Freddy, I thought I saw a post that said you guys were in Boise last week, but I couldn't remember. I have been meaning to ask how your wife has been? I see that you are also going to the Salem show. I am waiting for 10:00 to roll around so that I can purchase a ticket and get on with my day. Actually, I am assuming that they mean 10:00 Pacific, which would make it 11:00 here. I am debating whether or not I should go to the Spokane show in addition to Salem. I would love to see Joe twice again this tour, but money is a little more hard to come by these days.

Glad to hear from you!

Ian

Enjoy Salem peeps. Our business is struggling atm... Can't justify fun stuff when I owe so much money to others. Business is so cut-throat these days . We've been awarded bids and had them "shopped" right from under us. Its illegal but creating waves is also bad for business. ANyhoo nuff about me. Hope ya all get the seats you are dreaming of. :-)

Hey Civigeek

I know you haven't been too stoked for his CF stuff but I really think the last 2 albums have been amazing. This one especially has tons of emotion and soul.... Three Sheets is over the top fun and different.

Give it a listen tho I know your busy with your own stuff... Don't think you'll be disappointed!

Later!

Fireman - Yea I must be getting harder in my old age. I think a lot has to do with tempo. It may not be true but it seems like tall the songs lately are at the same tempo and have the same drum beat. Kinda the same reason I can only listen to Reggae so so long. Like and unresolved chord I keep waiting for something to grab me. Dunno. It's cool Joe is playing Salem. I was curious where cause there isn't much in that town for venues. BTW we'll be in Tangent in June 1st and in Redmond Sept 14th. If you can make either of those it would be good to see you.

The following is from a review of UM.

Satriani’s strength has always been his sharp musical sense. Even though he has chops to spare, he doesn’t come from the look-at-me-play-fast school of guitar wankery. What sets him apart from so many of his contemporaries is that his playing almost always serves the songs; they’re not just vehicles for his instrumental grandstanding.

Ryan, Joe is always very gracious when gifts are given to him :) Just try to be mindful that there isn't much room for stuff on the tour bus, so maybe don't give him anything gigantic, LOL!! See you in Salem, a bunch of us from here will be there too!!

Hi everyone...it's been a busy few days, so I'm only just now able to post and say that I finally got my big ultimate music bundle in the mail.

I really like the CD artwork (and the CD itself...very ORANGE)...I think it all looks great, considering how little space there is with this release.

The art book is very nice as well. I either have copy 15, 25, or 75...I can't quite tell (I can read Joe's handwriting just fine, but I don't see him write numbers too often). If anyone else out there has a book with a 1, 2, or 7 in the number, can you take a picture of it so I can compare? Haha...

Pip55 - I owe you an email, but I wanted to let you know that I did get something in the mail from you...thanks! :-)
turbo236 - It's good to hear from you, Ian. And I'm sorry to hear about your divorce...I met your wife in Reno (like Tracie said), and I hope things work out for the best, whatever that may be...
campbell - Great to hear that you'll be at the Orpheum gig...it'd be great to meet up with you, so please send me an email before you head out here.

...Austin...

Austin - it will no doubt be a long wait for the donkey to walk all the way to Australia with my UM bundle. I wonder which number my book is? I could go to the local music store and buy the CD too but will wait for my bundley one to arrive.

Happy Friday everyone, and to everyone going to the Istanbul show have a fabulous time and please tell us all about it.

Austin- Thanks. Good to hear from you too. I won't bore everyone to death with the details of a divorce, but I think everything will work out just fine. Maybe she will even come to a show with me every now and then. Even though I only purchased one ticket for Salem and one for Spokane. Not sure how I'm going to pull that off just yet. I purchased the tickets without checking the dates of the shows first.

Anyway, my seats.
Salem: Level MAIN Section LFT Row B Seat 1
Spokane: Level ORCH Section CNTR Row D Seat 22

I'm pretty happy with the way they turned out. Now, like I said, I just gotta figure out some travel arrangements as well as how to pay for it all. Probably just do a multi-city round trip on Southwest Airlines.

Anyone here going to the Spokane show as well???

Ian
