Skippygirl - I sent the webmaster a photo of the last painting I gave to Joe over 4 years ago and it's still not on the fan site :/ so I don't bother now.

are you going to see MR. VAI?

edit - about the t-shrit size, I can't remember if we could choose a size ? if it's too big i'll have to use it as a nighty.

Looking for some help getting Unstoppable Momentum. I ordered the $14 prerelease deal that had a signed insert, and can provide the order number if need-be. I never got a credit card charge though, and I've never heard anything about it being shipped.

I sent something to the webmaster email from the little "contact" button on the bottom right about this, and a few days later I got an email saying I would hear back in 2-3 days. That was sent to me a week ago on the 16th, and I haven't heard anything back.

I don't mean to come off demanding, but it's been over two weeks since Unstoppable Momentum came out. I decided to spring for the signed copy instead of buying it instore like I did with Wormhole since a friend of mine ordered Wormhole signed, and it actually arrived before the release date, but I'm starting to really regret that decision. I have a receipt, but I haven't been charged, I haven't heard anything back from the webmaster, and I just want to listen to the new album soon. :(

most of you have already been to a joe satriani concert and you don’t need me to tell how great it was. to me, this or that song doesn’t make much difference, as long as he’s playing. instead, i wanted to share my experience from the other side of the curtain; got the after-show pass for the zagreb concert yesterday (yes, lindsey is still in charge) at local venue “tvornica kulture” (btw, absolutely crappy, staff too, backstage small and ugly). after a two hours long show, we got into the backstage, all souped-up, a bit jittery (i must admit), eager to meet & greet the guys. take it from me: there’s really no way to prepare for the experience we got (and sadly only a handful of lucky guys & girls are going to get). the moment i met the guys, my admiration instantly changed its shape; instead of meeting a bunch of obviously very popular and proficient musicians, i met four brilliant, very down to earth, all-smiles guys, acting as if they were some “long time no see” friends. in the moment i forgot about their skills, their fame and professional status, ‘cause i’ve met happy, relaxed yet pretty humble guys without a trace of a rock-star aura, responding to the compliments in such a shy way for an outsider it would be pretty difficult to tell the difference between them, the real stars, and the rest of the crowd. at first, i was taken aback by the scene, ‘cause it went far beyond my expectations. really, there’s no enough words and phrases to describe the whole event (even though i like to think my english isn’t so bad). sure, i was hoping for the similar outcome; i wanted to see the guys who really enjoy what they’re doing and appreciate the loyalty of their fans, doing their best to give the fans a rewarding show. and i wanted to meet decent human beings above all. but the chemistry and the mood i’ve experienced by far outstripped my expectations. i suppose in a way it has to do with the “leading guy”, ‘cause a couple of years ago i’ve also met allan whitman and jeff campitelli, and they behaved exactly along the lines described above, with such ease, in the spirit of friendship and modesty, with a great sense of humor (we really had so much fun back then). back to the point … my god, joe satriani is the shyest of all; a spectacular guitar player, a super hero of all of us (wannabee guitarists) and in fact, very amicable human being, like he’s not even aware of his powers. most likeable personality, if you ask me (since i’m running out of words here, feel free to replicate and apply to joe satriani all the qualities and character traits already mentioned before). using the term politeness would be quite an understatement, and such a behavior really adds another, to me very important dimension to the whole thing. it’s a human dimension, and because of that, if joe satriani ever decides to make music with two pieces of bedrock, i would still buy his albums and concert tickets. with delight. beating that kind of passion and conviction is no easy feat …

ps sorry if i overdid it a bit, but i really felt a need to share it with all of you

CHECK IT!

Official Seaside Heights Boardwalk Construction Time-Lapse

It even shows the roller coaster being taken out of the water.

In other news, there's a SWAT team a few blocks from my house with a 17 year old kid barricaded inside his house. What the shit, man?

HA! GTFO! They yelled at an empty house for 3 1/2 hours..

"The teenager who was believed to be barricaded inside a home has been found -- but not inside the home.

The 17-year-old was found in Spring Township and is now in police custody.

There is no other information regarding how he was found or why he was believed to be barricaded in the home."

How much money did that cost us? pffft!

Listening to Uriah Heep - Magician's Birthday on Spotify. I forgot how great that song was. I had their song Stealin' in my head all day. Sweet Lorraine, Easy Livin' - all the stuff i grew up on. Haven't heard this in forever.

Anybody else that old? LOL!

magnitude - that was a very nice description, glad you got to meet Joe.

Big bunny - Vai is playing when I'm on holiday up in Port Douglas so unfortunately I will have to miss. I would have liked to see Dave Weiner again.

I can't remember whether there was a choice of T shirt sizes. In any case they are men's. The artwork on it is fab!

I like your latest album very much. It is very well balanced for wide audience as well as for demanding ears. Your new sound evidently goes well with the latest technology available. It shows how you worked hard and learned new things to squeeze the best out of all. I can feel your charisma and modesty in all your songs again. No musical selfishness or false posture. I awaited something new and was not disappointed at all. You are model for many musicians including me. Thank you for sharing your perfection and joy.
