Crispin - For 600 pounds?? Yeah any tremolo you want. That's more than enough. Far more than enough. For example, a Lo Pro Edge is just under $200 USD. Probably $200 now actually.

Crystal Planet - Of course. What else.

Crystal Planet - This could be because your line in volume is not muted in the playback section (which is why you can hear yourself playing) but in the record section, line in is not selected. Double click on the little yellow speaker in the bottom right. Select options > properties > recording then select line in. I assume you're using line for your POD.

Ovation1 - Hahaha abbreviation.

Austin - The dots over the 'o' in Mind StOrm... more dots means more metal. Look at German and Swedish (Gothenburg) metal and read the European titles. Every word in a title let alone the band members names have dots over the 'o's. Universal symbol for METAL.

Austin - I said the same thing to a friend last night. They're finally making funny episodes again. I guess they got tired of not trying because they had 2 pretty bad seasons.

Ovation1 - I love Viking Kong. Who wrote or played that originally?

Avarice - Hahaha what kind of Jeans! hahaha.

Mr Nick - Happy 700 to you. I didn't know anyone was that close to Austin.

DragonChild - Yeah of course they're actual grammatic accents in some European languages. I'm just saying those countries with those accents spawn a lot of metal bands that happen to name themselves words using those accents. The double dot over the 'o' (called what again?) is just the thing that's remember. Dots = metal.

Jelly Man - If you typed the link out right, that would've been really really funny. It still is, just has less finesse. Haha.

OCP - Not in pain but not perfect. Track's not moving at all. I have all week and with any luck I may get a good minute or two of lead recorded tonight.

Trutina - Retired?? Gee man, i've got no clue about you. I guess what with the Les Paul picture on your website and the limited info, you could always surprise us. Still getting people to call the cops on you? Any rocker would respect that.

Women from India? Haha that reminds me of a Seinfeld bit. "...and what's with all the cab drivers in New York? What does it take to become a cab driver? I think all you really need is a face. 'That's right, there'll be no blank heads driving cabs in our town'. I guess it also helps to have like 8 consonants in a row in your name. 'Yes officer, I believe his name was Hamal and the symbol for Boron.' 'Are you sure it wasn't maganeise?' 'No i'm sure. I had the periodic table of elements with me at the time."

OCP - 2 items. #1. I've completely changed my lead for the first 2 or 3 minutes of my song and am completely satisfied with it. I recorded and experimental take. Tomorrow I will attempt a final cut of those tracks. #2. I now realize how little I know about making a recording sound good as my lead is 90% harmonized, splitting the guitars to either channel with an acceptable sound is very difficult let alone playing the harmonies tight enough to sound ... very very tight. Lots of work tomorrow.

Lyz - What game are you beta testing? No Lyz track eh? I know what you mean, recording is a b!tch. Very time consuming. Lucky for me, I have little to no obligations/responsibilities. C&C Generals takes up a lot of my time lately.

Sharif - Hey man. Been a few weeks? Animal 57? How about Synthetic Beast Experiment 75?

HAS ANYONE SEEN THE RING??? I saw it Friday night. It's my favourite movie of all time. It's so good.... oh man.... oh man it's so freaking good.

(i've edited this post 4 times now, don't wanna double post)

That Satchurated cover is coooooool. That's the coolest looking cover. The 'S' shapes on Chromeboy in that distorted photo... using them for the 'S' in the title, brilliant. Looks delicious. That new Talking back cover is pretty cool aswell

Stu Clone - I'm green dude. You're getting payed to play. Is there anything.... oh man, let me just say I feel like you minus the opportunity to play and get payed.

Trutina - Ah cool. 27, I never knew. You living with anyone? Are you writing a new song for the album.

Jelly Man - Yeah, I think Joe did break his finger... or was it his toe?

Ovation1 - Viking Kong sounds a lot like Black Star. Listen to the bass line. I think Paul is an extremely accurate picker but I find it messy. When he hits the strings, you hear a lot of chirping from the pick as he uses the rear pickup a lot. I am having the same problem actually. You'll probably hear it in my T2J tune. A few sweeps and (#$!$%@#$%) picking runs that you'll hear.

Clarky - Yeah, I think I use a lot of mids and a decent amount of high freqs. Got a lot of tweaking to do. Muting the string? I'll try that. I'm just watch my pick angle.

Crystal Planet - Does it not creep you to hell that someone knows you're watching the video and no one can tell where it came from... and that THOSE DOPE BADASS IMAGES!!?? I went right into my head. My eyes shot wide open with delight when I watched that. Did you not have trouble holding your bowels when she climbs out of the ##$$#%#%$^@#$!@#^%$#^&%$ well!??!!!!!!!! Best movie ever! - My 3 cents... that's right 3 cents!!

r6r - I suck but i'm gonna be on it...

To anyone interested: - I have recorded the first 1:26 of my song with a completely fresh lead idea and I need some feedback on it. I think I like it... but i'm not sure. OCP? Plum? Matt? Pete? Clarky? Trutina?

