Dave, yep, agree to disagree. Votes here in America are bought and paid for by corporations and entities like the NRA. Money equals power. Everyone is aware of that fact, and it happens no matter what side of the fence you're on.
The thing that bothers me is that a person can buy 3000 rounds of ammo online, and no red flag. You can pretty much buy whatever you want, from one source or another, and go undetected, no questions asked. You can build yourself an arsenal. You can buy Kevlar protection head to toe. No questions. Helmet. Gas mask. No questions. Bomb making material. No problem. After all, it's your right as an American.
How many stories have you or anyone you know read where a citizen had to use a semi-automatic rifle to protect themselves from a home intruder or a mugger on the street? How many bullets does it take to drop a dear or whatever animal you're hunting for food? One, maybe two. They can be dropped by a sharp stick with a point on it! No need for automatics there.
I believe people are more in love with their entitlement than with what's right or better for society as a whole. As long as it's somebody else getting slaughtered, it's not your problem.
Keep those guns ready for that imagined Armageddon they keep filling people's heads with. When the day comes where you have to be in a MILITIA to live and survive in America, I'm the hell outta here.
People need to feel powerful by owning and shooting semi-automatics. Just like driving big trucks or fancy cars or designer clothes. It's ego. Entitlement. Fear. It's a sad state of mind IMO.
Isn't there some sort of middle ground between balls out owning an arsenal, and banning all guns? Gun lovers see it as such a threat. As such a crushing blow to an outdated document. Funny how when people follow the bible to the T, we call them freaks and say that book isn't with the times and needs to be updated - and that supposedly came from GOD! So a document written in 1700's by a bunch of guys in pantaloons and wigs is supposed to be solid gold and still fit into today's standards??

Michelle, the constitution is up to date. it has been amended 27 times, the most recently in 1992. the second amendment is not about the right to sporting arms, it is about the right of military arms. the supreme court has decided that the second amendment applies to military style weapons and it is an individual right. the only way to change it is by amendment. those guys in pantaloons were the founding fathers and they were a pretty smart bunch of guys. not perfect, but that is why they made a way to update the document as needed.

there have been lots of incidences of self defense with firearms. probably many more with handguns than long guns. there are legitimate uses of all these guns.

i think you could substitute the word 'taxed' for slaughtered to make that a correct statement.
i get the feeling i will never change your mind but i urge you to read the constitution and some of the writings our founders left about it. maybe look at the NRA website to see what they are all about. anyway, this is not really the forum for this type of discussion.

Dave, you're a champ. We agree to disagree. It's not the right to own a gun that bothers me, it's more a semi-automatic issue. They're just not necessary in today's civilian society. You won't change my mind, and I won't change yours, but thanks for having a decent discussion about it with me. I'm gonna read the Constitution and check out the NRA right after I send Karl Rove and Rush Limbaugh love letters. LOL!
Anyways, it's time to end it. I totally disagree with you, but you're a cool guy anyways...even though you're wrong. LMAO!!

All I know is that I'm gonna stock up on hi-capacity magazines while I still can! I can definitely see them reinstating the "no more than 10 rounds per mag" rule again. Matter of fact, I think I'll go to Cabela's right now..

hello! been doing good man doing things again. this was pretty cool man I had some extra cash hey man and I was doing some rideing so I colllected food right in big garbage bags I droppped it all off at the food bank then sent my mom to pick it up couple days after arrangedher ride for the grocerys they got a sweet deal I give em at the food bank something for doing it I brought them a bag of ground roast man like hamburger except it was ground roast everyone gets one were good.Man i was extremely hungry hey for some reason rideing or something man this is even eating 3 meals a day and suppper offa plattter evrey night,man hey joe still hunrgry.Had to um get some villagaio italina bread man big loaves from canada bread one white one 100% whole weat and did this rideing buying thingsin my travels dont know man why im so hungry man weird hey eat meat every night man porkchops roast beef fish chciken breast and legs offa platter still hungry man so i colllected 8 bags of food for the foodbankI was in British colombia on the atk 406 man after bob andd tOm paid man i went out their all the other stuff that their is for some buddies and kids or realtives of peole who work their I just told them to give me 80 bucks worth of the 700 bucks worth of stuff I bought i set my stuff asside for my mom to pick up Im trying ground roast mangab my body double for my rambo movies said try ground roast beef man so i am gabe is who you think is sylvester stallone we talked aftre saged died his son theirs no problem with him doubleing for my rambo movies he said he like it alot! hes pretty big man he said it starting again want to get big try ground roast so i give the foodbank 97 packs of ground roast maybe it was 300 pounds i think i have adaughter in b.c. i stay with shes in the police department out their rebbbca difertent rebcca then the one i mentioned visited an old girlfeiredn out their to Helen give her her cash bob paid me 1200.00 cash toe paid me 700.00 again so i went on litttle holiday pluas i had 3600 saved so were good thats all just walked to town been useing my pioneer bonus bucks card theirs cash on it 10.63 can be used im just collecting on it again building her up will talk later have a good one wolf2 the colard thing is nuts we just had a smiliar thing in toronto later wolfie2.

On your last european tour 2010 i missed your concerts in Copenhagen and Malmoe so i had to drive all the way to Holland to see you play !

Hi folks, just got back from South Korea.
The big C continues it's relentless attacks, this time on my 16 year old nephew FFS! Hello ,were here were where Inside the Box!! Not too much going on just checked my mail 2 sports illustradteds their and my new series of heart appointments are here dissabilty wasnot their yet ! 31 days to the month so probably on mondayy the statement will be here. checked my moms mail had to pick up two prescriptions for myself one Lipitor for cholesterol and On apsriprin bloodthinnner to prvenet clogged aretries and blood clots for my heart the lipitor controls the cholesterol as well so I dont have a heart attck right man so were good.ITs busy here in town cooling off a tad all this weeks been around around 25 degrees celsius the week before it was 36 dgerees celsius here in apsley everything is going good man i think the blood thinnner thinnned up my clots oin my arteries man i had some clottting hey were fgoood now though hit the native reserves again paid the 60 bucks for the ride bought 15 ultra light cartons at 16 bucks a bag were good seriously though I do ssell them their tobbbacco and logging isnt illlegal nor is the amount of money you can have from it been working mostly for myself doing some automotive things mufflers etc doing some construction diggging some chainsaw operating did some rideing the 406 man i had to buy a new rear shock hey The last time i was out well monday it was not the last time ,anyways comeing back my rear shock blew man the whitepower made in holland unit i didnot think i would make it home so I decided to ride to cycle salvage for help took away that was easy on the shock easy terrain made it their knew they wouldnt have one but figured ride home in th truck with my bike whatever .Went out in the yard with all the old bike their was this frame man some custom frame it had a brand new white power rear shock on it same thing man 4681 suer adjuster i took it off went outside my shock broke right apart unboletd it boletd on the new one they chraged me 75.00 cash man no tak been working beautiful originallly when I built the bike back in 1990 the shcock was 4,500 i think so 75 22 years later for brand new is bonus this frame this shock was on was not even used someone tried to build something so were good rode home thats all anyways takeing all the mail home have a mr big and wunderbar choclate bar from the drugstore to eat when I go home talk to you later wolf2.
