Brian,

Dec 13th we are with Fates Warning at the Hawthorne. Not the best place for pictures so consider it a challenge. : )

Joe, attended your last show of the tour in Oakland. You and your group really brought it. It's amazing how you guys put your all in your shows even after so long on the road and so many shows under your belt. I've been a fan for...wow, 30 years and never seize to be amazed by your talent and ability to entertain. Hope you can make it back some day. Maybe to Napa or Wells Fargo center in Santa Rosa. Enjoy your rest. You deserve it.

GREAT pics Brian, too bad that one lady security guard was on a power-trip in Salem >:( Oh and PS, first thing after getting home we got frames for all the pics and they are all over the "guitar room" now :) Thanks again for everything!

The Salem show was so good, we love seeing Joe any chance we can get and this was no exception. There's something uplifting about being there seeing Joe, hearing his music and...."basking" is the only way I can describe it, in the "goodness that is Joe Satriani" :) I absolutely loved the killer drum solo, the whole band was awesome together, and one of the best parts was watching Joe literally dance in place trading riffs with Mike...he couldn't stay still waiting to see what Mike was gonna play so he could answer back. Pure enjoyment!

After the show we all got a chance to say hi to Mick and gibber at him for a couple minutes. My friend Denise, the self-proclaimed "Joe Satriani concert sacrificial virgin" told Mick that we have a WONDERFUL theater here in Klamath Falls, called the Ross Ragland and would welcome him with open arms to come play a show. Mick, being so kind, said "We'd LOVE to play in Klamath Falls!" lol! I'm pretty sure he might never of heard of our town before, but I told Denise she was in charge of making connections since she has an "in" at the Ross Raglund. It's a dream, but ya never know!!

Thanks bunches Joe, for the great show and coming to Salem, that was a treat not to have to navigate in Portland :D You can come back there ANYtime! And now I hope you are enjoying some well-deserved time off, maybe got yer "freak-on" last night for Halloween...and can enjoy the holidays with family and friends. There are rumors flying around already about tour plans for next year, so get some good rest first! You've gotta be one of the hardest working guys in the business! OH, and Chris says thanks infinity times infinity for playing Cryin' live, it was the highlight of the night for him!

Hi Joe I really consider myself one of the greatest fans. Several times I had a horrible day and youyr music made me forget about it and be happy again. Two songs for my therapy sessions were "crushing day" and "ceremony " but many other songs made me forget my worries. . I saw you in New Orleans in 2013 and i think the show was awesome. You made it look very easy and I am aware of how difficult it is to play your songs. I enjoy listening to your songs every day and I am amazed with your creativity. The message is always there and inspiring., By the way you should be on bumper music on coast to coast am because of the fascination you have with the universe and planets. God bless you Joe and I look forward to see you again.

Something i thought was worth sharing. Not Joe related, but yet it very much is.

Disturbed

Something a lot of people don't realize about musicians/crew is most of us are father's/husbands too & it never gets easy to leave our families behind! Not easy seeing my kids off to school yesterday and seeing them cry cuz' I have to tour.It is a great life to travel & play music but it can also be very lonely. I'm NOT in anyway complaining about the life I have cuz I'm very fortunate & blessed. Just saying most of you who may enjoy a break from your kids, you get to return home from work & tuck them in bed every night. We drive further away to the next state. Our wives have got to be the strongest people I know, to have to handle all duties with the kids, school, home, bills & also being lonely. Yes it can be glamorous but there's a price to pay! I've missed weddings, funerals, birthdays (including my son's first b-day), kids school events,etc...There's lots of great bands busting their asses that are happy just to make enough money to have gas to get to the next city. They put blood, sweat & tears into giving you their music or a show to help you feel good too!Do me a favor and it doesn't need to be my band (Fight or Flight/Disturbed) but if you hear about a new band, go buy their cd, knowing that all the sacrifices I've mentioned, that they are going thru similar things and missing their families too! We in Disturbed appreciate you the fans who have given us a career & have become our extended family & you know what, when we are away from you, we miss you too! So that being said, we have every intention of returning someday as Disturbed & seeing all your faces again. All bands do what they can to find balance for our love of music & family. Songs help people heal so find a new band, buy a cd/ download it & help spread the word. Keep rock/metal alive. Enjoy your weekend!Much love & respect-

Dan Donegan

I talked very briefly with Joe in Salem, Oregon at his concert last month. I am a member of the Fallen Trooper Memorial board here and brought this blue Ibanez that was donated by Uptown Music in Keizer, Oregon to be signed for our auction that was held November 2nd. We didn't have the right audience for that item, but we were able to generate some funds through it. Joe seemed to be interested in our auction, but we only had a brief moment to talk so I wanted to say on behalf of my wife Jane and I, the Fallen Trooper Memorial and Uptown Music thank you so very much for signing this item for us and we wish you many blessings in your future!!

Hey all you guitar fanatics!

Joe really touched me with his music from an early age. For a period in my life he was all I aspired to be. Well recently, I entered a songwriter competition, and I would love your support. I can win it with enough points (1 view = 1 point), so watch em as many times as you want! I get even more points if you share them with a function on the website. Let me know what you think, I'd appreciate it if you took the time to check out my Channel .

Thanks!

Hi Everyone

Been a while since I have posted. I wanted to say hi and hope everyone is doing well. The last time I think you all thought of me was when I ran Boston this year. I appreciated all of you for your prayers/concerns. I want to let you all know that I will be running Boston again next year.

