I don't remember the first song but the chord was a D. My hands were small since I was only 4 and so it was the easiest one to finger. That and the big strings hurt!! I also still have my first giutar. It needs a lot of TLC. I will most likely never play it again. I've toyed with the idea of biulding a shadow box for it and hanging on the wall.

Steve T- I'm with you on the Joe longevity. I remember getting tix and a tab book for the FIABD tour cause I had been bugging the crap out of the Toads with the music off the first three albums. Awesome show. Lookin forward to many more.

I like having Joe in the studio. He is real active on the board. However, the anticipation is going to kill me knowing the recording, mastering, distribution process.

OCPS470 - I used to have the same problem reading lines and posed the same arguement to my instructor. He was a classical guitarist. He proceeded to pull some stuff of the shelf and just nail it. He said there easier ways to play things and that's why you practice, BUT the fretboard needs to an extension of your body that you know on an intimate level. And with that I went back into the woodshed. Unfortunately, I still (on guitar) sight read like crap. Good luck on Sat. !!!

Cheese - Chris' room looks pretty clean to me.

Joe Satriani - I understand the dilema that you as an established artist is in. It would seem that the record companies, instead of trying to strong arm people, would find some why to use the situation caused by the internet to their advantage. There has to be some kind of marketing value to all this, especially for the smaller artists. Having said that, I don't have a clue what the value would be. I am no business mind, just almost a Civil Engineer. There are quite a few unknowns that I have in my collection only because of the internet. File sharing and burning of CD's will not stop. It just seems that the industry would be better seved working WITH the people that are paying the bills.

Aaahh the chat room. What can I say. You put a bunch of twisted bastards in a room and shit happens. A lot of us have never met and never will. While there is a lot of remarks slung we need to not take it all personal. Just have fun with it and move on. I'd hate to see people not use the chat cause well.. ya'll crack me up. Where else can you find a gay Irish boy, a Big Bird impersonator, a Metro Canuk with Huge man boobs, and some hillbillies from So. Oregon all in the same place. Isn't the internet fun?

caddymark420 - A Chabot guy. Congrats on the radio gig.See if you can get the wattage bumped up. If you're not on campus the signal is pooey. I was born and raised in Hayward, went to Tennyson High and then Chabot for two years. Are you from Hayward, too? Maybe we know some of the same peeps.

8-88 Number of the... Crap that's 666 mmm Number of the...the... forget it!

Suzie - I have no idea what the names of the teams are in US soccer. As a good upstanding American, I don't watch soccer. I didn't even realize that people over the age of 12 played the game. lol

The Bob - Well, there are no places up here like MI. However if you want to learn music the college has a great program. It would be a jazz program but hey that's the degree Petrucci has. Where are you now?

Mater Yoda - I figured that would ruffle a few feathers. I do have a question though, why is a guy can be writhing on SOCCER field, need to be carried off in a strecher, yet come back in a few minutes later? Sounds more like Pro Wrestling to me. That and they pee on the field. NASTY!!! Oh, and does the home team have to furnish the orange slices for both teams or does the visiting team need to bring their own?

SuppaDave - Ah come on man. I didn't get to read it. Damn. Nothin like a good case of banter. Looking at some of the following posts my guess is you mentioned Hooliganism. Ha Ha. Bunch of nut jobs!! And this is coming from a die hard RAIDER fan.

Simon - I've been to a few rugby games. Those guys are nuts!! The difference though is the speed of the game. Until you get at field level for an NFL game you don't realize just how fast those guys are. There is a reason they have on gear. As for the debate all in good fun.

Clarky - Last time I played I was about 12. I went to kick the ball and someone stepped in front of me and I kicked the back of their plant foot. My toes were swollen for weeks. They were a nasty blue, black and green. I swore to never play that game game again. You are right about the younger leagues. I love to watch college (university for you) basketball. The mens game is as fast as the pros and has the same athletisism (sp?). Plus the guys are playing for the love of the game. Sure there are a few that are playing to go pro, but they are few and far between. BTW Hurry up with the damn record for God's sake!! We're all chomping at the bit.
