Hi Joe,

Hope you are well. I'm from the UK and love playing guitar and writing my own music. Recently I've decided to really try, to accomplish this year, achieving one of my main goals in life, playing with those guitarists who have and continue to inspire me. Your an inspiration and I hope to get to play guitar with you someday. I've worked on and uploaded my original song to YouTube. Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qdVd7dzz4a0

Would be awesome to know what you think.

Thank you Matthew

Attn: Joe Satriani From: Marshall Rayford Re: Seeking permission to use your song in a kickstarter video

Mr. Satriani, Surfing with the Alien has been one of my favorite songs for over 20 years. I chose it ten years ago as the theme song in a presentation video to investors in an attempt to sell them on a thrill ride concept. The thrill ride is a sphere that rotates independently inside of another sphere, which roles down a flume. I have not been successful in receiving the $35 Million dollars required to build the attraction, so I have decided to start selling my artwork of the concept instead, with the hopes of getting the attention from someone who can help with the real thing. I am planning on launching a kickstarter campaign to raise awareness and funds of my new online company which sells coloring books, posters and puzzles of my images. I would like to use Surfing with the Alien as the background music of the video for the campaign. If you would like to check out my website to see what we are all about, please see www.radicalbubble.com. I would be forever grateful if you would grant me permission to use your awesome song. I have included your name at the beginning of the video and in the end credits as well. I would like to send you a copy of the original video and the new one for the kickstarter campaign so you can see what we are trying to do. I can be reached at 815-281-1923 Thank You Marshall Rayford

Well.. I'm truly humbled and indeed honored to win the 2nd place in the poster contest! Here then is the "backstory" that I concocted to go along with my vision:

"This is one artist's impression of supernova 1990JS, an exploding guitarist in the galaxy 'Dreaming In A Blue World' whose light reached us 25 years ago. The supernova originated in a double-guitarist system where one member was a massive guitarist that exploded after siphoning most of its hydrogen envelope to its companion guitarist. After two decades, astronomers have at last identified the blue helium-burning companion guitarist, seen at the center of the expanding nebula of debris from the supernova. The NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope identified the ultraviolet glow of the surviving companion embedded in the fading glow of the Shockwave Supernova."

hi Joe, i just read about the G4 experience.

You should bring this amazing project in Italy; here in Tuscany there are a lot of nice farm holidays or b&b among the Tuscan hills.

let me know if you need any contact or information to set the G4 experience here.

bye!

Hi guys/Joe. I'm hoping any one of you can help me out with an annoying technical problem I'm having. I'm trying to work on sweeping and I'm using a budget Ibanez. The issue is that when I reach the high strings at speed, the palm of my hand keeps nudging the volume knob down slightly. It's driving me crazy! Lol! If I'm looping an arpeggio, I have to flick the volume back with my pinky at regular intervals. I've tried moving my hand but in order to avoid it completely I have to play virtually over the neck, and it feels really awkward because I'm used to resting my palm on the bridge. Is the solution just to get a new guitar, or is there any way I can fix the volume setting in place? Maybe glue it or something? I know nobody is here to answer stuff like this, but I would be grateful if someone would help a brother out. Peace.

Hey Joe!... My name is John Fletcher President/Founder of The Cluster Headache Foundation in the U.S. We are the #1 site in the world for Cluster Headache information. I am a huge fan of your music! We are on a mission to cure Migraine, Cluster and all disabling head pain diseases and are working with the right people and organizations to make it a reality. We are starting a music campaign in October with the Little River Band who is onboard with our project.

We are going to do big name band benefit concerts for at least two or more years to help us fund the efforts for the cures to these horrific diseases, spread awareness and help end the suffering of so many. Cluster Headaches are the most painful disease ever known and we want to see it end. We have a new medicine were working on the first in 370 years since this disease was recognized. Not a single medication has ever been made to help the 7 million sufferers worldwide.

The most painful disease ever known and not a single medicine to end the horrific suffering. We are going to change the faces of these diseases and gain the respect that we have never had because of a disease with the name "Headache" Attached to it.

We want to recruit Green Day for their Migraine song and put together a 5 band world tour called "The Headbanger World Tour For Cluster & Migraine Warriors". We are going to ask besides yourself... Def Leopard, Green Day, Led Zeppelin and Metallica. Chances are we will have to look at other bands but these are the first we are going to talk to.

We are very serious about this and would hope you can pass along the information to see if the band is interested in helping us. The Headbanger World Tour For Cluster & Migraine Warriors IS COMING... Please join us... contact info on "About Us" on the website The reason I write to you here is we wanted everyone to know what we are going to do... John Fletcher
