Hi, Joe, Hope all is well with you and your family. My boyfriend, Jeremy, is one of your biggest fans - though I guess literally that might be pushing it, since I'm sure all of your fans would claim to be your "biggest fan." I'm using his fan account right now to write this, and he has no idea, but I wanted to let you know what an impact you have had on him as a musician. He can listen to you for hours on end, and play along, and sometimes, honestly, I can't tell when it is him playing or him listening to you (which really thrills him no end). He loves Chickenfoot as well, as could understandably be expected, and even our dog is named Joe in your honor (I hope you are not offended, our Joe is the COOLEST dog ever in the world, and even he seems to love chillin to your music). I know you are busy beyond belief, but it would mean the world to Jeremy if you ever had the time to drop him some kind of personal note. If you are ever inclined, you can listen to some of Jeremy's personal creations on youtube, just type in Jeremy Cook and War. I know it is a long shot, but my philosophy in life is that you never know unless you ask, so here it is. I don't know the protocol for leaving emails on this site, so please forgive me if this is out of line, but if you ever have the time and/or inclination, Jeremy would get the biggest kick out of hearing from you: planetsatch@yahoo.com. By the way, I am also a huge fan; "always with you, always with me" is my all time fav song of yours, especally the "extended" version where you really go off with the guitar. It is so soulful and beautiful. We also LOVE that you are such a sci fi fan, a genre we also find quite enjoyable. Best wishes to you and yours always, M.C.

Long time..

I just upgraded a 80's Vantage guitar with P90.

Here some pics

& here a small microcube demo.

So now, i get something like a 50's P90 guitar. Still have to practice it onto a more serious amp.

Same Vantage demo, but a few more serious

My conclusion : to control the musicality of P90 SD is far to be easy.

So, let's go to work it.

Hi Joe, I'm a French fan of your music, and a young guitar player (for 5 years). I started playing guitar after listening to the album "Flying In A Blue Dream". That was a real revelation to me. I find your music so inspired, so deep, I think it's just "real" music, a music composed with the soul, and for souls. It's really what I feel about your music. I will see the G3 show at St-Julien-En-Genevois, FR, on July the 28th, can't wait! I already dream that you and the Steves could sign my guitar... That would be a great honnor. Maybe? Whatever, see you there, Satch, and go on rockin like you do, I thinks it's not just a question of music, it's a question of soul, and you seem to have a great one. Great thanks for all you're giving to me, and please, never stop to make us fly! Geoffrey, from France

I had a dream to play guitar with you ... I made a few songs but only two songs that currently exists on my blog ... www.rocklinker.blogspot.com Both songs are just acoustic guitar that uses a two-handed tapping tendencies and both songs are inspired by the song "circle" ... If you take the time to look at my blog and if you like my songs ... I'll give you a free ... and I made some basic lessons in my blog and please be corrected... Thank you for the time given Regards, Rockazz

Nice find CyberJohn!

Is anyone following this story -

New Footage Of Randy Blythe Incident Surfaces Showing Security Assaulting Fan In Question

Singer Randy Blythe of Lamb of God was jailed in Prague with some serious bail for allegedly throwing a repeated stage diving fan off the stage. The fan died of his injuries 2 weeks later. This happened in 2010, but the Czech gov't. did/said nothing until now when the band toured there again.

It looks to me like the security there wasn't playing, and took these shenanigans seriously. In the vids I've seen, it's security giving the hard blows, and the singer giving a one hand push to let the kid know his time was up. I really hate that the kid died, but when you stage dive at any gig, you take your chances of serious injury - or - seriously injuring the people you land on! IMO, I don't think the singer or the band should be held responsible, and the security team that was there that night should be looked at a bit more closely.

Imagine going on tour and having foreign police come to your door and say you're under arrest for murder from a gig in 2010, and take your ass to prison!! That's effed up!

Any of you folks have any thoughts on this?

Yes I have Michell. And we've had some good discussions about it. General consensus is that it BULLSHIT! End of story. If you rush the stage you are risking injury. I think it's a money issue.

Well, that sucks! ~~

The ongoing legal saga of Lamb of God frontman Randy Blythe had an important development today (July 3); he made bail. Blythe posted the approximately $200,000 bail in Prague, but remains in Czech custody due to statutory deadlines and holidays.

Blythe was arrested at the Prague airport last week in connection with a 2010 incident at a Lamb of God concert where there was an alleged altercation, with the end result being a fan suffered a brain injury and later died. Video that is purportedly from that show has surfaced. Blythe has not been officially charged, but could face up to 10 years in prison if convicted of manslaughter.

So why is Blythe still incarcerated after posting bail? According to Blabbermouth, Prague district 8 court Judge Petr Fassati says prosecutors have three days to decide whether to approve Blythe’s release. And since Thursday and Friday are Czech holidays, the deadline is Monday, July 9. And if the prosecutor approves the release, the court has another three days to provide an official comment. There is also the possibility that the prosecutor and court could oppose Blythe’s release, meaning the bail could be canceled.

There are still a lot of legal issues to play out, and in the meantime Blythe remains in jail. No matter what the outcome, this incident could have wide-ranging implications when it comes to stage security issues. As I Lay Dying drummer Jordan Mancino told us, “I think it’s one of those things, especially at metal shows and heavy music shows, it’s something that I think the crowd comes to expect. It’s intense music and fans want to get involved because they feel that intensity. And I think a lot of it comes down to venues and security preparation to make sure that the crowd is safe and the band is safe.”

The metal community has rallied behind Blythe since his arrest, with many tweeting messages of support. However, GWAR frontman Oderus Urungus is criticizing the mainstream media for not paying more attention to the case.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That's because mainstream media is busy with their political circlejerk at the moment.
