Nice chattin w/ ya'll last night. As usual, I had an abrupt exit, but hey duty calls.

Latest band news: We have another guitarist. That last guy was just not picking up the songs fast enough. The new guy is on the ball. We have 28 tunes introduced and ready for polishing and it's been two weeks. We should be out playing by Feb. *fingers crossed*
If anyone has some suggestions for cover band names pass them along. Either on the board or by email. Right now we are called Hook'D but it just doesn't grab you. Help please. I have till Sat to come up with alternatives.

Thanks

Thanks for the help on the band names. There were even some good ones. I WAS SURPRISED!! : ) Some of the others I found were
Muffin Funnel
Errant Spittle
Butt Nuegat
Phychodelic Maggot
Virtual Spooge
I doubt ant of those will be in the running but they are great conversation starters.
I do like *Zerrocks* and *Frozen Past*
Thanks again all.

Mikes b - Thermo sucks ASS!! I am beginning to REALLY not like this class. Too many tables. The concepts aren't that bad, but the process stinks. Sorry to hear about your break in. Having stuff ripped is never cool. At least it wasn't family. A story for another time. Do you think YJM would be willing to chat with you again? I know he's a bit arrogant, but he's not overly busy these days.

I think Shapes of things is getting the boot. The drummer doesn't think it's well known enough or as danceable as other songs we can do.And he's the boss. Bummer cause I was looking forward to that solo. OH wel I still have at least 1 Satch tune/night.

Wow another night of low sleep hours. Got up at 2:30 with equations bouncing around my head again. So, I got up and finished my Fluids Lab report. Only 10 pages, but it looks great. I think the lack of sleep was punishment for being a lazy ass this morning, staying in bed till 9:30 and not starting on homework until 11:00. Oh well, one way or another you gotta get shit done. Guess I'll get started on rewriting my Transportation homework. Have a great day all.

Mike - I'll know more about that on Wed. The last hw was tough. I started to get it eventually (1:00AM) but it got it. We're doing Work now, not too bad but I haven't started the hw yet. Fluids looks real easy but I'm not getting the right answers. I think the problem is I'm not doing the statics part right. I'm going to meet with the TA tomorrow (today). That should help a lot. I really think it's the statics. I wish I had time to play my guitar. I played like crap at rehearsal Sat. Everyone could tell I hadn't been practicing. Just have more important things on my plate. Enough whining. At least it's not raining too much. Woo Hoo!!

Blue moon,
You saw me standing alone,
Without a dream in my heart,
Without a love of my own.

Blue moon,
You knew just what I was there for.
You heard me saying a pray for
Someone I really could care for.

Blue moon,
You saw me standing alone,
Without a dream in my heart,
Without a love of my own.

Blue moon...
Without a love of my own.

962 - I had no idea you liked T.O.P. I grew up with that group. We have a family and musical connection. The y the sound of Oakland, California. I'm glad to hear that they have some fans across the pond.

962 and Steve t - T.O.P. is definately where it is at. I can recognize that horn section anywhere. If you want more info on them you can go here,
T.O.P. website

Just got the DVD yesterday. VERY COOL!! I liked all the sets. John was predictably reserved. Now I know how it looks when I play. I am not very animated. Steve and the guys looked like they were having a blast. And Joe was Joe. I'm studing for thermo dynamics today so I think I will hear the DVD a few more times before the day is through.

Steve - Make sure you keep us up to date. It would be cool to have you out in the NW. It'll make the lessons with Greg a bit of a drive but what the hell, iIt's all about the guitar.

danny k - Just looked at your page. Nice to see another MP-1 user in the bunch. I've had mine forever and really like the versitility that is available at the step of a pedal. I play in a cover band and see what our old guitarist used to have to go through between songs to tweak his tone. What a pain in the ass. I have been thinking of getting one or two of the modded versions from ADA Depot. They are about 400USD so not too bad. It would be nice to have the tone range from stock Marshall-Hot Rodded Marshall-High Gain (ala Soldano, Boogie).
