Dear Joe Why on earth did you decide after all these years to get someone on keyboards? I beleive its ruining your true talent and sound PLEASE get rid of it

I would love to hear you do a heavy metal album with all songs being hard rock or even thrash metal

And please no more keyboards

TheHawkGuy- Are you talking about having a custom JS made from the Ibanez custom shop where Joe has his guitars made? Last time I checked, their services are only available to their promoting artists. I'm sure someone else here would know the current situation- CUBE? Besides, if Joe wanted candy corn orange JS2400's floating around in public, there would be more than one in existence, I'm sure. Same applies for the Experience Hendrix guitar...
If you are talking about having a copy made locally, if you could find someone to do it because of the copyright infringement, it would be one of those "don't ask, don't tell" kind of items, ya know what I mean?

I know you can go to the Ibanez forum at Jemsite.com and the Ibanez reps check-in there often. People there have submitted ideas for guitars that have eventually made it into production, so that's worth a shot I guess... If they opened up their custom shop to the public, they would probably make enough $$ to justify it, but then Joe wouldn't have creative control over the JS line as I figure he wants to maintain. Speaking of which, it's about time for a new JS series guitar....

Hey Joe

Wolffe here from New Zealand! I've been a fan for over 20 years, and I'm coming to the Wellington gig on Saturday. I'm flying up from Christchurch. All the VIP tickets were sold out but I wondered if I could get a photo taken with you cos you guys are the best. It would make a nice change from all the rocking and rolling in Christchurch ha ha ha. I've seen you in Glasgow a few years ago now. It was a brilliant gig. Can't wait to see you guys!

Cheers, Wolffe PS would you ever cover Lila's Dance by Mahavishnu Orchestra cos I think that would be awesome.

Cheeso - Mr Skip and his buddies do the Round The Bay ride every year, that's 250km. Most weekends they would do 50km on Saturday morning and 100+km on Sunday mornings. Best of luck to Chris.

Joe - can you play Leaving On a Jet Plane?

You can tell I had some time to kill today - crank up the LOAJP and sing along everyone:

All my bags are packed
Black T shirts ready to go
I'm standin' here outside my door
I love it when I’m just about to fly
But the dawn is breakin'
It's early morn
The taxi's waitin'
He's blowin' his horn
Already I'm so excited
I could die

So kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that you'll be at G3
Rock out like you'll never let me go
Cause I'm leavin' on a jet plane
With Steve and Steve I'll see Skippy again
Oh babe, I love a show!

There's so many times I've played the clown
So many times I've played around town
I tell you now, those shows mean everything
Ev'ry place I go, I'll think of you
Ev'ry song I sing, I'll sing for you
When I come back, I'll bring Jeff and Galen too

So kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that you'll be at G3
Wave to me like you'll never let me go
Cause I'm leavin' on a jet plane
Rockin out with Skippy again
Oh babe, I love an Aussie show

Now the time has come to play for you
One more time
Let me rock you
Then close your eyes
I'll be on my way
Dream about the gigs to come
When I won't have to leave so soon
And I can stay and play until I’m old and grey

Oh, kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that you'll be at G3
Shout to me like you'll never let me go
Cause I'm leavin' on a jet plane
Killing it with the Aussies again
Oh babe, I love a show

Yeah, I'm leavin' on a jet plane
Gonna rock in Australia again
Oh babe, I love a show!

Hehe, chances of including that one in the setlist?

Please resume normal transmission

marktaylor, sorry you're having such a hard time. Take care of your kids. They are the future. I hope you figure things out. I have no advice. My cup is full over here trying to sort my own. Good luck & don't give up.

roger777, if you go to page 10 of his messages, you'll see that Joe's last post was last month.

The Ageing Of A Rock Star

Some of the older faces look better than the younger ones! Cool to see. Joe's pic isn't there, but I think he looks better now than when he was younger.

My faves are Robert Plant & Steven Tyler. They gave us sooo much...

Hi, I am coming from Spain to the Marshall's 50th Anniversary gig at Wembley Arena in September. I'm a huge fan of Joe Satriani (he's had a huge influence on me) and I'm basically going to London just to see him.

Would it be possible to meet Satch backstage at some point just for five minutes? Maybe I could teach him something!!!!!! Looking forward to your reply

Cheers, Louis

After I emailed D&E on Saturday about film posters, I received the following reply today:
Hi Ian,

You can now purchase the poster using the link below to D&E's online store.

http://www.dandeentertainment.com/store/official-joe-satriani-satchurated-in-3d-film-poster/

Let me know if you have any questions and thanks for reaching out.

Best, Jonathan Chaupin Director of Film Marketing & Distribution www.DandEentertainment.com

You can now purchase the OFFICIAL Joe Satriani Satchurated film poster from the D&E store for US $19.99. It doesn't say whether or not they ship overseas... I had trouble adding one to my cart from both Firefox and Chrome, so I ended up buying it from my phone...

Guitarman77897 - Signal based effects up front (Wah, OD...) Time based effects in the loop (delay, reverb, chorus, phaser, flanger, envelope filters). That's the "normal" way however do some experimenting. My set up is GTR -> WAH -> Mesa MKIV -> FX out -> Digitech 2120 -> FX in -> Cab so all my effects except the wah are in the loop.
