hello joe. I'm Drew. You have a fairly big fanbase in my school because i have the cd of the G3 Rocking in the free world. Me and my friends are always having discussions (and once a mess fight!) about who's the best of you mr vai and yngwie. I usually stick up for steve but my friend's like your desciple. you're really incredibly super duper cool. I play guitar and one day i thought "hmm... i can play everything by page and hendrix and may and slash, so i must be really good." and then one day by accident i bought the rocking in the free world g3 cd (purely because it said Joe Satriani on it, i'd never heard of you but i liked your name and i was st0ned.) and i listened to it, had an orgasm while listening to every track and now i just think you're the best. well done.

(AGAIN) me and my group of friends (i'm the one whose screen name was the release date of your first album) we decided that yes you are God of guitar. the best who ever played or ever will play (except me! not really. but it's my ambition to practice my fingers off and tour with you.. some day,,) well done. i can't believe that you might read this post... written by a mere mortal! what's your favourite satch song??

hey i was wondering what's this scale called (i figure i came to the right place) HEY SATCH I LOVFE YOU (depending on what day this is, this time next week i'll be in the albert hall having multiple or*asms at your guitar powers) ok the scale is where you go up in three semitones each time so it's:

ON FRIPP: I love him. does anyone know how i can contact him? let me explain.. i don't love him for his music.. not that i've heard any of it but the thought of a 30min soundscape makes me cringe. i love his humour. dark and twisted towards everything, including himself. he'd be pretentious if he wasn't so harsh on himself. he has lots of wit. i love the way he mentioned how much the people hate his 30minute soundscape and yet he still does them. he's making himself happy. completely self indulgent. that's where the art is. his art is not making the music say something but his statement is "i really don''t care" and he truly doesn't.. marvelous.
ON YNGWIE: His music i adore. I can nearly play as fast as him but that's not the point. there's drama in his music. Blitzkrieg is truly breathtaking.
On SATCH: I'm not sure if words can ever do him justice. he has that overwhelming power that makes everyone think they're his biggest fan
ON VAI: Same as what i said for satch. slightly less of something but a whole lot more something else. G2 are the two most talented musicians alive today

WAHHHHH!!!! G3 today at albert hall. untill last night i had to go with "choir" section passes but then i met this woman and she has two press tickets so she's bringing me. I'm so happy. i wanna meet them all, but i reckon fripp could probably just go and hide from all the people. but still.. G3 tonight! yey.
(ps i'm not going to make any requests for any songs but i would like to hear a bit of steve's voice... and a whole lot of everyone's guitar) i found out last night that "Whispering a prayer" is about ireland. i'm from ireland so that's cool.

if anyone needs a ticket for albert hall tonight tell me who you are and what you look like and i've got a ticket, it cost £30 i'll sell it for £20 or i'll swap it for a live in denver dvd. unfortunately it's in the choir seats (i think that means they're kinda behind the stage) but you still get to hear it and all. post on here if you want it. (and write my name in bold, i love it when people do that)

i was at g3 in royal albert hall last night. the sound was excellent, the playing was excellent the coke was £1.80 a bottle! no but seriously it was a life changing concert for me. keep up the good work guys.

interesting experience today, met a guy on the streets of london and got talking to him about joe and steve and yngwie. we were talking and he was like "yeah i love all that widdling stuff" and i was like yeah it's pretty cool and then he told me he'd heard my music and should ask joe if i could tour with him. me a fifteen year old "gary moore" style and standard player. JOE where do i send my demo cd and what do you wanna hear? he then told me he stopped playing guitar ever since he became a monk...

ROSS wasn't the concert incredible? i was there too. i had a choir ticket but i got into the front stands! stevie was inceredible. and satch on flying in blue dream truly amaxzing. i loved the way fripp bored the hell out of everyone and then for the jam went crazy. he really added a new life to those satch songs as well. great stuff.
