Steve T- Right now I'm playing through a Peavy XXX into the Mesa 4/12. Was playing a Dual Rec for a while but actually like the XXX better. A bit more gain, I don't have to work so hard at the harmonics and it gives a pretty wide variety of tones (due to the active tone controls?). Right now I have it (12 is neutral)
Rhythm - Highs/11:30 Mids/2 Lows/2 Gain/12 Volume/11
Lead - Highs/10 Mids/4 Lows/12 Gain/2 Volume/2
Then I run that into a hotplate just to overdrive the amp a bit more then I cut the volume on the hotplate 4dB and turn the bass boost on. This setting seems to be a pretty good starting point and it cuts through a lot better than where I had it before (more highs, less mids). Then I have a Lexicon m-100 in the effects loop. Mostly I just use a bit of chorus and small amount of reverb. I have a delay patch, a heavy chorus, phaser for clean chords and the VH covers and a weird little patch that sounds like a 12 string. I really need to dig into the unit a bit more for patches when I'm covering keyboard parts. So well see how it goes. I also have a guy out here that is going to start building amps and so I may start working with him. It's all about free gear! The band should have some songs up in the next couple months. We play this Friday then not again until the end of Feb. That should give plenty of time for recording.
Tha's prolly way more than you wanted.

Well we have 5 drummers audtioning on Sunday. Gonna be a hell of a long day. I believe we have each for an hour with a half hour inbetween for switchover and rest. Hopefully there will one good one. Then next week we have 3 more. All to get ready for a gig March 30th. Whew! All that and school I must be nuts.
Take Care all.
DONNY DARKO - Don't get down on yourself. You haven't failed, you have only found a way that doesn't work. Look at you sched and your study plan see what needs to changed. Don't be afraid to ask for help. While there may be cultural differences between here and Turkey my general assessment is that teachers like to teach. Therefore, go to them anytime they can see you. "Good Luck My Man!"

I wonder if Bruce is going to play with Pablo on the G3. I know they are together for the Get Out of My Yard tour. That would be scary. What"s the over/under on the number of notes that wil be played each night?

Slash - Did I see that the lady is 6 weeks along? Congrats! BTW: How's the hand doin? Everything all back to nornal?
Michelle - I see you got Wolf's attention.
Chee - Glad to see you had a good time and made it back to the good coast intact. AGAIN!! Let me know when you come up this way we coulda hung out a bit. I'd even have come out to the airport. The city aint that big. Take care of yourself.
DCK - Hey Mark long time no talk. Howis it going?
Mrs. DCK - Glad you're in. Not sure how you deal with Mark but I guess you have to have a great sense of humor.
Well I'm finally all cought up. School is going well. Band is going real well. The new house has a long project list but who cares it's mine (and the banks)There has been so much going on in the world the last few weeks I wish everyone would just take a minute to show some love to those around them. Give your kids an extrahug, call your parents, call your siblings. It's amazing how such a little thing like "Hey how are you?" can lift someones spirits.
Take Care Everyone

NICE!! That track listing for the new DVD looks great. I always wished Joe would do a tour where he played only the more obscure tracks from his collection.
On another note, yesterday was my daughters tenth Bday. Hard to believe it's been that long. I also got back my first midterm in the class that I am taking for the second time. I got an 80 so I'm fairly excited. Last time I got a 23 on the first test. I also got my full-time offer from the company I work for along with a nice $7/hr raise. That will make it easier to make the house payment. Top that off with some BEAUTIFUL weather here...and I am a happy man.
Chee - working on two projects in you NECK of the woods. (got to love the word play) One off of El Cerrito and Hager and one where Hwy 97 and Hwy 39 come together just north of Campus Drive. They are fairly straight forward projects so I don't think they will warrant a trip south, but if they do I'll keep you in the loop.
