Hey Joe! Looking forward to the show at the Elsinor Theater in Salem. I'm taking my children to listen to some Beautiful music at a Beautiful venue. I am the guitar guy you met in Portland a few years back that you added your artwork to the child art guitar I built. You should have seen the eyes light up with honor when I asked them if they wanted to go see you. Can't wait to see you myself!

JS, just curious as to what your thoughts are on Rocksmith 2014 session mode. This tool seems to be a very quick and easy way to get groove going on a new idea.

All the time I get new ideas in my head and then by the time I get everything setup to have some type of basic backing to help motivate and improvise on it, it's gone! This new band AI system is great! Now those ideas can just flow (while recording with an external source mind you).

Technology is so crazy now and having an AI band at your will is just yet another tool to bring new musical possibilities to the table.

Just wondering if something like this appeals to even guitarist like yourself? Or does it just make you wish you would of had something like that 30 years ago? Lol.

Anyway, if you do mess around with it, I for one would love to see how you improvise with it. Maybe make some YouTube videos or something :)

Joe,

Thanks so much for coming back through Spokane. I felt a bit out of place being one of the younger crowd members but I enjoyed the show. I don't have the finances to be able to make many shows and I missed out last time you came through town - but did catch you at the Big EZ on the ITLIS tour. Spokane is such a small venue by most standards that I appreciate you coming back through. I hope some day to meet you in person.

Hi Joe,

Saw you on Thursday 13th June 2013 in the UK at Wolverhampton Civic Hall and it blew my socks off and has to be one of the best live gigs I have been to and I have seen many bands and artists over the years.

I have a few questions for you. 1. Do you use alternate tunings for your guitars during the show? 2. What alternate tunings do you use? 3. What songs do you use alternate tunings on?

I have a Ibanez JS1200 Candy Apple Red and a Ibanez JS100 Transparent Red and love both these guitars plus I have a few other makes of guitar but the Ibanez JS1200 and JS 100 seem to have the edge.

Thank you in advance.

Keep on rocking, Mark.

Hi Joe, I would like to know what were the pickups that you had landed on the 1988 Black Dog? The pads are black, therefore the neck I think it's the Paf Pro (DP151) and the bridge is the Super 3 (dp152) or a Paf Pro ... I WANT TO KNOW ABSOLUTELY, thank you joe !

Hi Joe, Fantadtic Concert on Saturday Oct.19th in Vancouver, you really kicked my ASS!!!!!!
Amazing as always......
I have ONE BEEF though with the fans in Vancouver....WTF is with you people.....
I was in the first 10 rows and everyone except a couple of people sat on their ASSES for the whole concert (Except for the encore). I was really disappointed in Vancouver fans (which is getting epidemic)...
The only time I sat less was at a Moody Blues concert which was attended by 70 year olds.
The person behind me had to have been all of 30 years old and he was bitchin' for me to sit down.
Maybe it's the VOGUE that's the shit venue, with security and all putting a downer on the concert goers. Joe, if all under your control. please do not play at the Vogue ever again.
I'd rather see you again outdoors at the Plaza Of Nations or The Commodore (THE place to play) dude......
Still Joe, you kicked my ass and I'm sure you saw the tears in my eyes at the concert. Lots of Love man and hope to see you soon in whatever incarnation you can conjure up!!!!!! Peace Out....

Hey Joe!

Excellent Show in Salem last night. I know Wanda Sue would have loved it too.... Been 2 years since she's been gone already. When we got to hang out with you in portland many years ago when she was battling the cancer the first time , it was a true highlight of her life. Aiden (our son) was STOKED to see you so close up. Caught a pick in the head and we couldnt find it till after and the lights came up... way cool.... As always, you were amazing and love to see how much energy you have for gigging... Take care my friend!

Would we have heard by now if we’d lucked into the aftershow passes?

In any case, we can’t wait to see you at the Fox on Saturday night—your show was my 14th birthday gift from my parents. I’m one of your biggest fans!

My very first solo performance was “Midnight” when I was 12 and had been playing just over a year. I’ve since covered “Day at the Beach” and “Always with Me, Always with You” as well as “Surfing with the Alien,” which I performed for my middle school graduation this past June. Also in June, I and my 2 bandmates won the title “Junior High Blues/Pop/Rock Group of 2013” from DownBeat Magazine, based on an audio submission of three of my original compositions, influenced by some of my favorite musicians--yourself included of course!

Here’s a cover of “Day at the Beach” from when I was 13: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=133284343491713&l=5271767358550246445

I have played HopMonk Tavern in Novato and the Sweetwater in Mill Valley. I’m saving up to possibly attend Guitar Workshop Plus this coming summer, and I’m thinking about maybe applying to Berklee College of Music one day.

Thanks for your continued inspiration!

I have created a video for a professional racing series I work for and was wondering if I can use music of yours I have purchased as background? It will eventually be on YouTube and has been created for entertainment purposes only, not for resale. Is this a possibility?

Hi Joe! I was part of the VIP group that met with you when you visited Ottawa, Canada. First off, I want to congratulate you and the band on one hell of a show! I was seated 2nd row center and was blown away. Great sound and light show was killer too. Anyway, I was kind of surprised when we met for the autographs and photos when you asked me a hockey question related to the spin move on the shootout. Didn't know you even had time to watch the game! Anyway, thanks again for being so patient with us mere mortals with the autograph session and loved the show. Oh ya, one more thing, is there any chance you will post a photo of yourself wearing the t-shirt I gave you of my band SOUTHBOUND? That would be so cool to have on our website! peace and good travels for the rest of the tour. Rob Balsillie, Ottawa, ON

Gutted. We were due to fly to San Francisco from London last Wednesday to see Oakland show tonight but last week l found out I have to have an urgent hysterectomy on Monday so everything has been cancelled! Talk about bad timing! Docs are letting me take my iPod into anaesthetic room so I can listen to blue dream. Just found out our tickets at Fox theatre have been upgraded. Have a great show joe and thanks so much for shepherds Bush empire gig in summer. Hopefully catch you next time round?