PhryDom - You gonna include names of people on the T2J album on the site?

Greg M - Yeah I shaved my head August 31st at 12pm. My hair was long like in the picture on my iuma site. The pictures of me with my Jem7V are either this December or last December depending on the picture. My hair is turning into a mop now. It's almost as long now as it was in my diminished tapping video from a year ago.

Clarky - Yeah that makes a lot of sense. I went from 1mm to 1.5mm to 2mm. Now i'm at 3mm stubbies. Very rounded. Very smooth feel when picking but as you said, more time spent on strings. I listened to my lead tracks without the rhythm and all these little noises are apparent. I don't like it.

Stu Clone - Yup, picks. They just feel really really nice. Really good grip because of this beveled crater in the middle of the pick and it's nice and rounded. I still go back to 1mm 1.5mm and 2mm to make sure i'm not spoiling myself.

Siren - Joe Satriani and SRV??? Playing together????? Didn't SRV die in 1989?

Clarky - 3mm dunlop stubbies? That's probably the kind I use. Are they purple? I am just using onboard amp distortion. Gallien Krueger Backline 100(watt). It can get pretty nasty (the good kind) distortion.

Greg M - Are you taslking about jazz picks? Small ones? Those are incredibly confortable for some reason. The reason I don't use them exclusively is because they spoiled me. I could flat pick really well with them but when it came time to use standard sized picks, I was eukered.

Plum Loco - Happy Birthday

Clarky - Sometimes, I swear, i'll just be sitting there with a guitar distracted for a second and the pick's gone.

Greg M - Haha finally someone understands.

He sent me a copy of his debut cd. I also have every track of his first 6 song demo disk. I am completely taken awy by this music. SUPPORT CHRISTIAN ALSING - BUY HIS DEBUT CD $7 USD

Clarky - Haha, that's great.

nah you don't suck, there are just some parts in Always... you need to smooth out. I bet you never practice them either, like you said, you don't practice enough. It's all dangling right over top of you. You just need to stand up and make a grab.

OCP - I can't believe what you just said. How did you get the connection? Why wouldn't you get a demo package together? What do you have to lose? Yeah, Christian Alsing rocks! - Hand... I don't know, fine for now I guess. Song, 65% complete overall but writing leads for the parts I haven't done is very very very difficult. I don't know if i'm going to have this done in time.

Cube - I think Christian kind of sounds like Mattias on those early 6 recordings. He lists Mattias as an influence. His 9 song album, Spasms for Two, is so much more personalized. I like Christian's material more than Mattias anyways.

Cube - Quirkier? It think not. Snubbelstovel is crazy. And if you don't think it is then you have to listen to Spasms for two. My tune, trying to finish the lead but it's very hard. I don't know how Joe does it.

Mr Nick - What exactly do I... click... on? I've tried before. It's some stuff about joining member groups or something.

Mr Nick - Ok, seriously man, i'm trying to sign up for this, it's pissing me off. I hate yahoo.

Austin - Did you ever get a chance to record a bass part? Time's running out for me.

Plum - That's the problem. I have no flow or vibe or feeling in my playing. It's quite horrible.

Austin - Dude, i've posted three times now for ya. Have you worked on those bass tracks at all? I really need to know asap as I am having completion problems of my own.

Ethn - That movie gets that a lot. The people I talk to about it either LOVE it or think nothing of it.

Mr Nick - The link gave me this: http://www.satriani.com/perl/2002/ttj/Try%20here%20instead%20(direct%20link%20to%20the%20file%20for%20download)

So, you'll have to right click on the page, properties, and then copy THAT link.

Cube - Trogdor game???

Phydeaux - Wow no kidding, congrats. I still can't believe people.. .have.... kids. Doesn't make sense to me.

Stu Clone - Ok Excellent. I will send you the rhythm guitar, and rhythm guitar with my one take bassline. There are some ideas in there which would be cool to keep I think. I'll leave it up to you. I'm starting not to care anymore because i'm having so much trouble finishing up my leads.

Austin - Heh, glad you at least liked my track.

Ethn - I can't be offended by ones opinion. Sixth sense? Something cool happen? Ok there was a plot twist, Bruce Willis found out he was dead the whole time.

In The Ring there was a killer plot twist. The woman thought she had 'liberated' Samara's soul but instead just helped her kill more. Is that not an unbelievable plot twist? I think so.

Ovation1 - Yeah I get that part... but why someone would WANT to is beyond me.

Clarky - Italy has surrendered... I never even heard of Italy involved in this. They were sided with Iraq?

Mr Nick - Sometimes pages don't display their addresses in the address bar. Instead, you have to right click on a blank spot of the background (not a link or picture etc...) and go to properties. A proper link should be found there.

Stu Clone - Of course, MSN it is.

Cube - Yeah I got to level 7. Strongbad RULES!!!!! Trogdor game rocks!

I love the 'Fingers' email where Strongbad and Strongmad are headbanging to metal music videos. That rocks!!!
