Hi Mr. Satriani,
I'm from Belgrade, Serbia, and I enjoy your music since my childhood's days. Your songs brought me through the ups and downs as real "Chords of my Life" - from "Crushes of Love" to "Jupiter on my Mind" days. The most of my exams on University I prepared listening to your music and each my love I spiced with your songs. I was on many concerts, but your concert from summer 2006 in Belgrade's "Sava Centar" is certainly the favorite one to me (yeah, I was that one guy that you pointed your finger on and smile, when I just went crazy on your "Surfing with the Alien" performance :))).
However, there's one of your songs that I would so love to hear "live" and maybe I'm asking too much, but is it possible for you to play "The Forgotten" on your concert here in Belgrade on May 24? :) That song means so much to me and I would be so happy if I could here it on your concert... but, that's just my wish. :)
anyway...
Thank you for the great music you create - it really makes this world the better and happier place to be!
Cheers,
Alex

Just booked my tickets to the 02 Shepherds Bush show in the UK on 17 June. Flying all the way from Cyprus.
First Satriani concert. Been waiting since I bought my first album on tape - Surfing with The Alien, way back in '87.

1st Concert in Istanbul very good, love Minneman/Beller, even old song like Rubina sounds as new. That different band was needed. Creative blood, a fresh wind for 'the greatest hits.'

Love seeing the tour vids. The new music sounds wonderful. As somebody said, even the older songs sound somewhat new. It was nice to hear SWTA again too.
I have a feeling that, as the tour progresses, we will gradually see the length of each song increase, and, therefore, the number of songs on the setlist decrease. Hopefully I am wrong, but that is what happened last tour.

Hey all! New to the forums! I've listened to Joe's music with my dad since I was little, but I have never really listened until now. I can't believe what I had been missing!
Anyways, my dad is a HUGE fan and we were blessed to have Mr. Joe Satriani come down to Texas about an hr from where we live. Not only did we buy tickets but my husband got my dad a Meet & Greet pass for Sept. 5! This is my dad's idol and as you can imagine my dad has been walking on clouds ever since he found out! :)
Just wanted to share our story with you guys! & hear your stories about past meet and greets. My dad's never done one before so we'd like as much info you guys can spare!
Thanks!

Alyssa, welcome to T2J and the party :) Joe is the most awesome person ever, your dad is gonna be higher than cloud 9 after meeting him in person. Make sure he takes something portable but meaningful with him for Joe to sign...it's going to be an experience he'll never ever forget! Joe will sign just about anything, LOL!
I'm sort of assuming he'll get to go to the meet and greet before the show? He should try to think of a burning question he wants to ask Joe, in case he gets a chance to actually ask it. And be sure he takes a camera for pics, I think they may still take one official picture and will email that to him later...that's what they used to do, not sure if they still do or not. But meanwhile with his own camera he can take a pic with Joe, the person in charge of the meet and greets will take the picture for him. It used to be Lindsey...we'll have to wait and see if she goes out on tour with them again.
I think they also get to wander around the stage set up a bit too, in case he's a gear-hound :D And those folks get to go into the venue early, which is really good if it's General Admission. He'll be right at the stage in that case. If seated, he'll just get to his seat sooner than those that didn't do Platinums or VIP tix. He should get an email a few days before the show with instructions about where to meet and what time, since he needs to be there early to meet with Joe.
I tell ya...there's just nothing like talking to Joe. He's the best!! And has a great sense of humor. I hope your dad isn't so nervous he can't remember what happens, LOL!! Good luck to him, and to you and your hubby, seeing him play live will blow you away! Be sure and come back here and post about the experience!

My UM bundle came today!
I love the Joe's Art book. I have a small collection of street artwork and this fits in beautifully. The poster is a perfect fit too. I'm going to frame it.
Austin - I have no idea what number book it is - it could be 50, 51 or 57. I think it is 50 because the 'o' in 'of' is the same shape as are the zeroes in the 300. How cool would that be if it's 50 cos I am 50 in October????
The T shirt is big, and it's a men's anyway so Mr. Skip has scored that.
Hot and sweaty in Zagreb apparently but a great show according to a tweet I had from Bryan Beller.
And Mike K said he would like to bring the show to Australia so fingers crossed.

The more I listen to Unstoppable Momentum the better it gets.
Think I 've heard the album 50 times now and yes the comparison to Sgt Peppers is a valid act of reasoning. No need here to explain the music but the mixing, the play list and the songs of course it all blends lovely. The rejoice really shines through. Critics might claim that if you've heard one Satch album you've heard them all. Well, style is a personal issue I guess but rejuvenating the peripherals and polishing the core over and over that is a virtue only the great expose. Disbelievers better get used to the words MAESTRO GIUSEPPE SATRIANI (all completed with Satch opus numbers after a while).
