hey anibur! Nice to see you back! Are you going to be at SBE on July 18th? Who was it saying about imagining the audience naked to overcome stage fright? I tried it last night at the jam in Kingston, it really worked! I was able to look at the audience while I was singing(and smile)! PhrDom: you missed an excellent night. What's with all this getting up at 2.45am to work mallarkey?Get to the Grey Horse in Kingston on a Tuesday night & witness the birth of the next guitar god in the making: ANDY CORTES.Remember the name. He's only 14, but you will hearing about him, for sure... Naty: sorry about Italy (smirk)...I can't help but feel glad when all these mega teams get knocked out, more chance for ENG-A-LAND!! (Good decision to support us now!)

njbeast: about the stage fright thing, here's my advice: its just keep going, don't give up....ever. If its really bad, and you think you've made a complete idiot of yourself, and you can never show your face again......that's the one you have to follow on from. The next one will be better. However bad you think it is, 90% of your audience will be wishing they could get up there and do what you are doing, half as well as you do it!! The other 10% will be feeling pleased because they will think that there's more hope for them ....so you see, you can't lose really!(Unless you give up...)

michelle :) good thinking!

ps. Where's AVARICE these days? Scared off by the new layout???

sharon: nice one..LOL!

ps ENG-A-LAND!!!! GO FOR IT TOMORROW!!!!!!!

Bad news for England(and USA) yesterday: Good news for Oasis"Stop Crying Your Heart Out" is bound to make no. 1 now!!

jblaze1: keep your eyes & ears open. I think the next person who posts "Hey Joe, etc"....or" Why do they Boo Stu....." etc, is probably AVARICE in disguise!

Saturday night......Have fun everybody.

Nearly there for SBM. I've got my stereo cranked up ready & waiting.....already it's my favourite album ever!!!

anibur: be suspicious of the ones who can't spell....very suspicious!!!! Also, don't be fooled by names, post codes & e-mail addresses, he's a very clever boy! (he thinks.....!!) .....or maybe paranoia strikes deep...

Hi Guys! Listening to SBM right now.......I think this will end up being my favourite album(who asked that question??)

Can't say yet which is my favourite track, will have to listen some more. I think it could be seven string or hill groove....or maybe chords of life.......

Wow!! Joe: you have really excelled yourself...and everyone else who helped with this album . Lets not forget the crew! Joe: Please play this new stuff when you come to London!

PhrDom...try to make it next Tuesday night. 9-11pm.W atch out for the girls in BLUESPOWER!!!! Also, watch out for boy prodigy ANDY CORTES, not to be missed! (Dont forget to bring a guitar!!)

Oh Man.....sevenstring is playing ....this HAS to be my favourite!

jblaze......hhhmmm....dont think so! I think we have a genuine griper...(I could be wrong!)

jblaze: I agree.(I think the lack of humour is a giveaway!) Can you think of one other place on the whole web where we can express our views in the way we can here? Webmaster: you've done an amazing job with this site. This new layout seems to have had a psychological effect of giving people their own space to express their views, and of containing the more dominant, volatile characters. Anyone agree?

Sad day for WHO fans...just before they started a tour of US too. RIP John Entwistle. I saw the WHO live back in ...?????They were one of my favourite bands way back. My Generation...(what a giveaway!)

Clarky: you will really have to listen more carefully!!!(See what I mean about the psychological effect of this new layout!!!)

Austin: the reason few people reply to you is because your nick's too long....;) Here's what I think of Mindstorm(preliminary thoughts...) sorry we're not keeping to your schedule of one song per day in strict order...! ..and this will not be a technical review... Mindstorm sounds to me like those two borgs having another conversation! Anyone else think that?

michelle: great minds (across the pond) & all that ! We are obviously the (not so ) technical group around here!

Everyone's views are valid, right?!

austin: here goes on Oriental Melody & Belly Dancer: Oriental Melody: Nice moody start & good introduction to the album. This tune reminds me a bit of Pink Floyd in its mood. It has a smokey, hot afternoon oriental feel about it.Then it breaks into some unmistakable Joe guitar......driting back into that laid back melody, & soft drums. Abrupt ending...

