Performing my version of Hordes of Locusts Friday morning at school.
It should go well. Lotsa tongue, should be an interesting video clip. I'll try to tape Thurday's rehearsals. The other rehearsals this week are a little boring.
The arm socket on my Edge trem keeps going loose on me and I lose my arm stability. A big loose area. It's killing my flutters and whammy vibrato, dives, everything.
I've tightened it several times.

Mr Nick - Eric knows the melody and most of the song, but I am helping him get the solo done by ear. As far as I know, the tapping solo is A lydian.
Relative to E major
We're off to go rehearse now actually. Show is Friday morn.

Ok, I really want to get some videos of myself and Clone 2 transfered from 8mm tape to PC but my compression is not nearly as good as other video I have seen.
How do I compress video really well?!
Is a 600kb/s stream a lot for pretty good quality? Cause, 30mb videos are a little steep to upload/download.
I mean it's not bad if it's a video someone wants to see but it's something I would want anyone to see with convenience, not to mention uploading it to free limited webspace.

Plum - Oh, I have a card that can get video on the net. That's how I got my video site up.
..........
I just need compression help.
I got a 6:37 video, good quality, down to 34mb mpeg. Is that good?
I transfered to PC with divx, 575kbits/s stream with 44100hz, 16 bit mono audio - 86kb/s - and it ended up being 66mb.
When I converted to mpeg, it cut the size by 50%.
So until I get the video up on the web, RICHARD HAIER - HORDES OF LOCUSTS LIVE is available through me.

McDave - Oh yeah, we just haven't caught eachother on yet.
Mr Nick - Of course, email me, I send you contact info.
Cube - My upload max is on avg 16.6kb/s. Takes 34 minutes. If you can d/l anything over 10kb/s it will be fine to send. Take less than an hour.

JOE!!! - (or to anyone else interested) I happened to catch the 50th anniversary for American Bandstand and there was this finale where a whole bunch of musicians and musical actors and TV personalities got together on stage and played this one song.
One of the people was the guitarist from Spinal Tap and he was playing a JS SERIES BLUE DONNIE
I FREAKED when I saw it. I couldn't believe it. I then recalled Joe played some live shows with Spinal Tap and the connection would've been there.
How about that Joe?
...by the way, it's 2am, Merry Christmas

Watched the Harmony Hut jam again. Joe was just amazing when he played. Some of the best things a guitar player will play will not be on an album.
