Ladies, gentlemen, the former Prog X/One With The Computer here, now using my real name. It's been a while, eight years to be exact, since I last posted anything on this site. Long story short...settled down, bought a house, got married to the love of my life Janet, extricated all negative influences from my life, became a die-hard Baltimore Ravens fan and converted to the religion of Branch Footballism. ;) Living life to the fullest in suburban Essex Maryland and working too hard for my own good, haven't had a lot of time for too many creative ventures but still hopeful. Still listening to Joe Satriani profusely along with whatever strange beautiful music that is out there that my needlessly complex thought processes can absorb. Anyone who remembers me from years past, look me up on Facebook sometime, I live there for the most part now. God bless and keep the musical faith, everyone. Cheers. :)

Ok skippy ,you have said it really perfect.. Ok in italian guitar is chitarra and for example, alternate picking is pennata alternata..If you want to say to joe ,i am happy to see you..you can say ,sono contenta di vederti..but i don't know if he will understand..i don't think..

Turkeyman is another great song ,but i think joe has never played it live?isn't it?

Hi everyone...what's new in the new year so far?

andy from marx - Welcome to the site! I'd love to hear Joe do Silent Night / Holy Night Jam, like you mentioned in your earlier post. I think our best shot at hearing it was during Joe's short run of shows at the end of the EOC tour, when Live In San Francisco was recorded...it didn't happen, though. Maybe someday...

Aaand about Turkey Man, Joe also played the intro (and outro!) when he played Rubina on the same LISF tour...

Skippygirl - I don't know if jazz fusion is your thing, but Frank Gambale has three albums out with Stu Hamm and Steve Smith (ex-Journey). Their trio is called GHS...here are links to a few songs:

Astral Traveler (this song features my all-time favorite Stu solo, from 3:39-4:09)
Fugitive Aspirations
Geo 100

Kirk Bradford Myers - Welcome back! And congrats to your Ravens for winning today...

...Austin...

Hi Joe! hey a quick question that has been bugging me like crazy!! theres a video on youtube called "Joe Satriani analyzes "Flying in a Blue Dream" and right at the very end you say the next song your about to play is probably the hardest in the world...WHAT IS IT?!?!? the video cuts out just after it lol! and if you have time WHY is this mystery song the hardest? thanks a lot joe im a huge fan, keep up the awesome work!

Guitarman - thanks for that link! Gawd, if I could just play Ten Words I would die happy. I've had help (Pip and Daz that's you) and one day I will indeed nail it but at the rate I'm going it will be few years yet. Such a great song, and with the Turkey Man intro (another one of my faves) it's just perfect.

Do the Stu - hiya Austin, I did like the Thunder Current number, I guess the jazz fusion thing is a little to the side of what I like but I did like Stu's solo there in the first one. How's you?? What up in LA? Did you see my Joe Christmas message - Gangam Style?

Ciao skippy you may like other songs of the same Frank Gambale cd called "the Great Explorer".Try these:the jaguar, the great explorer, and the final frontier. perhaps(she knows me well). That's so to say a more rock_commercial cd that disinguishes itself a llittle bit from the others of the same author.

And if you want to hear something incredible, you could here CENTRIFUGAL FUNK with Gambale and Holldsworth together..it is wonderfull..

Hey all, hows it go?

Super excited for the upcoming show in June at Colston Hall. Wish it was now. Ha. I was checking my satch collection the other day and shockingly discovered that I do not own Additional Creations! I know it was a freebie giveaway with Engines. But nonetheless... i need it. No illegal copies thank you!

Any ideas.

Nick
