I don't want to gush about how much Joe's music and his guitar playing mean to me, as I've attached so much private meaning to so many of his compositions. When my wife was dying of cancer, "Love Thing" became something that was a balm to my heart and soul, and, seven years after she's gone, it still is.

What I want so badly is for Joe to get the recognition he deserves. While the people that gravitate here know the blessed magic that lies in Joe's music, it eludes, for crass commercial reasons, the masses. His Chickenfoot endeavor is a move in the right direction, but he's tied up with the wrong people. Sammy Hagar is a wonderful stadium-rocker, but he drags Joe down. Joe's music is miles above the well-intended but crude approach of Sammy.

Who knows Paul Carrack? Been around for ages, and, in an ironic way, is sort of like Joe: better than anyone in his class--singing, songwriting, piano playing--but beautiful, melodious, Would love to see Joe and Paul Carrack get together and form the band that Joe desrves to lead. Paul Carrack too.

Thanks,

Nick

In college and already a Ron Paul fan...the boy is wise beyond his years...obviously he ignored you just enough :?P

BTW, you do realize that you owe Monty Python, LLP .03 pounds sterling for your use of that phrase, right? You could pay it off in SPAM

Danny, did you buy me tickets for my birthday?

cuth, my son has been a Ron Paul fan for a few years. He's his own man. He's into different political ideals, likes Buddhism & meditation, likes reading books by Thich Nhat Hanh, he likes to dj & mix & make dubstep music - the only thing he's not allowed to be is Republican. LOL!

Oh intercourse the penguin!

Back in the day a friend of ours would shout that every time he got drunk enough and was losing an argument. Good stuff that MP is.

I'd like to take a small bita space and wish my little mum a happy 79th birthday today. I really miss her.

Hi, Joe ! =) I apologize for my bad English, I live in Russia, in St. Petersburg. Last year, you were giving a concert in our town. I want to express many thanks for the great music and the opportunity to enjoy live !!! I have a couple of questions. 1. I bought the guitar pedals VOX (satchurator, timemachine and bigbadwah). In my opinion, wah-wah strong cuts mids. What advise as EQ and would it be right to include one equalizer before and one after ? 2.Sorry, if the question tactless, where you can buy high-quality backing tracks for your songs ? Thank you, best regards, Alex.=)

chelle: I hate to break it to you, but Ron has had an 'R' next to his name for the vast majority of his political life. He tried "L" in '88, but concluded that the 3rd party route was not the way for him to have a positive impact.

Currently, the GOP platform draft includes two of Ron's great ideas regarding auditing the Fed and investigating a return to the gold standard.

His presence in the House will be sorely missed.

cuth, re: my son - I meant jokingly more in a "thinking Rep." way. Ron Paul is a funny little fella. He's a pistol for being 77 years old. Gotta give him that. My son is a big boy now. Mama can't tell him what to do to much anymore. It's his path, not mine.

Has anyone seen this yet? Return to Forever: Inside the Music? I bought it for my hubs birthday, and I was watching it this morning. Good stuff. Love hearing people explain how they create their music and the stories behind it.

Weiner was in Washington with Abe Lincoln. That's all I know :-)

Just seen a bita weather news. My thoughts and prayers are with those in the path of Isaac. My advice is to GTFO, and don't wait till it's up on ya to do it! Just because you put boards over your windows doesn't mean yer roof won't blow off. Scary stuff!

In other very important news, I'm out of Jagermeister.

Read today that they're going to stop playing Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond at the Penn State football games. The asked for suggestions of what songs to rotate onto the playlist. Someone suggested this. The situation isn't funny, but the song suggestion really is.

Ahh, crisis averted!. Peach Paterno ice cream from the Berkey Creamery at Penn State, and Jagermeister to kick it off! That makes for one happy camper!

Here;s a lovely bita Vai and band from last week. Love the interaction with Weiner & Bynoe, but whats the girlie got going on there?

My absolute favorite balls out song from the new cd - Steve Vai & Beverly McClellan-John the Revelator. Man I f'n love that shit!

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

Post 8000! I remember when all this was fields...

edit: thought this was funny - from Stephen Colbert's twitter

@StephenAtHome

Mitt Romney has won the GOP nomination! So inspiring. The man overcame crushing privilege to make it here.

Hello Mr. Satriani. Big fan of your music and sound. I know that you are the real Maestro of all times on the earth. I can not believe it yet that i'm stand in front of the stage on G3 concert in Amsterdam on July 2012 when you and mr. Vai, played the best songs with the best, clearest and loudest sound i have ever heard in my life. Wish i listen to you on a wide open area, not in an arena. How ever i am really honored and feel most lucky that i got the chance and visited beyond this universe with your sound. 1000 thanks. Hope you don't get angry on me when i wrote these lines. One thing is missing with almost all artists and performers and thats: they don't care about how they look on the stage. If you got the best sound in the world then you have to look like a million bucks on any stage as well. Especially for people who bye a DVD. You know, the stages are often dark with black colors and the artists always wares the dark and black clothes. I don't know why? Why use black t-shirts and dark clothes when you got the most beautiful colors like purple, yellow, orange, pink or light reflex colors with 70s fashion clothes... Believe me, You with your sound and those colors and outfits , the impression would be huge on everybody specially people at home. The next thing: in my opinion your best song ever is wormhole wizards and i miss it really on Sutchurated. The best 3D DVD without that song? How is it possible? Pleeeeese put that song on your next DVD (whithout that pianoplaying in the middle of the song). By the way it would be more great if that song called Sutch a light speed or something like that, cause the sound of that song takes me to the speed of light. Once Again Mr. Satriani Please don't get mad on me cause i wrote those lines, I Really love your sound and exactly the way you think when you compose a song. No one has ever composed a song like you did specially in wormhole wizards, Crystal planet(with brilliant ending), premonition (with most brilliant ending i have ever heard), Andalusia makes all flamenco Maestros vanish and..... I wish You Well and hoping and looking forward to see You, live again SOON. Please put the wormhole wizards on your set list where ever you play. The only person who could ever match your sound on piano was the late Jon Lord. Sincerely Yours, Arna

Hi Joe my name is Pawel(Paul)I am from Poland and 28yrs old I live in London since 2004 that is when I first heard you from the guy on the bus I remember he said to me "listen to this" That kicked my head so hard it blew me away and it was only a "circle" song I start playing at 13 but it was only a simple playing learning maybe 1 2 songs and geting to the soloing(no chance)bit to much for me back then, It actualy hapend with you couse you start them usually slow progresing to this massive solo and again (where is this came from)so it took me many years to learn how to improvise I could not afford to go to college so I learn in every other way mostly by buing Guitar Mag as they have cd/s with backing track so I could try my ways rather than theirs sad but true had to I know you playing now in the band and I was wandering if there is any chance to have go with you or you know any body here in London that needs guitarist Thanks for reading this through. beatarabka@yahoo.com or (044) 07762573116

Interesting ~

The PolitiFact site shows that when it comes to Obama's statements by ruling, if you add the mostly false, false, and pants on fire categories, he's at 27%.

If you add Romney's statements by ruling in the mostly false, false, and pants on fire categories, he's at 43%. 9% of that is pant on fire lies..I mean statements, as opposed to Obama's 1% p.o.f. statements.

Here's a page worth looking at.

And now...WE DANCE!!
