Here's one for the Gipper -

STUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!

Hope he's a-okay soon.

Austin, The Bombastic Meatbats play at the Baked Potato every now and then. Have you ever caught one of their shows? I highly recommend it if you can!

This is a good one - The Winery Dogs & Vinnie Paul with Yngwie on That Metal Show. Good stuff!

TMS was whack..5 desert island LPs not one satch pick, at least the chick had a Professor shirt..anyway it was good to see Joe getting into Yngwie too..otherwise it blew..I just don't like Trunk and those other guys..i'm sorry.

also I was curious if in the box set there are bonus tracks on each recording..? or one disc with all of them..? or is it just the AC disc? Turkey Man kills!

Hello Joe, Saw you in Vancouver last year. That was awesome! The last time I saw you live was in Quebec City at l'Agora during the FIABD tour... a long time indeed...

Here's a question for you, do you remember the ad where you were floating up in the air? There was 3 guitars, a black one, white one and a silver one. At the time, I actually framed this picture! What was the product you were sponsoring?

I am trying to find a store where to try out the JS2410 (Muscle Car Orange). Hard to find in Canada for some reason... I want it!

Cheers, Jeff

Joe / webmaster Jon - Can one of you let us know the track listing for the bonus disc of the box set? The collector in me will buy the set regardless, but it'd be good to know the specifics of what's included before the release date. Thanks!

michelle - Funny you should bring that up...I'm FINALLY seeing the Bombastic Meatbats later this month. I've tried many times in the past and it just hasn't worked out. But now I'm psyched...the show is Friday 4/25.

Austin -

“There's a remix of Time Machine, the title track of that album. There's new mixes of the original version of Cool #9 and Luminous Flesh Giants, which features Eric Valentine on drums and doing various other things. Some of the elements from those tracks were incorporated into the semi-live studio version for the eponymous release – like power chords or some string tracks – but we have the original versions there.

“We have the remastering of the rock mix or radio mix versions of Borg Sex and Flavor Crystal 7 with Jeff Campitelli on drums. We have the original techno mix of Until We Say Goodbye, the version that was removed from Engines Of Creation in favor of the rock mix – just crazy, right?

“We have a remastering of Turkey Man, which is a bizarre recording that has to be credited as being written by Eric and myself. That was part of the original Additional Creations bonus CD that was a giveaway at the time when Engines came out.

“With some bonus tracks, Slick, The Eight Steps, Dog With Crown & Earring, Tumble, Ghosts, Heartbeats, Longing, and then an alternative version of Z.Z.'s Song that had these… we used to call them whale noises. I think that Eric Caudieux may have added them at my request. This goes back to the Crystal Planet final sessions. We were all wondering, ‘Should it just be Joe playing his guitar or should we add whale noises, those funny little things?’ I think that was Eric’s take on the embryonic journey.

“In the end, we decided no funny noises. I believe that was Mike Fraser’s call: ‘Get those noises out of there. Just Joe's guitar!’”

“I put on anything that I thought never got its fair shake, stuff like Cool #9, Luminous, Eric's original mix of Until We Say Goodbye and all the other stuff that got left off of Bonus Tracks. I just thought, ‘Why hold it back?’ I'm completely surprised, over and over again, by fans coming up to me and saying, ‘Man, Turkey Man is my favorite song.' I'm totally blown away by that. I remember Glyn Johns once said to me, ‘It's not your job to decide what people should like. Your job is to play your guitar.’ So if you remember those things, all those famous quotes and sayings, they sort of keep you moving forward. They help to inform you as to how to step out of your own way in projects like this.”

The end solo on this track is some of the tastiest licks I've heard in awhile. I got hooked to a band called Big Wreck back in the 90s when they opened up for Joe in Toronto for Joe's self titled album "The Luminous Flesh Tour"

Yay to us hey Skippygirl!! I missed joes last tour down under, had family stuff happening and was not able to go.

thanks again Joe!!

if my mum and dad were alive they would have been married for 64 years this past weekend... its been 3 months since my father passed away. I know time heals and such but you still never get used to them not being around.. folks if you have your parents still around, give them a hug and tell them you love them, even if things aren't good between you do it any way cause you never know when they might not be around..

my mate and I have been writing some great new songs, hopefully for an album later in the year or early next. last album was 14 years ago!! long time between drinks.....

Dear Joe, I really knew your music recently, and I like it very much. I am contacting you to ask your permission for using one of your songs in a video clip that I am going to record. I am going to use the video clip in a crwd-funding campaign asking for support for a social project concerning epilepsy. The target of the project is to ameliorate the life quality of people suffering epilepsy. I will be very glad to have your permission. Your name, if you agree, will be shown in the video clip and also in followings steps of the project. The song I would like to use is "Home". Thank you very much for your support. Hey Joe Clarence here

I recently heard you playing and i'm very inspired by you and by the style you play. Being a professional guitarist is my goal in life but i'm still not at that level. Please tell me what do i practice.

I also want to purchase a JS signature guitar and collecting money for that as i want to buy it with my own earnings. Please suggest me which guitar i should buy.

Waiting for your reply Thank you

Kudos and adieu Mr. Satriani, Forgive the formalities but I am Fifty nine years old and raised in the military so formality is and was a given...that said, I want to thank you for the years of beautiful eclectic sound. As with most of your fans I also am a guitar enthusiast...( I began lessons at the age of five)...

I will forgo the endless chatter about my life but suffice it to say, I have enjoyed many mentors in my day, from the Everly Brothers, Andre Segovia, Al Diemloa, Jeff Beck, Lee Pickens, Mark Farner,

My personal favorite and early inspiration,( the indubitable Jimmy Page), Ronnie Montrose, Johnny Winter, Joe Walsh, so many more and that brings me to you...

I have absorbed all of your work since the first I heard "flying in a blue dream". Hooked ever since. Your melodies are well, melodic, rhythms, constant not over powering, mix is fabulous, and the music...well...transcends time, space, and energy...

We guitarist borrow licks from other guitarist and to me as a guitarist playing back up for Charlie Daniels and Nantucket, it has always been an honor when other guitarist rush to the stage to see how you do it, get that sound, do that lick, what are you playing through, make that noise... Ah war stories.... Those were the days....

Now I must bid you farewell and wish you the best of days for your tours...I've seen you three times...all here in Myrtle Beach SC!!! Thank you sir.

PS I also have art work I'd like to send you..after all you are the subject...where may I submit my paintings, and photos?