My running is coming along pretty well this year. I have ran a total of 11 marathons this year, and I have my 12th one this upcoming Saturday. After this marathon, then I plan to train for more marathons/races in 2014. I now have a total of 13 states (that I ran marathons in):

Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Hawaii, Wisconsin, South Carolina, Tennessee, Massachusetts, Missouri, Kentucky, Virginia, Kansas, and Iowa.

Joe, hope you, and everyone here are doing great. Miss hearing you all. If you guys know of a marathon in a state that I haven't ran in, let me know and I will look into it to see if it works out for me to run in. Love you all.

Grant "Glitz Man"

P.S. You can also find me on Twitter, and on marathonguide.com for a list of marathons that I have ran this year and previous years, especially when I ran my first marathon. Lol, what a difference my times were, and my journey/experience still continues for me.

Hay guys. just to say this is my first time on this site, and am super Raved to be on here. As am sure to every one, Joe has been the guitar God in My life, That has alwas been up there musicly speaking. His music has Up lifed me to the highets hights, since i was 14, and first herd Flying in Blue dream, I love all of his albums, But I Think that one is still my favourate, as it was the first, Man the first time you hear the feed back, sores me to the top, of elation.

Am now 38 and have been trying to emulate Joe's Style and my own for 24 years. I have recently given up smoking, and have saved near £400, for a new guitar as i've been playing a squire for 17 years, along with my Takamine. So I was On a popular chat site and Saw this site, which shall be rename nameless for now, and they had loads of top of the range guitars on there for half the price, as they said they cut the tax out, and the shiping and got the guitars at hole sale price. There were Jems, 1000's, Les Pauls, the lot. So after checking out there site, forum and other second hand sites. I decided to Buy it. I think you can tell where this is going, I had to wait Two months from My Joe Satch 1000, and pay an extra shiping charge for Parcel force, of £50 to recive my £400 Rip off, floyed rose rip off trem, dose not work, ornament. the saddels to keep the string dont halod the strings, the paint job is wrong, the fine tunners dont work, and the guitar is dammaged, and is not a 1000. Am so gutted, as it took me a long time to save, but not just that, that money could have bought Food for my family, or Music books, swimming lessons for my 4 year old, a months rent, anything. but am just left with a hole in my pokect and a shattered chilld hood dream.

Grant, way to be, man! I ran 11 marathons also, but only in my mind. My marathons consisted of drinking Jagermeister and eating Martin's chips tho I did get the best time, so it's all good. ;-) Best wishes on everything you do! I raise my cup of chamomile tea to you sir!

Johnny B, sorry you got such a shit deal. The old saying goes, If it sounds to good to be true, it is!. Please mention the seller by name so's others don't fall into the same trap!

rayna, the best way to stay informed to to sign up for the newsletter, follow @Chickenfootjoe on Twitter, and Like Joe's facebook page. Also keep your eye on the tour page on this site. Since Joe just did a major tour it's prolly gonna be a bit before he goes out again.

And all y'all, if you haven't yet watched this video of the final show of the UM tour, watch it now! The sacrifice these guys made to travel the globe for US is commendable!

Hey peeps just checking in with y'all. Hope all is going well. Personally, Earth to Ashes is back to recording after taking October off. All the rhythm tracks will be done this month and solos start tonight. Hoping to get the CD out by March 2014. Also, we are opening for Fates Warning next month in Portland, OR so if anyone wants to go drop me a note. Other than I missed Joe on this tour. Slightly bummed about that but I'm glad people are turning out for his shows being as he is not just talented by a stand up guy. That's it for now. Have a great Week!!

Dear Joe, I have been amazed and endlessly pleasured by your playing since not of this earth. I grew up in garden city south,my first job was at an office furniture co where my dad worked. It was on glen cove rd in carle place near old country rd.did you live near that area?? I was born in 1953. I have shaken your hand about 7 times..... Always a pleasure, especially after watching you play ......@ the 930 club in DC you signed a couple of items for me,you commented on my ex jumbo sharpie...I said you could have it...and you gracefully accepted it with a sincere thank you.I am an executive chef @ univ. Of Florida.started playing drums @ 11 years old guitar shortly there after.learned many many a lead break with turntable on 16..in late 60s and early 70s.perfect 2 octave drop. Stair. To heav., heartbreaker by zep.a lot of Jeff beck, johnny winter,Alvin Lee. Guitar tab has taken the turntables place. I have actually learned brother john off Not of This Earth. And a couple of your amazing rolling pull off phrases that took forever to learn how to play them even slowly!!! I. Humbley ask if there any way in the whole wide world you might possibly tell me how you accomplish your trademark whammy bar ascensions that go to celestial outer space in musical note height. I realize this request might be in appropriate. Any info would be sincerely appreciated. Do I need 200 watts? Are they pinch harmonics, are they exact harmonics located above pickups I have a 97 ibanez rg 570.....love it. I have been a chef for over 30 years, fed meatloaf, the music guy that is...Mr.Clapton both in ft.Lauderdale some years ago.Donald rumsfeld sec.of defense at very high end country club where I was exec. Chef for 9 years in MD. If and when you and your staff are in Florida somewhat near Gainesville. I would cook and feed you guys with food that is as good as your playing! My treat. I wonder how old your oldest serious fan might be? I would imagine being 60 , I'm in the AARP. Category of you fan data base. Thank you Joe Glynn.
