Hey Joe,

As a mid-thirties amateur guitar player I had no role models in my life - mainly because the world around us seems to be so focused on hair.

Dude. Thanks for making the smooth look cool. Don't tell anyone, but just occasionally, if the kids and the missus are out, I crank up the master vol and throw the shades on..... it just seems right.

Can't wait for the UK tour this summer. All the best.

Matt

Hey Joe & Everyone!

RACE/RUN UPDATE

Hope everyone is well. I had my marathon weekend down in Charleston, South Carolina. First marathon of this year is in the books, as well as State #6 marked off for my 50 Marathons in 50 States quest.

I finished with a time of 2:46:20 and took 3rd place overall. I got a really cool picture and frame, $10 off PBC Photography for online photos from the race, and a $75 gift certificate to a running store, which I used and got a new pair of Pureflows, from Brooks. My next race will be on my 28th birthday (2/24) up in Goshen, Indiana, which is the Maple Leaf Indoor Marathon.

Hope you all are well, and things are getting better for me.

Grant

Peace, and again...FUUUUCK CANCER!!! Sorry to hear about your friend. Hopefully she/he caught it early and gets good treatment. So glad your scare was just a scare and not the real deal. Cancer sucks.

No new Joe links that I found.

Highlight of my day - Al Roker at the Inaugural parade. F'n hilarious!

Highlight to start my day yesterday - I got in the shower with my glasses on. lol!

HA! F it. If that's as bad as it gets, I'll take it.

1975 - age 10 - blasting big can headphones - life changing music.

Yours?

Sheesh, another friend got a one way ticket to see the Boss Man in the sky. RIP soul man Brian Bailey, frontman for Five Dollar Shoes. A true gentleman and promoter of live music. I know it will be difficult but hope the band plays on.

Debs - I hadn't known him much more than a year but was absolutely impressed by him. A true gentleman with a passion for live music of any style. Just a few weeks ago we were talking about the band performing at my 25th wedding anniversary do and there was no sign at all that he may be about to cough and drop. Not only did no-one have a bad word about him, everyone always had something good to say about him. The world is a poorer place with his passing.

Hello! I'm from México and I want to ask for something that would mean the world to me. My husband's best friend is getting married on May and he is really a big fan of you Joe. He is a great guitar player he knows all your songs, has all your records and has been in many of your concerts. He is going to make a performance in his own wedding in honor to you and they are going to have their first husband and wife dance with one of your songs.... My request is only if you can send to my e mail a video of you wishing him and his wife to have a great life together... It won't take you more than one minute and you could really change his life forever, he may even forget about the other event..... The idea is to play your video just after their dance! Please please! I know how busy you are and probably you won't even have time to read this but if you do please it would be our best gift as best man and maid of honor! Hopefully this will get in good hands and reach you!! Thankyou! Their names are Abel and Lily! And my e mail pragatan@hotmail.com