Belly Dancer More typically Joe start, a bit satch boogieish...then bursts surprisingly into lovely eastern melody line, & almost classical sounding guitar. Follow on is reminiscent of Steve Vie melody, & guitar work. Really nice, I like this track. Mad ending with crazy base & guitar......

sorry, have to go on... Starry Night Truly one of Joe's most beautiful melodies. Im glad this is going to be the single. Its a classic. So sweet & such a beautiful guitar tone, so consistently lovely. Maybe a bit Claptonesque, but how can that be a bad thing? I love it!

OK , thats it, How am I doing here?

oledaman: I hope you just made a typo, as there is NO show in London on 28 July...!

Mr Nick: we do tend to talk among ourselves when joe's not around! He's a bit busy , you know....

jblaze: hows this for synchronicity....on Sat night I was give two KWS cd copies(in exchange for a copy of SBM......sorry Joe!) Never listened to KWS before, but from what Ive heard so far, no resemblance to SRV whatsoever!(anyone wanna fight??)

Bought a new CD player today, & Im saturating the walls with SBM......

jblaze1: sorry for belated reply, been too busy to post(or fight!!) My SBM cd has welded itself to my CD player, so I cant get to listen to my new KWS....but I checked with my knowledgable friend who totally agrees with previous opinions posted here(except that no-one sounds like SRV because he is totally unique!)........I will let you know what I think at a later date..............!

Happy & Peaceful 4 July to all US people!

giacomo: I think Shepherd's Bush is sold out already. A friend of mine just tried to get tickets & couldn't......

jblaze: listening to KWS "Ledbetter Heights" right now, & I concede! Some tracks sound exactly like SRV, & on others he's very Lowell George.....Some tracks are pretty standard, but there's a few good tunes there,,, (sorry about that "shell" that cut you, it wasnt me!!....;))

Clarky: Hi there..glad to see you back! Congratulations on the move..whereabouts in Berks are you? When's the housewarming? Btw, what have you done with AVARICE??

MAJOR TOM: sorry I got annoyed(but it was a bit annoying!) Anyway, I did vote, & congrats in getting Joe up there where he belongs....

PhryDom: Are you going to make it to a Tuesday jam then? There are few more around the place if you're interested...

Joe: cant wait to see you on July 18! Hope the tour is going well..love the reviews from the Bulgarian concert...

Now, back to SBM.....

PhyDom: no need to fear! If you can play a 12 bar in E , you'll be fine:) By the way, if you still have that ticket, I may need an extra one?(If Naty's not taking you up on your offer, that is!)

Michelle: wait a few more years with the kids & you just give up (when they get bigger than you, that is!!)

PhrDom: If anyone from here were to turn up then I WOULD be nervous!! But ok, here's the plug:

Blues Jam info for London Based people: Every Tuesday..Grey Horse, Richmond Rd, Kingston. 9pm - 11pm. Every other Tuesday the jam is run by Robin Bibi (who's band recently supported B B King & who lists Steve Vai & Joe Satriani among his heroes!) Heres a link, with info about Robin Bibi & the jams: http://robinbibiband.co.uk/ Just bring a guitar if you want to play, all amps etc provided.

The good thing about the jams is you never know who will be playing with you, or what level they will be playing at...(so 12 bar in E is a safe bet!!!) Its a good way to overcome nerves, because it really doesn't matter if you screw up..there's usually someone worse than you (peferably just before you play!)The atmosphere is very supportive & friendly. But if you want to come along as a spectator, thats fine too!

PhyrDom :I will find out about the ticket & email you if its definite....

Naty: it's not the ticket that wins the aftershow...you qualify when you put your name down as attending the show, so I'm entered anyway whether I buy the extra ticket or not (you can only enter once!) .I can't believe Im now no.178.....man, thats so embarassing! That means so far I've been registered under this nick longer than anyone else going to SBE........that MUST qualify me for aftershow!!!! hhhmmmm.....maybe its time for a change.....
