Actually, If you have quicktime installed, just go to:

"C:\Program Files\QuickTime\QuickTimeUpdater.exe"

or you can go to:

"C:\Program Files\QuickTime\QuickTimePlayer.exe" then click "HELP" and select "Update existing software"

This is what I did...

Happy Mothers' Day

Steven Wilde I'm STILL praying for you!

Like the Petra song said, "Get on your knees and fight like a man!". I love that. Get on your knees and pray for Steven Wilde, everyone!

And add a prayer for all the troops in Iraq and pray for the whole world. The world is going you-know-where in a handbasket!

We need more faith and less hate (my own words).

Goodnight. :<)

Suzie 2000

I am 10 posts behind, but I bought my Star Wars Episode III movie tickets on monday May 16, 2005 @ 4:36PM PST.

I will be watching Sunday May 22, 2005 @ 12:30PM PST.

This will be my wifes first Star Wars movie in the theater (she always says "Star Wars is stupid"), so she is in for a treat.

Hey, I took her to see "Titanic" when it was in theaters! And I bought the 44 ounce Coca-Cola!!! No Intermission!!! Oh, The Pain!!!

Watching Star Wars with me is just fair.

Gotta finish reading the posts...

Hello everyone. Been way too busy to post or read. Too bad I have not been working much (for money i mean).

Well, I pretty much knew I would not be on the T2J2 cd, since I basicly said "remove me from the T2J2 CD".

My song needs work, and I only recorded it in 3 days time! Maybe T2J3 ? I'll start recording again for that project!

Take care Steven Wilde and everyone else here at T2J.

Happy Birthday Joe!

Hey there Michelle, Mari, Civgeek, Steven Wilde, and everyone else.

I uploaded my "failed" T2J2 submission to Soundclick

My Song

I changed the name from "rainclouds" to "Winter Blues". I think it fits better, since I recorded it in the winter. OK song for 3 days of recording, if you ignore the obvious wrong notes.

I thought it was pretty good for just making it up that weekend. Also my first "complete" song.

Later all... Ed, KD6AAJ

I have to take a state license test for electricians.

4 hours to take it, hope it's less.

White ford ranger with white canopy. # 5 on front fenders.

Heading to 222 Kearny street. By China Town.

Later, maybe I'll see Joe?

well.... I took my exam. 94 of 100 questions correct! 94%. I most definitely passed! And the guy there told me there are at least 4 questions on the test that are "rigged", the answers are wrong.

I am now CERTIFIED (certifiable?) as a General Journeyman Electrician in the State of California!

This is not a contractor license (I bet they are the same test, though), but a license to work for a C-10 Electrical contractor. Maintenance electricians don't need it.

I wanna play my guitar now!

Anyhow, I left my apartment at 5:15 AM, arrived across the Golden Gate Bridge around 10 AM, drove around until I found 222 Kearny Street and paid $30 for parking (vallet parking under the building).

I went in at 11 AM (test schedualed for 1 PM), and got to start my test early at 11:45 AM.

The test is timed, 4 hour limit. I took my time, finishing at 3hrs and 45 minutes, with 15 minutes to spare.

I left the building around 3:30 PM (thank got it was not 5 PM!) made it across the bridge in 1/2 hour. Then hit the traffic after the tunnel... miles of cars, and heat from the valley! several motorcycles weaving in-and-out of traffic. A fire truck, road sign said accident on road toward Vallejo. Some lady thought the space between my truck and the jeep in front of me was just enough for her Excursion (argh!!!). That was my safety cushion. Now I'm riding my brakes off-and-on because nobody here knows how to drive. Oh well, I'm blasting Satch on my portable CD player with the volume on 100% and windows all down (stupid grin on my face, foam ear plugs in for safety!). Using my fm radio cd adapter on 89.7 FM. I think some one else is listening to my cd, cause I hear echos of "Echos" (haha). I think I'll put letters on my truck saying "Tune in to 89.7 FM, ALL SATCH, ALL DAY!"

Why do we keep stopping, there are no stop lights on the freeway?! After maybe 1 hour or less/more, the only thing I see is somebody pulled over on the shoulder with their hood up. She's not THAT cute, so why was everyone slow until then?

Well, I finally got home at 10 PM the same day (wednesday, 8-31-2005). 565 miles round trip. My wife fell asleep with the tv on. God bless her, she waited up for me! I woke her with a kiss.

I left with a full tank, and put $65 more in the tank before getting home. Spent $100 on gas, bridge toll ($5) and parking.

Gasoline was $2.929 per gallon when I left, now it's $3.259 per gallon here in the Eureka, CA area. I had to fill up again because I was on empty.

Pray for the Hurricane Katrina victims. I will too.

Love you all,

Ed KD6AAJ

my 7 yr old just asked me what "cunt" means.

OCPS you have mail

cuth, I liked the links to the videos of the "Hurricane Katrina, gun stealin', Constitution breakers".

I very much liked the Davey Crocket page!

I saw on the news the other day where a man saved his own life with a shot-gun by blowing a hole in the roof to escape through his attick! The waters were blocking all other exits.

And how about probable cause? The military/police allegedly were trying to get residents to leave, but took the guns from them and let guys stay. Seems they just wanted to take all the weapons away. Forget the people (except old ladies in front of a camera). They could have left her with the gun and saved face claiming not wanting to hurt an old lady. They wrestled her to the ground!

