Lateralus46and2 - Buckethead has been suggested quite a few times on here for G3. I watched the video >=:) left a comment.

to not have time for Paul Gilbert is a real shame :( The Echo Song

BIG BUNNY..

Echo song was good.

Cannot tell a lie.. Sound a lot like Vai in this one. Nice song though.

Still not convinced! He's great, don't get me wrong but something's missing for me. That signature sound maybe!

Buckethead for sure in the G3, Kirk Hammett and of course Mr. Edward Van Halen. Tell me you built a Frankentstrat too... I got mine!

Gonna bump my Set List for Satch otherwise he won't read it.

Hi Satch,

My ultimate wish set list...

1. LORDS OF KARMA - My favorite track of all time.. Please play with an extended outro with LOTS of harmony

2. NOT OF THIS EARTH - A must live.. with a lot of bass!!

3. I BELIEVE - My partner's favorite track.. she's coming too

4. BANANA MANGO II - Much darker than the first

5. RUBINA - Album version please. The PH in the solo!! Have seen all live versions in youtube but you never do the PH. Also a slow tempo version would really set the mood

6. LOVE THING - I can play it too!!

7. THINKING OF YOU - I'm still trying to figure out how you play the trill bit..

8. CANT SLOW DOWN - Definitely an awesome vocal track

9. COOL 9 - 1996 G3 Version - Very bluesy and does sound very different

Thank you

It's a beautiful track.

Judging by your favourite Satch song and the Paul Gilbert recommendations from you, you're into ballads right?

How 'bout Vai's Hand on Heart? Or Satch's Thinking of you.. especially the 2'nd solo. That part always gets to me.

I'm not that into ballads, for example I also love 'House Full of Bullets' and bang my head along with it >=;)

I love Vai's ballad 'Feathers' & 'Mulloch Atsi' (sp?).

I haven't listened to Time Machine for awhile, that's where 'Thinking of you' is on, right?

Hey Joe, i am happy you are going to be in germany this year again. But why do you book 3 venues in a radius of 50km/miles? It is so hard to get to your concerts or others, because they are so far away, each over 300km/miles. I live in bavaria, middle, near nuremburg. There seems to be a hole where no band of the world wants to play. But hey, Andy Timmons was playing somewhere near this winter, in the middle of nowhere in a small Bar. So i shouldn't need to complain so much. Please consider a more widespread venue approach for the future. Chances might get higher for all people to come have some fun. Thanks. I hope you don't mind hearing my thoughts. Looking forward to the concert. All the best, spr.

Hi Joe, I'm new fan. I just bought your book "The Secrets of Guitar". Thank you its THE BEST electric guitar book I have ever come across. Any chance would you have a website that you offer online guitar lessons or schooling that you only teach? I'm 30,been playing for 16 years on and off. Ear and tab trained by myself. Love Hendrix, Robert Johnson, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Randy Rhoads, Petrucci, Malmsteen. I also love jazz and classical music. Finally 4 weeks ago I got inspired and starting taking a strong interest to music theory, reading music, major minor and modes. I started retraining myself in those area. Do you have classes and or lessons that I may subscribe (paid or not paid doesn't matter). I have this very strong overwhelming urge to master the guitar for a really long time. Anyway sorry so long. Feels like you would understand though. Thanks for your time. Best Regards Paul... --

WAWAN SOLO..

That's awesome. Father and son thing I like it..

If anything, tell him to practice the Gmajor scale from open all the way down to 24. It's the most common scale used IMO..GABCDEF#G . I'm not a fan of C Major. And alternate picking. But the way you hold the pick is crucial.

Lateralus46and2: yeah, that's fun! And as I play bass (try to...)
I sometimes play with my son:
http://youtu.be/lvCQ9ZlvHsI (last year)
http://youtu.be/P4X1s2OoPa8I
http://youtu.be/KzrR81LFrmEI

I try to give him a good overall education! We went to see ZZTop a few weeks ago, Slash in November (as a gift for his very good year at school, guitar, and also violin)

Thanks again for your advice, I will translate! (His teacher will indeed teach him the detailed scales after summer break)

Hi Joe

You may not remember me but last year I met you at Colston Hall in Bristol, England.

I told you that I couldn't afford to buy your new guitar at that moment in time, the 2410, but could afford a orange pen and asked you to sign my jacket !

Well, just recently I have become the proud owner of an Ibanez 2410.

I just wanted to let you know that I wanted to drop the action a little and wanted to loosen the stud lock bolt, the one on the inside of the stud bolt, only to find that the Allen key supplied with the guitar fitted the one bolt but not the other, on closer inspection it seemed like the hexagon shaped head had been rounded off !

I contacted Thomann in Germany and they requested photographs of the said bolts and have just recently sent me 2 prepacakged stud bolt assemblies !

I tried the Allen key and they are exactly the same as the ones already on the guitar and am beginning to think that it could be a manufacturing problem and wanted to let you know because you play and endorse this particular Ibanez guitar !

Also, the Allen key that is a tight fit on the one stud lock bolt doesn't turn !

I think Ibanez needs to know about this problem so as to correct any manufacturing/quality control issue !

I understand Joe that once the action is set to the desired height it never really needs to be touched, it's just that this issue is disturbing on a guitar of this calibre !

I hope you don't mind me bringing this to your attention !

Love what you do Joe, I've never copied what you do but am immensely inspired by what you do !

Regards

Peter
