microphones in it. Think I'll pick one up before the 3 June Portland gig and try it out, then if it doesn't work to my liking I'll just return it.

I have a ton of bootlegs, just wish I knew which ones were recorded with what kind of equipment.

Ian

EDIT- You have a ton of bootlegs, I have maybe about .456 Kg.
