Hey Joe, i just recently heard your music on the radio up here in Wisconsin, home of Lazer 103! First time i heard the music i fell in love with it. I couldn't believe that rock instrumentalist has finally come back. I suppose it makes you feel and probably most of the people reading this message think "man where has this guy been". truth is i just turned 21 and im kinda new to this era of rock. I just received all of your cd's and dvd's and everyone is better then the previous. I've always wanted to play the guitar but i never had any influence. Well i just found it. I just purchased a guitar from ibanez and i love it. I still have a lot of learning to do but i got some concepts down. Joe, got any good tips for a beginner that has just picked up the guitar? What can i do to learn the art better and to inspirate my thoughts? I listen to jimi hendrix quite often and use that as inspiration then theres your music. Its perfect from what i see. Im still a little mad at myself for not coming to see you perform at the pabst theater in milwaukee. I hope that you will come this way again. Thanks for any help! Anthony K.

silent_shady, i hear your plea, i think that dude is demented. Maybe if they ACTUALLY listened to the music insted of looking at it saying boy i wish there were something good, maybe try and see what dear ol' satch has to say throught his music. Being an instrumentalist is not about pleasing "every" one of his people, its idea is to show that satch is good at what he does. getting his money back yeah ok. Joe just keep doing what your doing and nevermind him. maybe he had a bad year getting ideas flowing. its called creative juices and its ok if it doesn't work perfectly "every time", thats what makes a musician good. Im no musician but i know that satriani is god, and good at what he does. Take a look at steve vai or kirk hammet or larry lalonde or david bryson or jeff tyson.

Hey satch fans! I have a question for joe, possibly for anyone else who may know. On the live in san francisco dvd, i see Joe playing love thing on the dvd and right at the end he goes to the volume knob and turns it down and you hear the music follow the pitch of the knob. Another good example is right at the end of Rubina. Also another good example is right at the end of "always with me, always with you" Anyone know how thats possible, i mean is there some type of effect or maybe a pre-amp in the guitar. I always see him turning town the volume knob when it happens. Thanks!
