Hi Joe and fellow Satch fans, Just wondering if 2004's G3-Live in Europe with Robert Fripp, is scheduled to make a much needed release to DVD?

I would so have loved to attend even one concert, however as I live in Australia it was not possible.

If there exists strange marketing problems wich restrict or even worse prevent the release of such a DVD then you have a host of fans who are really hanging out to see something of this concert.

Both a Fripp fan as well as a Satch and Vai fan(no particular order, your all great guys), I can get a partition going if there's any problems and there are many King Crimson- Fripp fans who are extremely eager to know of such a release.

All the best and keep on Rocking Joe, Sean.

Hi there Joe and fans alike, I guess my main question right now, at this current moment in time would be:

CAN YOU PLEASE RELEASE A DVD OR EVEN AN ALBUMN, of the European G3 with Robert Fripp? If Robert is ever around please let him know he's terrific and it would be so nice to be able to at least hear this concert. Living in Australia has had the most annoying aspect in that I will have to save up huge amounts of money to visit all the locations of the world where my favourite musicians frequent.

I met Steve after one of his concerts here in Australia at the Sydney Enmore theatre and let me tell you that man has to be one of my heroes. An absolute legend. Why? His music is simply great and being able to have even 5 minutes of his time was indeed a great honour. I tell you Joe, a G3 in Australia would be a huge success as there's many fans and there was certainly no empty seats in the Enmore theatre that glorious night. Why am I telling you this?

Well because myself among MANY others love the music of Joe Satrianni as well. It would be awesmoe to see a G3 live in Australia.

But most importantly and I guess I have thrown a question and a request in(that's not greedy or anything is it?), I simply love Robert Fripp and enjoy his experimental music. There's so much I get out of it. Active listening is an art form in itself and Robert promotes it well. Sadly there must not be an international appeal about Australia that issues it wiped from the world tours of great musicians. Needless to say any visits we do get here are most appreciated.

So in short it would be most appreciated if some kind of release could come out of the European tour with Fripp as it's not about making money, it's about simply allowing fans to have the honour of hearing the music. Those of us that would have given there right arms to be there but where not offered enough for the appendage that would cover the cost of flight, and accomodation. Even a boat ride for that matter. Even if a set list could be posted or something. If I know Robert though, he would have given one of his magnificient magestic soaring soundscape improvisations. I've never been able to even see a single concert with Robert, so the DVD releases that King Crimson released where such gifts.

Thank you for releasing the Yngwie/Steve/Joe DVD, that was sensational and a fantastic way for fans that where not able to afford world travel to get to the event. All the other DVD's are most appreciated as well and your Live in San Francisco was magnificient. Please let Stew Hamm know he's great. Equal to Billy Sheehan even. :)

All the best and more for yourself, every great person who views this site and is a practicing musician and to Rock music in all it's great and experimental forms Joe, Sean A. Curtin

CONFLICTING DATES.

Joe, I am writing this letter to you, the managers and all folks with the same terrible dilemma.

The day your visiting Sydney in Australia. That would be March 2005, Wed 16th of March, is the exact same day that another one of my favourite musicians and a sterling guitarist to boot is also playing on that same night.

MARK KNOPFLER IS PLAYING THE EXACT SAME NIGHT YOU ARE JOE.

What's worse, I already have tickets to see Mark Knopfler and only found out about the dates for your concert by word of mouth. (Naughty blokes who send out news letters to members of the Joe mailing list, shame on you, as I have not received a single notification. :( ) Perhaps the dates are not yet concrete (fingers crossed as I know a lot of the audience at Marks concert would all give there right arms to be at your concert also. If only we where able to just split in half and go to both).

So if the organisers can work around this dilemma and change the date so Joe isn't competing against Mark Knopfler, it would be much better for sales. Both guitarists are fantastic and I certainly didn't choose to go to Marks concert over yours Joe, I simply did not know about your Aus tour(that's what it looks like, THANK YOU).

Anyway, if worse comes to worse I will just have to catch a plane to Melbourne as I can't miss seeing your concert Joe, it's been a long time since you last visited Australia and I didn't get to see you then either.

I hope this information is of some help and I am so glad your giving myself and the many fellow fans down here alike a rare treat inded.

Hears to hearing you LIVE.

All the best Joe, YOU ROCK!!!!!! Sean A. Curtin

Hi Joe and all other fellow Satriannists alike, A few things. The first is of course a well rounded thanks to all the members of the Joe Satrianni band and all G3 participants. You guys are the sonic embers of my soul in ways words can not express.

The next and in no particular order is to wish everyone the very best for the new year and to success all round.

Now, 2nd last thing. I finally got to see the G3 - Live in Tokyo concert(I know shame on me). It was once again a real treasure and I play clips from it all the time. Steve looked a bit tired but battled on like the awesome warrior guitarist he is. All over all players looked great and a nice version of Smoke on the water was gratefully received. Many thanks for making that one possible to use folks who couldn't be in Tokyo at the time.

Finally, ROBERT FRIPP G3. Please, please, pretty please with a cherry on top(now how's that for a retro blast), bring out a DVD of the G3 Fripp concert. I so love to see Robert playing. He's right up there with yourself, Steve, John, Yngwie and Eric. I have a few King Crimson DVD's and was ever so grateful they came out full stop. However to see a concert with three of my all time favourite guitarists will give me a much wanted anurism(Steve's word for the buzz thrill power us fans go through when ever you guys grace us with your presence), well that would be sensational to say the very least.

KEEP ON ROCKIN IN THE FREE WORLD JOE AND FELLOW FANS. Sean.
