Happy Birthday Joe!
I just got your complete studio collections (on the chrome done) back in early June, and I have to say I'm loving it. It was well worth the wait. I just found out about your music a year or two ago, and it's become my life. Your music's the reason I decided to pick up guitar, actually. Your music is fantastic; it speaks to me in ways that lyrics never could. You've easily become my favorite artist.
Anyway, I wish you a happy birthday, and good luck on the rest of your tour. My first concert is going to be Bad Company and Lynyrd Skynyrd on the 19th; swing by Baltimore or somewhere close sometime so you can be my second!
Regards,
David

Hopefully he won't skip florida. And some friends and I started playing together again. Life is good. Hopefully all the T2J'ers are well and happy.

I'm currently going backwards through Joe's solo albums, half way through 'PSATMOR', looking forward to Super Colossal because I haven't listened to it in ages.

I may add 'Out Of The Sunrise' to my setlist wishlist, but what to ditch :/

Hi guys and gals, been a while since posting, but need some help. I have a JS100 and a DiMarzio Pro Track DP188, that I want to install in the neck position. I have the mounting sorted, but unsure of the wiring. I'd like it to be a clean swap, with the same functionality as original. Any techo's out there that can point me in the right direction?

One of the hallmarks (well mine anyway) of an amazing musician is how consistently they perform live. I love all the studio albums but I am always left in awe when listening to your live albums (Paris, San Francisco, and Satchurated), those are the performances I love the most as it's what is delivered on the spot as opposed to the editing an re-recording process of the studio. I also love the videos except for the Paris one which for me is unwatchable due to suffering photo sensitive migraines, too many effects I'm sorry to say :-(. However I would love an unprocessed viewing of that one. The audio is spot on which more than makes up for it. The raw (no visual effects) video of 'Satchurated' was amazing to watch.

Saw you in Liverpool 2014 and can't wait until you revisit the UK again. Not too long hopefully.

Don't wear yourself out now and make the most of your rest periods.

Very best wishes,

Ned.

Hello everyone, my name's Florian Champourlier, I am new to the forum.

I was born on the 7th of April 1986 and therefore, I'm 28 years old ;) I started guitar at age 16 and started recording 5 years ago.

I record everything alone (I don't have any band yet), and learned guitar alone too, but the basis of my knowledge was acquired at the music school, as I was studying cello.

A friend of mine (still my best friend) Tristan Buet who started guitar at age 8 and plays now with an orchestra for weddings etc. introduced me to Joe Satriani's work as I was in high school, fascinated by MUSE especially the Showbiz album. I listened many tracks, and found many tracks so wonderful and mighty that I bought an RGX420S from Yamaha and started to buy some guitar songbooks (Jam with Joe, Super Colossal, Cristal Planet, Professor Satchafunkilus). Now I'm working on Revelation, I love that laidback and powerful song !

Here is my point : I want to play guitar on stage to deliver messages and emotions, but I feel a little bit lost...can someone help me to find a way ?

My soundcloud account

Bye !

florianat8via - listen to more blues. that might help.

That's where Satch got his inspiration from (Hendrix too) and that's where rock came from..

"The Blues Had A Baby And They Named It Rock And Roll" - Muddy Waters.

Blues requires more than the technical abilities of a master shredder.. it comes from a totally different place. More soul than shred.

I ventured outside of my comfort zone today and wired up the pro track in my JS100. It was pretty simple and straight forward after having a good look into it. Happy with the result, but now want to replace the bridge pick up. I suppose why stop there, due to its age, I might replace all the parts to give it an even longer life...

Hi there
Here we go! Second show of Joe and his band in two weekend, yess! The second one was in open air during the "festival Jazz des 5 continents" in Marseilles (with Lucky Peterson playing in 2nd part)
We were less well placed compared to Six-Four show (where we were just behind Joe's pedalboard!) but we had a great surprise!
Thanks a lot Webmaster and Lindsey!
And thank you VERY much Joe!!
Have a nice and enjoyable continuation of world tour, with such success that you've had during your long French tour!

A few days after the 1st show, I've worked a little bit "jumpin'in" (http://youtu.be/ZS7w9InLRzQ) (of course, it has to be worked upon much more!).
I feel that Joe tunes 1/2 tone down:
can you Joe please confirm ?
Thanks a lot!
Wawan solo
