Dear Joe,
My name is Ashley (16 years old, UK) and ive been playin guitar for about 2 years (maybe 3 im not sure), and i came across your music a couple of months ago when going through my total guitar magazine cd's. Before i knew it i had 4 of your albums (Self titled, surfing with the alien, flying in a blue dream and the electric joe satriani (an anthology)). I really only have one question and it's probably one your sick of answering lol; when (and why) did u choose to go instrumental, i can understand ppl choosing to now with bands like your G3 around. But it must have been a big step for you to create origional techniques; it's like following a rulebook that you created yourself. Thats all really. Apart from the question i just wanna congrat u on making some of my fave albums and becoming an influence to many.
