Dear Dad, you realise you've mucked up on being the oldest Satch fan ever? Tsk tsk... christmas day with you was odd this year, but I did my best

Dear M, C101, PL, Skip and all - thanks for your efforts on christmas day, really touching, really really touching xx

Peace, keep up the drunken posts :-)

Guys, what shall I do with my Satch tickets for my pop? Do I, keep a seat empty for him on every show, or do I invite someone else along to share in Joe (knowing pop should be there), or just give the tickets away? I'm thinking I keep em empty, but I have plenty of time to work it out and maybe the answer will leap forward, but just thinking out loud...

Cheers all

Pippy, I think yer dad would want you to carry on and enjoy Joe like always. If you have a mate (or date) who would like to go in your dads place, I bet that would make your dad smile. He wouldn't want you to leave an empty memory where he was. You should fill that spot with joy and carry yer dad with you in spirit. I know it's hard hon, very hard, but it's the circle. We all have to leave here at some point, and the rest have to carry on. Imagine what you would wish for your own son, and what your dad would wish for you. They want the best for us, and we must continue to live life and make them proud. We must make new memories, and keep old ones near and dear to our hearts.

I know you have many emotions and you're probably still in a shock/daze fuzzy state of mind. Try not to make to many decisions. You have a good 6 months before Joe comes to town. That gives you about 5 months to think about it if yer already holding 2 tickets. No need to sweat it just yet. It'll come to you at some point.

It's going on almost 9 months for me, and i still find myself in various stages of wtf. Time heals bruv. Lots of time.

Hope everyone is having a good holiday season.

Just an FYI Stu has cancelled his dates here in OR and WA. :( But I have been informed that the local bands will still be playing with a couple more to be added. So if you're in the Portland OR area Jan 11th would be great to see you.

Happy New Year's Everyone!!

aww, dats poop civ, but you'll have a great time playing anyways!

CHECK THIS OUT! Led Zeppelin Honored At The 35th Annual Kennedy Center Honors (12-26-12) . It kicks in after a minute or 2. It brings tears to my eyes by the time it gets to the end every time I watch it.

Best band ever.

Let's not forget - the one - the only - Buddy Guy! Saw him live 2x. He blew us away!

Chelly, such wise words honey, words to live by. I agree with everything you said :)

Pip, mentally cut and paste what chelle said here for me too, lol! Can't say it any better than that. Take your sweet momma to the show and if you happen to do aftershow or have passes, don't be afraid, let her give Joe a big ole' buss on the cheek. I betcha he won't mind and would wonder why not if she doesn't, lol! As to the extra seat...you'll figger it out by then. I keep sending you and momma mental hugs every day and hope you are both coping okay.

We managed Christmas here, everyone put on a good face and made the day nice for everyone else. But of course there was a huge hole where my poppa used to be. I had moments of complete breakdown but tried my best to keep it to myself. We all felt his loss keenly. But you do go on.

Much love to everyone, and hope your New Years celebrations are safe and happy.

Love ya Joe, Happy New Year to you and your whole family.

Satchfan - you may want to check your emails, as I thought we already were talking about it?

Two Shay - keep me in mind around June time then

Michelle - I know I'm vulnerable right now, but using the pippy line isn't going to melt me as easy as it used to (har har de har). I will def go, can't see that I wouldn't, but my ticket isn't an issue. An I am where you are with it, but still a bit iffy at the mo as I really feel no one else should be in the seat because they can't fill it so to speak. So it's like a one off mark of respect that I leave it empty. But again, with your super lady perception, it's early days.

Ideally, and I can't remember how many shows I'm in for now, on each night it would be filled by a different member of our clan here. That would be the upmost respect I could pay, and would give me (and no doubt pops) a big joy. Thank you for the wise words and watch this space?

Cheese - copy cat, copy dat. Mum is in, but she doesn't know she has tickets (shhh!). But at the moment she's falling apart. I know it's understandable, but I can't be there for her every hour of every day so it's a little worrying. She's in a fog, that I hope is going to start to lift when certain things have happened. Thank you as always. I have been having my secret meltdowns in the bathroom - and first person to turn that into anything gets -1000 points for predictability :-)

Time for a very boring glass of water, and then sleep (hopefully). Night all

Happy birthday, Jeff Campitelli! And happy 12th anniversary, Live In San Francisco! It still feels like just yesterday that I was at that show...

Did anyone get any cool music-related gifts for Christmas? I got this cool shirt from the Satch store.

A few days before Christmas, I saw the last stop of the Brian Setzer Orchestra's Christmas tour. What a show! And it occured to me halfway through that I've now seen everyone on the original Merry Axemas CD except for Richie Sambora and Hotei...not bad!

Well that was 2012 folks. I got to see Joe twice, after not seeing him since PSATMOR. And I get to see him again in April. Happy days indeed. I was also lucky in many other ways, it was a great year. But 2013 will be the best yet. I have heaps of plans and goals cos it's a big birthday year for me. I'm going to do some things way out of my comfort zone. I hope you all have a wonderful and fun New Year's Eve and that 2013 is your best year ever. Feel free to tell me what you want to do, be, have in 2013. Skippy

Hope everyone is doing well.

Pip: Condolences to you and the family. Praying that everyone/everything is alright.

Michelle, T-Bone, Peace Lily, Skippy: Hope you lovely ladies are doing well.

DTS: Austin, great to hear from you. Happy New Year to you.

Joe: Wishing you a safe and rockin' New Year.

I am looking forward to 2013. I have marathons lined up and my first one is in Charleston, South Carolina on 1/19/13. I will try to make sure to let you all know where I am running this year. This year in running, I would rack up a little over 3,500 miles total.

To Everyone: Have a safe and wonderful New Year. Hope 2013 is a good one for you all. \m/ \m/

When are you going to write an autobiography? Fans want to know what has kept you going so strong all these years and how you've managed to produce an enormous amount of material plus keep an intense (World) tour schedule along with that. (There is no place on the internet to discuss Joe Satriani and his music. That's a real shame. Even at this site there is no place for fan interaction. Every other musician/band has good interactive messageboards/forums.)
