Lateralus46and2: yeah, that's fun! And as I play bass (try to...)
I sometimes play with my son:
http://youtu.be/lvCQ9ZlvHsI (last year)
http://youtu.be/P4X1s2OoPa8I
http://youtu.be/KzrR81LFrmEI

I try to give him a good overall education! We went to see ZZTop a few weeks ago, Slash in November (as a gift for his very good year at school, guitar, and also violin)

Thanks again for your advice, I will translate! (His teacher will indeed teach him the detailed scales after summer break)

Nicolas

Hi Joe

You may not remember me but last year I met you at Colston Hall in Bristol, England.

I told you that I couldn't afford to buy your new guitar at that moment in time, the 2410, but could afford a orange pen and asked you to sign my jacket !

Well, just recently I have become the proud owner of an Ibanez 2410.

I just wanted to let you know that I wanted to drop the action a little and wanted to loosen the stud lock bolt, the one on the inside of the stud bolt, only to find that the Allen key supplied with the guitar fitted the one bolt but not the other, on closer inspection it seemed like the hexagon shaped head had been rounded off !

I contacted Thomann in Germany and they requested photographs of the said bolts and have just recently sent me 2 prepacakged stud bolt assemblies !

I tried the Allen key and they are exactly the same as the ones already on the guitar and am beginning to think that it could be a manufacturing problem and wanted to let you know because you play and endorse this particular Ibanez guitar !

Also, the Allen key that is a tight fit on the one stud lock bolt doesn't turn !

I think Ibanez needs to know about this problem so as to correct any manufacturing/quality control issue !

I understand Joe that once the action is set to the desired height it never really needs to be touched, it's just that this issue is disturbing on a guitar of this calibre !

I hope you don't mind me bringing this to your attention !

Love what you do Joe, I've never copied what you do but am immensely inspired by what you do !

Regards

Peter

Heeeey JOE, I remember Roy Clark from Hee Haw back in the day when I was a kid, but I forgot he could play like this!

They don't make shows like they used to - The Banana Splits. If this was on tv for the kids today, I'm sure the hashtag would be...

WAWAN SOLO..

Bass sweeps sound sick!

I love minor sweeps. D minor is my fav. Sounds sweet!

Be warned.. Sweeps make you doubt yourself!!!! I couldn't do it to save my life. I'm getting better at it now thank god!!

Love to hear Satch do more sweeps.

Don't need 24 frets. Just play scales over and over and over and over..... and over and over... haha

BTW.

What was Satch's Set List to the show you went to?

Zoom3, It wasn't because I won it, but unfortunately due to last minute work related stuff I couldn't take the flight to Barcelona, so I couldn't attend to the concert. I emailed the tourm anager hoping if they can pick someone else to replace me. I removed my attendance on this site and then the aftershow winners appeared as "not selected yet".

I'm very disappointed because I really wanted to go to the concert, and then when I was selected for the aftershow I couldn't believe it how lucky I was, but then ...

I hope the concert was great.
