Hi Joe,

Thank you for all the wonderful music. Fan since the beginning...inspired by HOW you achieved your success...appreciate the sincerity. I am in a different profession, but I play as a hobby and get inspired by people who stay true to themselves and not just chase money. Ironically, I think that the money eventually comes anyway. Other bands that I feel are in the same category: Rush, Tool, and others I may not know. Each time you put out a new album, I immediately buy it...like Rush and Tool and APC. I still can't stop playing the new album, especially "door into summer". Wow! Best wishes for the year...look forward to the US tour

Anyone knows how does the chrome dome works? All the studio recordings are there? Is like a normal USB with data? Where do I put those. Thanks!

ARSOSA - The Chrome Dome set is all the music from the box set in digital format on a USB drive. So you'd probably load the songs onto your computer and then load them onto your MP3 player or whatever you're using to listen. They're high-resolution files (24-bit), so if you don't have a high-end system you'll have to convert them down to 16-bit on your computer.

Has anyone else here preordered that? I don't think I can justify the high price when the collector in me can be happy with the CD box set for less than $80 on Amazon (even though the upgrade in sound quality with the USB set is tempting).

Also, has anyone found a track listing for the bonus disc? Even if you play it safe and go with Additional Creations plus Slick, The Eight Steps, Tumble, Dog With Crown And Earring, Ghosts, Heartbeats, and Longing, that only comes to about 50 minutes.

...Austin...

Cuth's Conversation Starters

So...what's everybody think about...

The goings on in Ukraine?

Canada's hockey gold?

Dame Judi's chance at an Oscar?

Philip Seymour Hoffman's untimely demise?

The apparent never-ending winter in most of the U.S.?

Your private navel lint collection?

Anything?

Hi Joe, Have you ever noticed that the music in the 1996 arcade game "Alpine Racer 2" sounds a lot like your 1992 song "Summer Song"? Did Namco (the video game company) ever give you royalties for this? Just wondering...Keep on rockin'!

So...this happened once upon a time.

Cuth, nice vid. Here's one from a show I saw a few months back Can't Change Me. This was a fun one - Hotel California.

As for the never ending winter, well...it's never ending. The storm coming tomorrow into Monday is supposed to bring 6 - 12 inches of snow. That's gonna land on the foot+ we already have laying out there that hasn't melted from the 9 previous snowstorms. Warm temps last weekend melted some of it, but there's a whooole lot still left. I'm cool with it. It looks so pretty, thought it's a trip driving to work in the muck. lol! I looked like this after the last storm.

Unfortunately it also looked like this.

I've been listening to this and this on a mix cd that's about an hour long. Nice and relaxing to just rock yer head and smile for a bit.

My 12 year old son recently did a science project which had an audio visual presentation with it of him stripping down a petrol engine. To make it more interesting he added 'Summer Song' as the background for it and submitted it to school. He is learning drums and loves Satriani! I posted this on Facebook but they removed it saying it contained copyright material (which I guess technically it does). This has been a great project for him and I want to know if I can get Joe's permission to post this video of him doing the project with Summer Song as the backing to it (I can send you the Windows Movie Maker File to see it if you want to)?

Thanks

Hey guys,

Is there another song with the title "Moshkill"? I haven’t seen one. Would be surprising if no one’s done it before me.

Here’s my video if you’re curious -http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ANa8uD3ZBU

Well played, sir, well played.

Regarding Kiev, I've heard (but not yet attempted to verify/refute) rumors that many among the protestors were tightly affiliated with what are, in effect, neo-Nazi or fascist groups. Anyone know more?

Edit: Here's a link to that effect http://www.alternet.org/tea-party-and-right/us-backing-neo-nazis-ukraine

'twas all melted here, we have a bit more now; recently heard that our 7"-11" forecast was being cut to 2"-4".

Personally, I'm quite sick of it. Told Mrs. C I have been officially cured of any desire I ever had to move to Alaska.

I've always enjoyed CC's covers...neat to hear his interpretations, especially when he remembers the lyrics ;?)

Here's another good one I hit recently: Redemption Song Here's another one

& as i agree about the crash point, let's goin on : Steve playing tribute to Jimi : Cherry Vanilla

Don't want to get people wrong here. Just think that Steve Stevens is a geniune old school alien player, with a killing feeling. Serioulsy more brillant than several shredders. Too much underated _ a master of an art dying on the vine.

Hello Mr. Satriani. I hope you're fine. My name is Mauricio, I'm from Venezuela. I have 37 years old, I play bass and guitar since 1993, I follow your work since Surfing Whit The Alien Album, and I have all yours albums. I decided to write you because I notice that in all yours live records you always play a bit of Blues improvisation between songs. I'm a big fan of Blues too, so I wonder if you thought about recording an album of own Blues songs but in your own style of course? I think it would be a big hit among yours fans and also between the blues lovers. I hope you think of this. Thank you very much for reading this. Hope you are fine. Greetings.
