aussieRGman A couple of things. One, don't talk about throwing in the towel. Take this opportunity to be with the familia and practice. Take your playing to another level. Channel all that emotion and I bet we're going to hear some great tunes out you. Two, on the guitar. I like the idea of having the sig on the inside of the pick gaurd or back plate. This way it won't wear off. My 2 cents.

Michelle Gonna have to side with the shooters on the cat thing. I can't stand cats that are allowed to roam the nieborhood. If we could pop a few cats around here I would. They attack the birds in my feeders and crap in my yard. Or better yet maybe we should be able to Tazer the owners for being irresponsible pet owners.

Anybody watch the SuperVolcanoe movie on the Discovery Channel last night? If you are into volcanoes or geology, this is a cool show. Mother Nature is one tuff mother f@%&er. Off to school. Late.

Bro Al - Those are tour dates for Y&T. They are an old Butt-Rock band from the eighties. Me and VFRocker like them a lot. The guitar player, Dave Meneketti, is a good guitarist. He is not vituostic like Joe, he's more bluesy. If you get a chance and like Hair music from the 80's. I would recommend checking them out.

Cuth - Y&T were the local fav where I'm from. Funny you should mention the Crue 'cause they are going to be here in July. I just the sign on Saturday. If Y&T come up I think I will have to be there and support my peeps. Plus I like Meneketti's playing. Any news on the homestead?

Mikesb - Yes Vancouver is like everywhere enlse in the NW. But it is a cool town to visit. Don't know if I'd like to live there. All the Tall glass building give it that futuristic look. I see why they do so much filming up there. It definately doesn't look like anywhere else. I did like the exchnge rate though. It made the tax go away. I had forgot what it was like to pay sales tax!! My presentation went well and I was able to answer all the 5 question that came at me. So I feel good. Now I'm looking toward a conference in China summer of 2006. Gotta find a good topic. Throw out ideas if you got them.

muzic4me5150 As far as I know Y&T is going to tour the US also. The dates are still to be determined.

Cheese The parking is better then expected. Here is a sat photo of the area. As you can see there a re a couple lots near by. THe red dot in the venue and the street with the trees down the middle is Burnside. Kell's is just off the photo. Looking forward to the show. Got my glue for Sat morning. Have a good night.

Cheese No problem with the photo. I have a few places to get those.

Yoda " Lick my Love Pump" For some reason I think the Academics might be a shade stuffy for that title. You should keep it though for use with the band!! I think that's a certified hit.

jesel - Hey it will be cool to me ya. I picked Kell's for the location, the ability to have minors and most of all GUINESS!! I don't really drink anything else so it was an obvious choice for me. Have a safe trip up from E'gene and look out for the hippies.

Jazzzzzzzzy Great review. I'm going to try to get to the show on the 24 . Great pics also.

Cheese Congrats on the passes. You definately have some good Karma goin right now.

I got to play for the first time in my improve class yesterday. Noone had heard me play a solo before. We were playing over Blue Bossa. Pretty easy song. It was kinda nice to see the faces light up as I was playing. I'm a glutton for public adulation. Anyway, now that I have used up all my good licks I'm going to have to practice more this weekend!!!LOL I'm sure I'll get no inspiration from Joe and Steve over the next week and a half.!!!

Hickbert - I too have been the way of the Jackson. And have a bit of the Okie in me. Saw Alan on the Mercury tour (50 Merc my favorite car). Crazy 'bout a Mercury I was also singing All My Exes Live in Texas Wed at work. It was a big hit.LOL When my now wife first started dating country music was the only music that we could decide on while in the car. So, now mixed in with Metallica and Vinnie Moore is Garth, Alan, Joe Diffy (love that guy), etc. Time to get thegirls up for school. Plus I have to start preparing my mind for tomorrow night. JOE!!!.

Cheese - Have a safe trip and call me if you need anything.

Castle 49 Man, If I had to choose between SB and Newport it would SB in a heartbeat!! I love the central coast. I'm originally from The Bay but now have webbed feet from being in Portland for 11 years. I do miss SLO and Morrow Bay.

Cheese - I thought you would like that pic. Get a good nights rest and we'll see you for Bangers, Mash, and Guiness.

Hey everyone, Jus t got back from rehearsal and thought I would say again that Michelle (wife) and I had a great time at the Portland show last night. I second TheBob's comment on the mix. The sound guy did a great job!!

I'd also like to say "Glad to have seen you!!" to Tracie & Chris (Cheese101), Ken & Wanda (The Fireman), Lon & Diane (2297electricrainbow) and Pete Brost (Intonated). It was great putting faces to the names. Wanda, Michelle is looking forward to doing some knitting in Bend.

Blue Buffalo, The Bob, goes211 _ Sorry I didn't get a chance to meet up with you. Maybe next time.

Keniko - That sounds like an awesome project. I figureing out solutions like that. I am currently looking at putting in a storage tank that will catch out rain water(it is Oregon) and then use that to water that yard during the dry month. It's all about sustainability. Don't forget the warm bath and Epsom salts. Of couse, if you can talk the other half into a massage that would work, too!!

Keniko - I was a carpenter for about 20 years and self employed for 7. It's a hard life that's why I'm back in school studying Civil Engineering. Nothing like a desk job to make your ass fat!! lol

Steve T - Did you have another lesson? How di that go? what's his teaching like?

Yoda - I'm listening to the Mp3s right now. I'm 1/2 way throughLet me heal and I've listened to Lost. Good stuff. I like the rhythm on Let Me Heal. Both songs remind me of early Queensryche both in compositionand in tone. I'm interested in how the new singer fits in. When do you think there will be some new recordings?

Mike - He's not that creative. He's a drummer!! LOL. He just told me he had my Pert hanging. He doesn't say too much. In all honesty he knows that he is the weak link musically and actually has a bit of the paranoids that we are all going to leave and find another drummer. He did question my ability this week before rehearsal though. We added Shapes of Things. The Gary Moore version. After listening to it, ha calls me and says "You really think you can play that solo?" I was floored. So of course I practiced it for about 45 min before practice and then nailed the solo but just smiled. He was like "OK, OK, you proved your point." I don't expect any of those comment for a while. hee hee How are those Cubans? Did you smoke em all already?

Zen, Mike - I, as you, do not participate in the papal domain. However, we are all going to be affected in one or another by decisions that are made by him, being members of the world. We now have a new Pope just as 50 years ago we got a new Lama.

Slansh - Slansh, wassup? Tura, "Hello" to you, too. Yea, both Keniko and I were in constuction for a long time. He did concrete and I was a carpenter. I love working with wood and building things. It just got to where I hated doing it for other people. So, I went back to school and work in a different field so that the carpentry is enjoyable again. Hey, BTW my buddy in Barca now. If you and Tura get a call from Juanita, that's her. And she's not gonna call me civgeek. lol I have another friend that is getting on a plane in about 45 minutes and flying to Bilbao. They are going to ride their bikes east and try to drink all the wine they can.

So the cheesy one was creeping again. That's funny. I can't wait to hear the tune from you two. I really need to spend some money on recording gear. I think I have hurt my playing by not having it, plus, all those lost ideas.Take care and watch those fingers.

Delfino That was Michelle that posted about the bands. Do you graduate soon? It seems like this place is not the best for you.

Well affter a year of rehearsing and many bass player and singer auditions I am once again an ax slinger looking for a gig. The drama queens in the band could not decide who was going to get to wear the glass slippers to the prom and the whoile band in now defunked. So, any of you in Portand that are looking for a guitarist, drop me a line.
