I was listening to Chris Cornell's Songbook on the way home from work tonight. While looking at the Christmas lights I remembered how much my mom loved driving around just to look at lights. I cried all the way home. Out of the blue...it just ht me hard. Twenty months and sometimes it still seems like yesterday.

thanks all for the well wishes,
its been so tough the last week or so
oh just been looking and found out its been 4 years since I last picked up my guitar !!! holy S***** didn't realize its been so darn long.. just picked it up tonight, one of my friends from my old band wants to do some stuff together, I dunno if I can still play.. yikes ,where has the time gone????

Hey all you lovely peeps,,Its Ben ... first of all i must say that im from Alberta , Canada and am totally new to this site , Joe has been a great inspiration on me , ive seen him twice once in Edmonton in jan 2011 and in october this year in Calgary ..
i learnt basic guitar from a brilliant rock n blues guitarist from Cardiff , Wales called Ian Stewart, he came from Manitoba to Alberta in the early 90 's who taught me basic chords and strum picking on my very first acoustic guitar (Samick) in ' 97 he has played with various muscians such as Dire straits , Collin james etc .. Now he plays in duffy's taverns in jackson, Michighan since he has moved there ..
I ve watched many guitar players on t.v you tube , videos n such all the way from John lee hooker , Furry lewis , Freddie king ,Albert king , Buddy Guy , B.B King , Eric clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughn Jimmy Page ,Carlos Santana ,Pete townshend ,Alllan holdsworth ,Uli Jon Roth , Michael Schenker , Randy Rhoads, Ritchie Blackmore , Gary Moore, Joe Perry , Alix Lifeson , Jason Becker, Slash ,Zakk wylde , John Petrucci ,Paul Gilbert , Steve lukathar , Kirk Hammett, Yngwie Malmsteen , Eddie Van Halen , Steve Vai , Jack White , Eric Johnson , The Edge and many more.......
How ever Joe Satriani is the guitar God and the guru of Guitar ,, after Jimi Hendrix if theres anyone who has taken and pushed the envelope of guitar music further more , that without a doubt is Satriani ( the man ) .. Satriani has been a great influence on me since my first guitar, he is by far most talented guitar player alive,, Every note Joe plays is Vivid and has its own distinct meaning and a message sent to the crowd.
Just imagine if Hendrix was still alive and Satriani jammed with him live performance,,, would that ever be the show to watch...
I wish one day Joe could be my guitar / music teacher ..I know he would make the best guitar teacher for anyone...
Thankx Joe for setting such a great example for many peeps..

...hey man Im here were good just listen,I did a massive formula mx ride man Kansas and kentuck from here in apsley Ontario Canada man was satying in Kentucky with my girlfriend while I was raceing for team aaen man on thing I don't need is money well not if im well enough to go to action to the bank but usually with my dissabilty once it goes in I very rarely take any out unless im being mean they give me diaasbilty to sdtay alive because of im shy and sick not doing too much cmha meeting hes here we just hit the store and the postoffice needed meat and potatoes milk theire leaveing me alone middle of winter for 4 weeks Christmas holdiays I took care of it your good were good picked uyp my mail bank statement see how many fees I have from last month need to phone diasabilty tos ee when it will be in for the holidays im real sick from my ride man recovering massive ! .I was burning woofd ofr heat for over a week warmed up now electric wek dec week nov for heat wood stove that's it we cant talk again until the new year the library is closed to jan 2nd your fine lare wolfiantor.

Hello Joe!! My husband and I attended your show in Cincinnati OH, The Taft Theatre. You are amazing! I cried through most of it. You play with such emotion, and we had just lost our little 2 year old granddaughter in a house fire just 2 months prier. Just wanted to let you know your show touched my heart in a very special way. I would love to hear you play Somewhere over the rainbow, it is my favorite song.

Hello, Mr.Satriani ! Long days and pleasant nights.
My name is Oleg. Do you remebmer "meet and greet" session in A2 (07/09/2013 Saint-Petersburg, Russia) ? I gave you envelope with text on it and usb flash card inside. That USB contains message and demo of my instrumental track (Waning Moon).
I want to know if you read my message and listened to my piece of music.