Psych!!! I kinda lied. I scrolled down before he saw it. But my kids do see lots of trash on the internet.

Once they were looking for halloween costumes and found, let us say, another variety of dress-up costumes, complete with partial nudity. One was a "Cat" suit.

I agree with Cuth on many points. We have many freedoms: The freedom to choose what to watch (or not to watch), where to go to church (or not), the freedom to respect others (or not, but that starts to impenge on the freedom of others, as in steeling, robbing, or just being a real jerk?)

Possible Definitions:

"Can't Understand National Television"

"Could Use Nestles' Tollhouse...?"

"Creepy Ugly Nema Toads"

"Committee Undt Nuremberg Trials"

"Could use 'nother tankard" (Hiccup!)

"Cool Under Normal Temperatures"

My 2 cents

In other news... We love you Steven Wilde!!! Praying for you and hope all is well.

Edit ... Michelle, sorry about your kitty. We just adopted one from the Humane Society a couple of weeks ago, her name is Cleo. She is black and white like a cow!

Zenfish, I agree with the resistor/capacitor problem. Wish I had a scematic for the C50. Sound like it is definitely in the main amp, not in the preamp. The bias may be off a little in the tube (resistor/cap values have drifted from normal, or the tube has). Maybe a little bias adjustment is needed? Look for a variable resistor or cap near the tube, then mark it with nail polish or a sharpie before turning slightly one way, then another until better. Or just by another potentiometer for it.

Anyhow, I just spent 4 hours scanning the posts. I need to check back more often. Last time it took 8 whole hours to read.

Would be cool to be able to subscribe to a daily e-mail of the day's post, like some sites. Oh, well. This is more personal.

E-bay is awsome..E-bay sucks too!!! I only lost $15 to some guy in Florida. He was banned by E-bay!!! :<)

sash_wiener I believe you can run an electric or acoustic through a chorus pedal with the "rate" knob turned up realy fast to get a "vibrato" effect. That is how I would do it.

Cheese101 Yep, except I never said "where" in the Eureka area I live. You were probably the car full of grinning idiots I drove by (just joking). :<)

mikesb I hate thieves like that. I too have had my car/truck broken into a few times over the years. I had an electric guitar, peavy amp, and other stuff taken before (1989?).

I had a brief case in there too, with a Bible in it. I can picture the look on their face after jimmying the lock open to see a "Holy Bible" staring up at them!

Hope you get the stuff back.

My wife is PREGNANT! Due in August. Kid # 3 :)

I have been very busy at work, so I have been visiting T2J after a week or 2 at a time usually 20 pages, but just 12 pages tonight. Lot of lightning/thunder and windy with rain. Had power out for a day a week ago. Are you still here Joe?

If we have a boy, he will be named "Joseph". No middle name yet.

My 8 yr old son is "Matthew" so another Bible name won't hurt.

Are you still here Joe?

New stuff, too! I'll be waiting for the pickups and picks.

I loaned my Kramer to my 12 yr old cousin for some school music thingy (details are schetchy, but my aunt is the one who asked).

It is a Christian school, so no worries about smashing it on the stage and stuff.

Just cant play ol' Blue for a while (wipes tear from eye).

Did I mention I'm gonna be a dad again!!!

-------------Edited for spelling. Woohooooooooooo!!!

Love you guys. Badu say hi to steven wilde for me, ok. Praying for you.

Oh, and my daughter Stephanie says "wusup, Joe"?

Hi everyone!

I'm still kicking. Mom and Baby doing well. A little scare couple weeks ago, blood and all that jazz. Trip to hospital, 3hrs later doctor shrugs. Who know, my wife just can't stand still, always cleaning or moving stuff. Baby is due August 23, 2006.

AnyhowJOE, I couldn't watch the broadcast on my old computer, because Quicktime 7 is only available for Apple and Windows XP, not Windows 98 and earlier.

Well, gotta go. Have to test my eeprom burner I built. Love you all,

Ed

Hi everyone.

Just thought I'd poke my head in here.

Wow, was it realy Christmas last I was here?

Baby update.... Wife started contractions monday evening (July 31) and went to hospital tuesday morning. Dilated to 2 centimeters 2 minutes apart. Made it to 3 centimeters in 3 hours. Too slow for immenent delivery. Sent us home, allready have appointment for thursday (every week for the last month or so).

Tuesday. Contractions, 3 cm, 2 min Wednesday. Same as Tuesday.

Finally, Thursday's doctor exam. Doctor thinks that the baby is breached. Will call hopital to set up ultrasound and possible "Version" (a version is just pushing hard on mom's abdomen to turn baby around with aid of ultrasound).

Friday. baby IS breached, Had an ultrasound while Doctor did a "Version" to rotate the baby to head down. Only made it to sideways. Took 1-1/2 hours to get in and out of hospital.

Doctor (and all of us) hope the baby will rotate the rest of the way, or the doctor will have to do a C section if he can't get the bay to move to a head down position. If doctor won't try again, I'll threaten to do it my self with everyone watching!!!. I will do it, if he won't!

Saturday. Baby seems to be head up again. Went to spa to swim. Also trying pelvic thrusts, and pleading with the baby to pleeeeeaaaaase turn down!

Sunday. Still seems to be having contractions. Mom is soo sore from the "Version", she can't tell if she is having contractions or not, but I can tell from hardness of her tummy when she does.

Will keep you posted...

Ed, kd6aaj
