Guitarmans Girl, Im saddend for your loss of your husband, after just loosing my mum to dementia we can kinda releate , The people on this site even with the occasional fighting can be really great at helping you go thru what ever life throws at you. you can also be happy to know that even tho Joe doesnt say much on the site, but when he does say something It means a lot to the people he's saying it too, if that makes any sense, its certanly helped me out the last few days knowing that my guitar hereo Joe Satriani cares about his fans , something most top40 rapper wanna bee's could take a lesson or two from ..

Joes music also has a heart and soul too it, especially some of his mellow stuff which I find just cruising to in my car a good way of relaxing.. feel free to keep posting here.. hugs to you and family.

gotta have joe , hope things are ok your end. I know this is a scary time , Hang in there, thats what you guys have been telling me to the last few months., so Im returning the favor...

gotta have Joe big hugs to you , we dont have thanks giving down under, we do have BBQ's and beer tho, not that I drink.. thats good news about your mum talking and stuff, would take a load off your mind

Satriella those guitars should go well, that very far one on the right, light blue looks like one of mine,(but mines lefthanded) my lefthanded samic guitar ps only trouble is if they have a tremelo system they do go out of tune, they dont have locking trems like my ibanez also Stevee T is right about the Fender Squire Stratocasters,

oh the name Milo is my aussie net name on car forums its after the aussie food drink milo, if any one is familar with that

Guitarmans Girl some times a fresh start is good, my dad and I are thinking about moving up to sydney as our family are all up there, at some stage, see how things go

its my mums birthday today she would have been 82 today Happy birthday mum , I'll always remember you..

Annie , I like that little verse, I might post that on my website if ok with you.. that is kinda how I am at the moment, its like when I went shopping this morning , the rest of the world was going about its usual way. people were chatting, laughing and kids screaming in the background.. I felt like telling them al to shut up. but I bit my tounge and just did what I had to do to get the heck out of there,

I think my nerves im a nervous wreck , tuesday night ( day of the funeral) I spent most of it by the toilet, I dont drink or anything like that so I cant compare it to a hang over, I think I finally fell asleep by 4 am ..

now there playing all those christmas carols on the radio,tv etc Its driving me freeking nuts, so I put Joe on instead.. Sometimes I think Ive lost it, want to screem at the world and say why the heck isnt anyone care that my mums gone? it hurts so much.. My mum and I had a tight bond, it was funny I was 3 years old , had verious heart operations etc and wasnt responding to any medications or any thing like that.

they said (the docs) to mum to take me for walks etc, that didint work , so she took me for a drive in the big V8 falcon Xy (aussies will know about that) she turned on the radio and I jumped up and wanted to play with the dials, then all is ok I went home a few days later..

My mum taught me how to drive, how to cook my mum gave me my first accoustic guitar, my first electric guitar, she took me to lessons after school etc

I could talk to my mum about any thing and every thing , you name it we were tight...

How am I supposed to tell the world how I feel about all this , I knew it was going to happen, that this dementia was cruel but the best thing for her was to pass on to the next life..

I just dont know ... it hurts I do know that..

123shred

Im lefthanded , and play left handed. I play an Ibanez 320 L which means lefty .. if you can play right handed it would be better cause you do have more of a choice in guitars, I know from experiance buying lefty guitars are usually dearer than rightys..

my guitar pics oh Milo is my aussie nick name..

any way its totoally up to if you play lefty or righty..

hope that helps

cosmic_ape yeah we lefties are descriminated against like every couple of years our local music shop has a night where they show case all the new guitars, pedals etc with some dude comming down and playing them , and you reckon they have one lefty guitar at all??? NOPE not one ... every single time... but not much you can do about it??

Blue Moon?? you got a case of the Boobies??

any way, been taking some time out playing my xbox360, I also have a ps2 and psp... my dad always goes nuts at me, especially cause I love the wrestling so much, any way been playing WWE smackdown Vs Raw 2007 , its an awsome game..

have got need for speed carbon , but I cant really play it, get car sick...

I think Ill tell my family I dont want to do christmas this year.. just really not up to it.. I am slowely going back to church, may play there again , dont know if i will tho.. they have been good to me in this time..

But I dunno if Ill be hanging around there during christmas. just too hart breaking..

G'day Joe, hope the aussie trip goes well, sorry Im not gonna be at sydney on friday night.. you know joe, I really miss my mum.. Driving home from church tonite, found myself talking to her, used to talk to God but now I talk to mum, I go to church not for the yada relegion stuff or what the preacher preaches but for the friendship of some of my mates.. Im thinking maybe about playing again, I dunno , it still hurts not having her around. to hug and tell her I love her. It just hurts... I feel like a littlle kid sometimes the way I feel, but its the way I feel. I go to see my dad , give him a hug, cause I never know what to say to him, he goes on about my video games, internet and paytv , but thats all I got... and my music, Have I still got my music Joe? I dunno, I miss my mum...
