Hello Joe, My name is Dareena, but a very special nephew of mine likes to call me Auntie. My nephew's name is Matt French and he has been a huge fan of yours for a very long time. Matt was a very accomplished guitar player until he made a terrible and fatal choice to try heroin for the first time. He overdosed and we thought we had lost him forever. He has fought his way back to us, his only instrument now is his voice, he loves to sing! Matt has suffered severe brain damage. He is a quadriplegic and legally blind, but his hearing is very acute, and his passion to get well never falters. My sister, Matt’s mom is my hero! This family has been thru a lot of tragedy. Matt lost his only sister 7 years earlier to tongue cancer. She was only 21. It devastated us all……but I believe Matt was in pain, and looking for a way to ease it. He has hopes and dreams to still one day play his guitar and tell his story to young people in the hopes of helping them to make the right decisions regarding drugs and alcohol. As I said, Matt is your # 1 fan and my sister bought two tickets for Matt and his best mate to go to your upcoming Halifax, Nova Scotia concert.. I told him I have joined your website and that I will never give up trying to get you to meet him, and ever other day or so, he asks me if I have tried……….so here goes…..I really don’t know how to go about this. If you could just message me and we could take it from there……but please, consider meeting this amazing young man!! Cheers, Dareena xx

Hi Joe, my husband saw your show in Denver last night. He said it was great! We're flying to your show in Chicago on the 18th and it would awesome to see a grand finale of both you & Steve dueling your guitars together. Any chance that might happen? That would make my day!! Thanks, Cathy - aka Nutt

Good morning Joe, I am looking forward to your show in Grand Prairie tonight. I saw you at the Granada Theatre for your tour for Black Swans and Wormhole Wizards. I was in the front row and you called me out when I remembered each lick from “Memories” from your first album- Not of this Earth. I was the one who was doing air guitar the whole time. I also met you and got to ask you the question, what inspired you to use harmonica on Big Bad Moon. You replied your brother inspired you. Your new album is so good. I love Celebration and so many others. I am bringing a friend who has never seen you. He is in for a real treat. This will be my third time seeing you in TX. Tony Foster

Hi Joe, thanks for coming to Denver! This was my first concert of yours, even though I've been a fan since "Flying in a Blue Dream" came out. Growing up in the middle of nowhere in Arkansas and then spending most of military career overseas has been the main culprit in preventing me from seeing you live sooner.

Of the songs you played in Denver, I thought "Three Sheets to the Wind" was my favorite. That song is just so different from any other Satch song out there. I love how funky and utterly absorbing it is. It is far and away my favorite song on the new album.

Also, I was finally able to wrap my head around and embrace "Shine on American Dreamer" after seeing you perform it live. The footage shown behind the band made me think of Elon Musk and Tesla Motors and the music it supported made me feel optimistic about the future, as if perhaps our best days are yet to come. Our culture has been all doom and gloom for well over a decade now. Ragnarok and revelations are not right around the corner after all.

Hey man, sorry to ramble on, but thank you for your music and all the brilliant albums you've put out. Believe it or not, but I can think of a Satch song that captures just about every major phase of my life that I've been through. Finally seeing you live was a dream come true.

Cheers!

Hey Joe, TL Eldridge here in Dallas! I'm stoked for the show tonight! Really like that you bring out different players on your tours, but I will miss Jeff on drums! I'm a super fan of both of you although I know all your sidemen are awesome players!

Also never seen Steve Morse! Really happy you're touring with another kindred spirit!

Saw the brown Deluxe Amp you picked up! Very cool amps that can get a fat Marshall crunch when cranked! Do a cap job, put an old G12H in it and wha-la great studio amp!

Keep the music comin! TL

I am sooo looking forward to seeing you in the ATL on 9/15. I was diagnosed with cancer last year, have gone through the chemo and radiation not quite a year ago and this is my first special trip out of the house other than Dr. appts. in over a year. I can't think of a better way to celebrate an evening. You have always been my very favorite guitar player and I have followed your career for years. I have been keeping tabs on what you have been playing on this tour. I know it's alot to ask but if there is anyway you could play "Always With Me Always With You" it would mean alot to me. While I was so sick I could put the headphones on and get lost in your guitar. It would always make me feel better. If this isn't possible I do understand. Just seeing you will be a very special night for me. I wish for you and those you love the best there is in life.

I have been a fan for a long time and finally got to see you play live in Arizona less than a week ago. What a fantastic show! It was great to have Steve Morse there as well. I figured since you have played all the big cities in the west you would come to Salt Lake, but since it wasn't on the schedule (again), I decided to fly to Arizona to see you there. It would be great if you could come here in the future, I have two teenage sons who are fans and fellow musicians who really want to see you play. Thanks for all the great music and musical inspiration you give to us mere mortal musicians!

JOE, THIS JUST A LITTLE PART OF MY LIFE. BACK IN 1998 MY FATHER WAS IN THE SOUTH SIDE MEDICAL CENTER IN AUSTIN, AND EVERYTIME THAT MY BROTHERS AND I WOULD VISIT HIM I WOULD ALWAYS PLAY FLYING IN A DEEP BLUE DREAM . BECAUSE IN EVERYTHING THAT WAS A PART OF MY FATHER WAS TOTALLY EMAPARTED IN ME. AND YOUR MOMENT IN TIME ,YOUR SONG REFLECTED ALL OF OUR EMOTIONS AND JUST WHAT WE WISHED FOR HIS PASSING TO BE! FLYING IN A DEEP BLUE DREAM!!!!! AND THE DAY THAT YOU WILL BE PLAYING IT WILL BE HIS 74TH BIRTHDAY. SO IF YOU COULD KINDA WHISPER TO THE HEAVENS . LET MR. CORPUS KNOW THAT HIS SON STILL WIPES AWAY EVERY FALLING TEAR WHEN HE HEARS HIS NAME . AND WHEN YOU PLAY YOUR SONG .

..Show in ScottsDale was amazing. .. The new material is unreal live, and sets are strong and diverse, with some surprises I think. The band behind Satch is so over the top it's unbelievable. To get Joe out on tour with this band, performing new material is a blessing for 2013. One very cool aspect is the front-projection screen show/movie used during portions of the show. All pieces of JS, past and present plus some really cool takes on JS art. Steve Morse and his band were terrific, fast&loud. Joe really performs this new material amazingly, it's a must-see tour. Michelle is going to dig this. All is well with everyone out on tour, and thanks Mick!

OMG. I am just floored. Houston concert was so unbelievable. Joe was feeling every note as he just wrote it. Joe you are a true true artist. I really know how to perform for an audience and you know you have to touch every one of them with every move you make or note. I grow in an opera house with my ballerina mom in Turkay and trained in Hungarian Dance Academy. I am classically trained ballet dancer, danced for Houston Ballet Company long time. I know the value of live performance and know that's the real magic for the audience and for the performer and how the perfection and being in the moment and feeling the audience matters so much. I hope I gave what you needed as how I felt. I just wanted to may be remind you again how your performance was so eternal to experience. Thank you so very very much. And Zófika hogy ha Joe nem küld videót a barátodnak nem baj. Boldog szüli napot Fercsi! Küldök üdvözlet Joe tol előadást után.
