Happy New Year to Joe, the band and the fans.

Joe, PLEASE come back to the UK, we missed you in 2014. I've made it to all of your tours so the gap was massive last year. If I could get the cash together I'd join you in the States. Ideal would be to see you and Lonero supporting you.

Dear Joe:

I just finished reading your biography “Strange Beautiful Music, A Musical Memoir” and I must say your life as a musician has lived up to what I already anticipated before I picked up this book. Ever since I bought Not of the Earth on cassette tape back in ’85 I had this impression that you were this clean and sober guitarist that is going through life like so many of us trying to make something of the gift that we have been given. I remember growing up on the farm and late one night I was out plowing in the field and listen to 101.1 the WRIF out of Detroit Mi. I heard for the first time Surfing with the Alien. It was awesome!!!! I had listened to all the same classic rock artists that you did but this was different. It kept me awake that night because the melody kept going through my head. It was a good thing because I never put the tractor in the ditch. I rode ATV’s as a kid and the Surfing melody always raced through my head while I rode. It was not until I read this book that I understood why you wrote it.

Anyways, I believe your career success is based upon the response you received from your parents especially your father that is illustrated on page 20 in your book. I believe if your Father had responded very differently the course of your future would have been forever altered. I am thankful that I’m not the only one who had a father believe in him and you acknowledged this on page 273. Thanks for being you and for all the hard work in producing this fantastic music. I’m looking forward to what the future brings.

PS.

In 2010 a friend bought me an early Christmas gift, an Ibanez RG4 and I’m slowly learning to play. I have your VOX pedals and my next wish list item is a JS24P. Hopefully 2015 is the year. Thanks Joe.

Happy New Year and God Bless you and your Family CBraet

Mr. Satriani, My name is Randy McPhie. I am a 57 year old man who is dying from Hepatocellular Cacinoma, (Liver Cancer). I

am also one of your biggest fans. A year ago my doctors said I probably had two years, maybe only one year left to live.

Well, after a two week session of "Why me" I picked myself up by the seat of mr pants and said, "So be it! If I'm scheduled

to dye soon OK, I can deal with that!" There was a time when I had notebooks full of things I wanted to do, places I wanted

to see, and emotions I wanted to experience. Now they have all boiled down to a few short items listed on the back of a

paper napkin. Since 1990 when I first became aware of you and your exceptional guitar skills, the awesome music you have

given to us, personally it has done more than entertained me for it touches me spiritually. If I could fly is my all-time

favorite and WILL be played at my wake. However, Number 1 on my bucket list for many years now was, "To see Joe Satriani

live in concert seated within the first five rows." Last August I overheard a guy mentioning that he had just came back

from Vegas where he had seen you in concert. That inspired me to get online and track down a concert schedule. I found one

saying that August 30th you'd be in Vegas for a show. I immediatel registered with front row tickets, they were suppose to

email me the minute those tickets came on sale. It wasn't long after that your US tour ended and your Europe tour began. It

was then that I became aware that the August 30th Vegas show Was old news as it had been the show that I had overheard that

guy talking about. I was devastated because I had lo9st my very last chance at fulfilling my Number 1 bucket list goal. If

my doctors are right, and I believe they are, You most likely won't be out on another tour before my time is up. I have

purchased, not illegally downloaded, but purchased nearly every CD you have ever produced and I listen to them, you could

just about say DAILY! That music awakens me physically, it moves me mentally, and it touches me spiritually. I mcry nearly

every time I hear "Cryin'". Why? I don't know it just has that profound of an effect on me. And "If I Could Fly" man that

song puts me up there above the clouds without a care in the world soaring around higher than the eagles feeling

exhilerated and completely oblivious to any and all of my dispairs down here on earth. I know that you have the 3G concert

in California left to do here in the near future. But I am an SSI Recipient who only gets $733.00 each month. There's no

way in this world I could ever squeeze out enough to pay for that trip and concert tickets. Even though my Number 1 Bucket

List experience can't be achieved in this lifetime, perhaps I will be able to catch up to you in the next. I will end this

by saying Thank you Joe Satriani for being who you are and for doing what you do' Respectfully ypours, Randy McPhie randymcphie@gmail.com

Randy - I wish you all the best. Joe's music does indeed lift us up, soothe our pain and give us hope. I am glad you are listening to his work. The next thing publicly scheduled for Joe as far as I know is a residential tutorial G4 thing in June where people stay for 4 days of guitar tutoring. Maybe something will crop up near you after he finishes recording his next studio album next week. He sometimes does ad hoc events with Sammy Hagar too.

Hi Joe,

Thank you for accepting me to your fun club!

I love space in your music. One day I put few pictures together while listening to Ten Words and a video came out of it. It's from your home town and I hope you'll enjoy it. "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w4r_DpxWYHo"

Are you planning to play in SF Bay Area soon?

Warm regards,

Tereska
