Steve W- I'm doing great, how bout yourself? The guitar is coming along ok. I guess I'm jus a slow learner. I also tend to get caught up w/the electronix and start foolin around which doesn't help neither. I bought a whammy bar for my JS100 Thursday and taught myself to do the screaming harmonix Joe does w/the bar.
JOE- Glad to hear you're doing better and glad to hear you're taking plenty of time to get the rest you need.It means a lot to the rest of your fans that you're willing to take the time (especially now) to read some of the get well messages. Continue to get better and good luck w/producing the new Chrome guitar.

Hey every1, hope all is well. I've been silent for a bit, but I'm back. I know I'm probably the only1 here who doesn't know what it is, but take into consideration, I've only been playin guitar for a lil over a yr. What is this NAMM show every1 has been talking about. I'm comepletely clueless. So any info would be greatly apreciated.

I had something happen to me last nite I never had happen before. I turned my amp on, and I heard voices coming from it. For a while I actually thought it was either possessed, or something.LOL (too many Ghost Hunter shows) Then after a bit, I remembered Satch saying the begining voices in "Flying in a Blue Dream" occured the same way

BigBunny- when you say BLS, I'm assuming you mean the Black Label Society, right? I'm going to see them perform in April. Zakk Wylde is an awesome guitarist, although he relize on the pentatonic scale to much in his solo's. I really think he needs to widen his vocabulary.

big bad moon 1889- To sound a lil more like Joe, he uses a Dunlop 535Q Cry Baby Wah. It cost me $120. If thas too much for ya, they do sell other models for under $100

Hey Steve W- How have things been? I've been quiet lately jus scimmin through some of the posts. I'm a racecar driver as well, and yesturday, a bunch of us racers got together fr a slot car charity event an raised almost $1,800 for breast cancer. So I've been keepin pretty busy. It takes time from playing guitar, but for things like charity, especially cancer cuz I know a few ppl w/it, it's well worth it. Take care dude
MIND STORM FOREVER THE BEST JOE SATRIANI SONG, unless he comes up w/something real spectacular on his next album. And knowing Joe, he probably will.

RBreit- I also have the Digitech RP80. It's kinda tough to get sounds that are similar to Joe's. You jus need to keep screwing around, and editing the different effects til the sounds come close.
Jimi- Glad to hear you won aftershow passes. I won those a while back as well. Jus don't start stumbling for words (Like I did. lol)when you finally do meet him. Jeff Campitelli and Matt Bissonette are real cool as well. Galen Henson didn't come out though. Congrats and I hope you enjoy the show and M&G

Oh man, I can't wait. 2 more months til I see Zakk Wylde's BLS. I hope Joe decides to tour around the NYC area again too before he finishes up. LET'S GO EAGLES

i_love_js- To make those jet like screams, Joe does an open pinch harmonic w/his picking hand, and w/his left hand, uses the whammy bar w/his left. The effects are up to you, although it does help when you have the wah pedal on, but the pedal "floored"

Hey all, wussup?
I'm jus curious to hear what songs got you guys hooke to Joe Satriani. I heard Summer Song on the radio last April which made me check him out the next time i was in the music store. I bought The Anthology, then as I listened to the 10th song on the 2nd cd finish, I heard this awesome begining, then a real heavy riff to the 11th song. Mindstorm was the song that made me a Satch Fan. And to this day I hook more and more people onto Satriani w/Minstorm and Searching. Once they hear those 2 songs, they become big Satriani fans.
