Hi gang, long time no talk :) Life has been overly busy for us here but I'm still around, reading and thinking of folks. Ran across this:

new song by Davy Knowles

and loved it!! Has anyone else heard it yet? Or am I just late to the party? I thought I heard Davy had a new album out too, but can't find it to buy if so. Anyone in the "know" out there??

Headed into fall here, nice blustery, rainy, Pooh-kind-of-day :) I love fall! My wee mum has moved into an assisted living place, she just couldn't live alone anymore, so we did the big move, had the bigger estate sale and now have the property up for sale. I pray it sells before winter sets in. It's been a ton of work but at least she has care 24/7 now and I see her every day. We both still miss my dad so much, been almost 2 years that he's gone now...but are muddling along. Life does go on.

Oh HEY! Chris was an extra in a movie! It was big excitement around here, Brother In Laws was shot in and around K Falls for about 6 weeks and he made it on set as a "background actor" (say that with a snobby accent, LOL!) It stars Bill Pullman and Rita Wilson, and some of the cast from Saturday Night Live. He even made the local paper in a picture or two. What an experience it was and we can't wait for the movie to come out next year to see if we can spot him for .05 seconds, LOL!! Good times man!!

We are hoping for a really harsh winter here this year, and probably for the next 4-5 years. Been so incredibly dry we've lost a lot of our beautiful lakes...down to 0-10% capacity in many cases. I don't know if they'll ever recover properly...or if we'll get the desperately needed snow.

Enough babble from me...I hope everyone is well and happy. Hiya Joe, I see you're back on the road again :) Hard working as usual! We love ya!!

Later gang....T-bone.....

Hey Joe, I was thinking allot lately and thought I have to say thanks to you. On Oct 4 you had come to Moncton NB, what makes that a big deal you may ask. I had lost my mother that February and then had a heart attack and open heart surgery that July so needless to say I was really depressed. When you came to Moncton, we rushed out to get our tickets, jump forward to day of the concert I'm just starting to get back on my feet from the surgery and very excited, and finally upbeat and ready for your show. With everything that I had been through I felt like your show was brought to town just for me. When the show came to a close, you were throwing picks to the crowd I said to my wife that we were too far to gett one but then suddenly I was hit in the chest, I looked down and there was a pick, it was like I was meant to get it.....Thanks Joe for that night, really lifted my spirits and I forgot my issues for a little bit while you took us flying in a blue dream.

All the Best, please hurry back to Moncton NB.

richjul2vai4 - I know! It's been such a long wait. Watching all those Chickenfoot and solo tours happen on the other side of the world had been killer, but at last I get to see 2 Joe solo shows and I cannot wait.

T - Bone - great to hear from you! Am glad you and Chris are going well. Davy Knowles has a fab new album out called The Outsider - it's lovely Davy stuff. He did a crowdfunding campaign so those of us who contributed have had the digital download and I think it will be on itunes soon. He has revamped his website too so the forum is up and running again. I have my fingers crossed that he is coming out to Oz next year.

Happy Friday and happy weekend everyone.

T-Bone, Pastures of Plenty is on "Davy Knowles - Vol 1. Tributes". The new one as Skippy said is The Outsider. It's on his Pledgemusic.com thingy. I got the email on the 19th and just now opened it thanks to Skippy's reminder (TY Skip!). I'm listening to The Outsider now.

Soooo....sounds like there's no way to buy Davy's new album just yet? I don't want it from iTunes...I want an actual cd. I'll try to keep my eyes and ears open for when it goes on sale :)

Just found out one of my high school friends passed away in January. We had lost touch for many years, but then "found" each other on facebook. She was living in Denver, CO....and was my age. I dunno what happened....but am sad. Love yer friends and family every chance you get peeps!!

Also just got back from a weekend up in Corvallis, OR...Fall Festival time. It was lovely and a nice get-a-way for a coupla days.

Hey Joe,

With regards to your upcoming visit to Singapore for your World Tour could you perhaps provide your Singapore fans with the time of your flight arrival so we could welcome you to our country? :)

Could you also please play "God is Crying" as one of the songs in your show. It would be totally awesome :)

Your loyal fan, Janan

Hi Joe, I would like to know a curiosity about their music. I noticed that the name of their songs are sung by guitar in the beginning or end of musical phrases or choruses, or the bases of guitar. Do you this in all their songs or just some? Best Regards

Hello Joe & Fans!

Joe! I wanted to let you know that I have been reading your book and found the writings very inspiring and enlightening. I've always wondered how it was for you during each one of those records and recording sessions. The music has a diverse path over the years and it is very, very neat to have your perspective from the backend.

I just released a solo project of my own 2 days ago. Much of my playing is inspired by you, with many modern and orchestral techniques throughout. In addition to the music, I recorded a full album playthrough using my GoPro camera to capture the record during its creation in my home studio. You can stream it (in HD1080!) on Youtube here:

Hey Joe,

Desperately seeking for some music that would suit my activity, I fell in love with your album "Flying in a blue dream". I do practice guitar since around 15 years and have been hooked by your way of playing. Could you please have a look at the following youtube video: Zone-000-experience... ... and let me know if you authorize me to keep it on? In the case of any impossibility (can happen), I would remove it immediately, but to be honest I'm more looking forward to something like "hey! I got something that would even better fit to play there..." ;-)

In any case after my 76x listening to the album, I really have to go back for a 77th...

Cheers & please allow us continue to dream on the sound coming out of your fingers...
