Also, good for you on waiting T.Safley. The curse of the internet in all it's brilliance has managed to absolutely whole-hartley bum fuck the music industry for all it's worth and it's a miracle such nice music as this gets released to all of our lovely ears...

Anyhoo Good work JOE!!!! How do you keep those fingers so nimble???? Mine get clumsy after typing a bit. :-)

New album is very challenging to listen to. And I mean that in a good way. Joe really went a totally different direction with this. Which is kinda weird to say after BSAWW. Another awesome thing about what I've heard so far is that each song is reminiscent of several of his albums. Can't Go Back=Strange Beautiful Music. Lies And Truths= Is There Love In Space? Shine On American Dreamer= The Extremist. The Weight Of The World= Engines Of Creation Listen to them again and you'll hear it. But before I start giving reviews on them, I want to hear them more in-depth. So once I get the album delivered to me I'm going to give it a couple of listens.

P.S. - Three Sheets To The WInd has to be one Joe's goofiest riffs, but it was stuck in my head ALL DAY LONG. Props to you, Joe. Don't know how you do it.

The new album is good, but the mastering is far too loud and compressed! Can't listen at loud levels. One of the worst masterings I've heard this year!!!

Joe - such an amazing record! It must be nerve wracking working so hard on your 'baby' and then handing it over for us to pick apart, must be scary as hell. There's something for everyone in here, and it's all so good. Classics, all of them. Stellar work as usual

Skippy - thanks lovely. Such a fun, catchy song. It's literally what it says on the tin!

Michelle - love you pippys don't count if you're 7 sheets to the wind when you say it lol. No worries, I will check emails. Guessing package arrived

Three Sheets - didn't Joe say the track was about some well off chap getting plastered and into fights and dodgy situations like taking the wrong night bus? No, it's def not about anyone on here lmao

Lies and Truth - there's an epic harmony hook, three or more guitars I suspect, where it almost sounds like the guitars are letting out a sigh. Does anyone else get that vibe? Killer track!

Cheese - there's a stream, the link is out there, or just clicky HERE and enjoy some fine Joseph

Right, I need to go and buy a chicken....

In addition, you have nothing sceduled in CT for 2013.

Whats the skinny?

LOVE LOVE LOVE the new album Joe, it's amazing! Goes in so many directions it's like being on Mr. Toad's Wild Ride at Disneyland, but in the bestest way possible!! Love all the instruments you tossed in as suprises here and there. Can't wait to get my "Official" cd!

Alan Mc, I really do believe that one particular song was inspired by you. Only Joe knows of course, but truly....it's you :) And makes me laugh and smile through the whole song!!

Well, good fer u Mr. Chad! I've never heard of a cd hitting THAT early, but I'da swooped it up too if I was you! Are you loving it??

And now back to my listening bliss.....

I said the same thing at first, I almost didn't like it, and I was disappointed. But after listening to the whole album about 20 or 30 times now, I really like it.

So even when I don't like it, I like it. Joe is a wizard, a wormhole wizard!

Hey Joe, I'm writing an essay about you for my music course at college and I was wondering if I could come and ask you a few questions about your techniques and methods of improvisation after your gig in Bristol on the 13 of June as I am already coming along to see it.

@Skippygirl

Well, that's not the way I'm hearing music. The first three albums (Not of this Earth, Surfing..., Flying...) have outstanding audio quality.

Unstoppable Moments has the same compressed audio like many new recordings. No dynamics... no life in the music!!!

Claus - aha, I see.

On another note, how random can life be? Having a jolly time enjoying the new CD and many other fantastic things going on in my life, and then one of my best friend's 14 year old nephew was killed in a farm accident on Saturday. My friend is the one who once asked me on a girls' weekend away "is that your Joe Santorini music?" she's so sweet. Now she's grieving with her sister.

And at work today I heard a dear colleague of mine on the phone to various people organising his sister's funeral, a biography and a list of gifts she wants to buy. She has terminal stomach cancer and hasn't got long to go and he had spent the weekend with her carefully documenting all her requests. She is buying gifts for her two sons' 16th, 18th, and 21st birthdays and their weddings. Her husband will give them to them when these milestones come around because she won't be here.

FFS

So I put on UM on my way home from work. Of course I got to IPASOYC and I am blubbering and trying to drive through tears. And then comes ADIS and it's full of hope and new things and I felt better. And then SOAD sends you back out there with your dukes up.

Jaysus. Thanks heavens for Sir Joseph. He never leaves a song on a negative note, there's always a positive overtone. Clever track order too.

Hi Joe hope things are good with you, I have a question concerning guitars are you still using the original edge trem in your guitars. I have a JS and want to change the trem and heard the edge was pretty good. Have a great show at the indigo in London, see you there Thankyou

I got it on iTunes so today UM dominates! I love Three Sheets To The Wind, it's that crazy song Joe drops in to make us laugh or smile at the silliness. Good on you Joe, this one is a winner. Now please tour Australia honey.

^ +1 for the bit in bold \m/^_^\m/ Joe please bring the UM tour to OZ!

Skippygirl, i'm waiting for the art book arrive. did you get your high res. photo from Thump Music?

This album is a "grower" to be sure! I mean sure, I liked it on first listen but holy guacamole! The more you listen the more it gets under your skin! Now I'm completely head-over-heels about it. My only real "complaint" is that 45min. feels VERY short for an "album" for me. I guess that it is just Sofa King good that I want MORE! LOL!

There had better be some Canajun dates on the tour.. the line up for the touring band is beyond epic. This tour WILL be the mightiest incarnation of a Joe band that anyone has EVER seen. Mark my words.

I have not stopped listening to the whole album on 'repeat all' since Friday.. and it just keeps on getting better and better to my mind. Thanks Joe!

smooches,

Thanks Hangman, that DOES work...I just now saw your link to catch the last little bit with Joe and Jumpin' In. Maybe there will be a repeat somewhere? If so and anyone knows about it, maybe you can throw up the link?

:)
